It is time for the win. back at it for the Procourt Championship and the BMW Championship on the DP World Tour. What is going on, Paul? We’re we’re back from our little hiatus, so we got a little double header. You ready to rock? Oh, definitely. Awesome. Awesome. Okay. So, pretty much this is going to be a uh nice uh I guess uh preview kind of warm up uh get your feet wet for the RDER Cup. I believe all the Americans are playing for on the Procore Championship on the PGA Tour out in Napa except for Xander. Uh Xander Schoffé is having a kid soon. So he is on baby watch and I believe Seb Straa Sea on the DP World Tour is not playing for the RDER Cup European team out there. I think he has a family issue that he’s still getting to the bottom of. But um yeah, so we are back for the first time since the tour championship. Tommy Fleetwood gets his first victory, wins the FedEx Cup. Yeah, he definitely definitely deserves that. Welld deserved, welldue, well earned. And Tommy gets his big big victory. He’ll be in the field for the BMW Championship, you know. Um this is like their equivalent of their TPC Sawrass for the DP World Tour. like their this is this is like their crown jewel of their of their tournament. It’s played at Wentworth, of course, that we both know pretty well from the uh old Tiger Woods video game. Lot of lot of riskreward par fives. Obviously, it’s a parkland course, a lot of trees, more you could almost say it’s more North American style than it is like links or Euro style. So we always have they used to have the uh they used to have the world match play there as well too. Yeah. I think it was like 16 of the top golfers and then they would go to eight four to two. But I know Ernie L’s always played really well there at the world match play. So uh getting back to the procore this thing’s had like about 400 uh um sponsor titles. It’s had uh the Fordinet. It’s had um the Safeway. It’s had, I think, the Friars and this that and the other, but it’s always in the Napa Valley and wine country. Um, a lot of California players, believe it or not, have dominated this uh this tournament. Brandon Steel, he’s won it back to back. He’s he’s from Cali. Uh Max Toma has won it backto back years or actually two years. He’s a Cali guy. Sah Thala has won it. He’s a Cali guy. So, we’re going to try to look for California guys, Paul, for uh the Pro Core on the PGA Tour. And on the DP World Tour, we got probably a stronger field out there. Um I’m going to have a couple of picks for each tournament. Uh I might add to them. So, if I do, I will just add it to the uh YouTube posting and probably probably something more of a long shot I’ll be looking at there. But um nonetheless uh let’s kick it off. Two plays for the Procourt Championship. I am not going anywhere near the top of the board, Paul. It’s basically all the uh US RDER Cup guys like I mean Scotty Sheffller is under two and a half to one. Um I think Russell Henley’s 12 to1. Uh a bunch of other guys in the 17. I mean, you know what I mean? It’s just I I don’t want to be spending that kind of cash to be uh winning a golf tournament. It is football season. So, uh I I only I only know two guys. So, the first guy I kicked it off with is uh Davis Thompson. He has won on the tour. I believe he’s a Cali guy. He um didn’t have the best year this year. He actually missed the FedEx Cup playoffs after being kind of like a a darling last year. Yeah. I mean, um, I think he was one spot out. He was at, uh, 101 and I think the other guys got in at 100, but yeah, it’s usually comes down to one or two strokes as we know, but he’s a long golfer. Tita Green really good. Putter me, you know, comes and goes. So, in in this field, I think he deserves a shot at 50 to1. Oh, yeah. I think he’s one of the better players in the field. I mean after like 30 to1 it’s kind of the who’s just whatever left over. Um Maxoma is at 50 to1. I believe A Bat is at 30 to1. So it’s like it’s kind of a hodge podge, you know what I mean? You got really topheavy and then after that it’s kind of just whatever. Uh I did not go in for any long shots today. I I’ll probably have to look more at the odds and then maybe add one or two. Second guy I got up on the menu is Max Grayerman. Another guy who’s pretty good, Tita Green. He lost in the playoff for us at Detroit. Yeah, he lost in the playoff uh two years ago at Windom. So he’s been knocking on the door just uh he’s had a couple of meltdowns there, couple of fooars as we like to say, Paul. I mean it is golf after all. Yeah. I mean, it’s not easy to win. Like guys like Scotty and Rory make it easy to win, but I mean it’s tough, man. Sometimes some sometimes you can go two or three years without a victory like you know um like Xander Schoffé did, Patrick Kentlay is kind of in that mix. Morau was kind of in that mix. So Grayerman, I think this is a perfect opportunity to get a 65 to one across the finish line. I think it’s perfect odds. I think he should be more like 4550 to1 range. Yeah. And I do I do believe he is um I don’t think he’s a Cali guy. I believe he is a Carolina’s guy. But um nonetheless, I think his profile is really good for this tournament. And I’m thinking somewhere in the, you know, minus 18 toous2 range wins this tournament. It’s usually in that ballpark. It’s one of the shorter courses on the tour, right? So, it’s not you don’t have to worry about overpowering it and doesn’t have a shitload of hazards. Um, just nice mountain drop uh drop backs and beautiful scenery. So, two guys for the Pro Core on the PGA Tour and we’re going to flip it to the DP World Tour, the European Tour. Crazy finish last week in the Irish Open. Paul. Uh I have to admit I w I was not paying too much attention. Uh first couple of rounds the guys um just were just kind of obscure names up there. Didn’t really think anything of it. Rory wasn’t up there. Um and out of nowhere I see the Sunday highlights and I see this highlight of Rory making a 30foot eagle putt to get into a playoff against uh a Danish guy Halerman. And I think Rory