Hi not looking for a big change just a bit of reassurance and maybe a small adjustment for consistency. Is there any problem with how upright my takeaway is and flared open my elbow is? I’ve never felt like I’m super wide or high but that slot has always been natural for me. I like the ball to move right but have started hitting left hooks every now and then. Any advice to just balance it out and stay more connected or should I stick with it?

You’ve got two things going on: a little head lift in the backswing and a setup that’s a bit upright. That head lift can push the club outward and give you a leftward hook. A simple fix is to keep your spine steadier and let your head stay in roughly the same spot as you start down, since your tempo feels a bit slow. At address, tilt your upper body forward a bit more and soften the wrists so the club sits behind you rather than flaring away. Try these small changes and see if your shots stay more connected and balanced.