wins the playoff to win his home country’s uh Open for his fourth victory of the year. First victory since Augusta. It’s been a while, right? Yeah. Oh, yeah. He got his three early victories at Pebble, Sawrass, and Augusta National. Now he gets to cross the line in the homeland of Ireland. And uh congrats to Rory. He uh looks in pretty good form for the Ryder Cup. Oh yeah. So, so let let me give you my two picks so far, Paul. Uh, I’m going with the accuracy guy on the Wentworth golf course, going with Aaron Ry. He’s had a bunch of uh top five finishes at this course. So, I think it’s I think it’s going to be more of an iron players uh position type winner. Uh I know Billy Horel’s won this tournament a couple times in the last five years. He’s back in the field after his hip injury. Uh, so I’m probably not going to take him. I don’t think he’ll get across for the third time. Not going to take Rory because he just won last week. But, um, John Ro, I noticed his odds were super low, Paul. His were like he’s like seven and a half, eight to one. He hasn’t won on Liv. I mean, he’s lost in like three playoffs. He won their their seasonl long championship without winning, which is this as hilarious as it can be. Everyone laughs about it. Even John Rom thinks it’s kind of ridiculous. But nonetheless, I I was looking hard at him, but I mean, cuz he hasn’t won. I just don’t want to pull the trigger. Um I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he wins, but uh yeah, I think got a bunch of other guys. Tommy is at like 10 to one. I can’t do that. I know he just won the the FedEx Cup and the Tour Championship, but uh I just don’t don’t I don’t see the backtoback victory coming. And after that, it’s uh most of the rest of the RDER Cup top guys, Levig, Havland, uh Shane Lowry, guys like that. Didn’t have too much interest in those guys. Kind of like Levig, but I mean I like Levig at almost every event. So, uh that’s nothing new. So, yeah, Aaron Ry, I got him at 27 to1. Like I said, he’s uh precision guy, really good iron player, and he is uh from England, so he’s most likely got a lot of course knowledge, a lot of top fives. So, let’s see if the putter can get hot for Mr. Ry, Mr. Two Gloves, and let’s see if he can uh get across the finish line for a dub at the BMW. Uh, the second guy I got is one half of the Hoygar twin brothers from Denmark. This time I am going with Rasmus. I think he’s a little bit better than his twin brother Nikolai. I mean week to week you can flip a coin. I mean their their sw their swings are pretty similar. I think Rasmus hits it a little bit further but I mean they’re identical twins, right? Um, so yeah, I like Rasimus 50 to1 in this field. I think it’s a little bit of disrespect. He made the uh Euro side for the RDER Cup on points, so he didn’t need a captain’s pick or anything. So he made it on points and he’s had a pretty good solid 18 months, two years now. And he’s been playing well lately. And I say 50 to1. I I see him more in the oh 35 40 to1 range. And I think on this course he’s got the knowledge. He’s played it a bunch of times. Had some decent finishes. Nothing in the top five, but I mean playing well. I think he fits the profile. So give me Rasmus Hoygard at 50 to one. And uh those are the four picks for the two tournaments. Paulie, no. No top 20s, no eighth place each way, nothing like that. Just straight up. You know what? Uh, I forgot about the top 20s. Good thing that you reminded me that. Um, so I will bet those now that you reminded me. I’ve my mind my mind is elsewhere. Mind. Yeah, we got a little on the mind. Yeah, football’s taken over and just purged my mind. But yeah, I’m going to add those top 20s now that you reminded me. So, I will post those on the uh YouTube thread. But um yeah, good good thing you reminded me Paul. That’s uh that’s one of the many reasons I have you coming along for the ride here. So I mean we had a twoe break here from the PGA tour. Now the tour won’t be back for probably about a month. Yeah. So we’ll be taking another little bit of a hiatus from the golf scene. There’s still some big uh European tour events coming up. the race to Dubai. Uh so we’ll still we’ll still have some events here and there. I’m just not sure which ones in which I haven’t looked at the schedule to be honest, Paul, but I do know their race to Dubai. It’s it ends I think in October, November. Okay. And as I was saying one of our previous shows, we have um a new tournament in India which is part of their playoffs which Rory’s already um Rory’s already committed to. So you know it’s going to have a strong field. Yeah. So, looking forward to that. So, hopefully we’ll have those. Um, I’m not sure if they coincide with the PGA Tour fall series, but um, either way, we’ll have some picks, hopefully some winners, and uh, I will remember to have the top 20 picks ready to go along with my outrightes because I mean, you how many times do we hit a top 20 when the guy didn’t win and you know, um, and it’s awesome when you when you hit both. Yeah, that’s basically why I asked. Usually a lot of your your top 20s have come through. I mean, the guys have gotten like, you know, well within the the top 20. So, it’s, you know, and yeah, occasionally when they when they when they win it, that’s, you know, even better. Yeah, exactly. And I was actually looking at taking the uh Pro Core, the two guys I took in Gray Surman and uh Davis Thompson in the without Scotty market. But I mean, their odds were just so like deflated that I just I said, “You know what? If Scotty wins it, he wins it. All good. I will give him the give him the applause.” And uh well, actually, I won’t. I’ll give him a cuz he wins every damn tournament. So, please, Scotty, let some of us have a chance to win, you prick. Stop winning. But anyways, uh I’d like to thank everyone for joining us on this wild and wacky week uh we have here going on. And we’ll be back oh in a month or so, Paul, to rip up some more mayhem for everyone. So, uh please join us then for more golf action on Beats.
