here’s how to power build for longevity now when you hear the word power building you’re thinking powerlifting and bodybuilding merge into one thing you’re blasting heavy one rep Maxes or even heavy sets of three then finishing off the session with pretty mid hypertrophy sets this is one way to run it it’s not good or wrong but there are limitations especially when the fatigue compounds weak to week and in fact if you do care about powerlifting you’re better off training the majority of the months of the year with lighter training to progress muscle size and at the moment I only power lift for about 3 months of the year with the rest of the 9 months being focused around recovery hyper free gold and deficiencies to invest in the longevity of my power building days so my joints aren’t aching or screaming

Incredible
3 months continuously or 3 months evenly spaced throughout the year? Btw that deadlift is insane and impressive af 🔥
Idk man, maybe that works for u because your lifts are elite heavy, and lifting that heavy year round might do more harm than good, but for some one like me who struggles to deadlift 150 kg, I think heavy strength training year round is the way to go.
Experimenting with minimal dose PL training on top of bodybuilding. The PL only takes 15-20 mins with alot of energy left, really like it so far
I still don’t understand
Bro how did you do that much weight on RDL 😲
Missed your content. It seems you were shadow banned.
Dorian Deadlifts with 6 plates is fucking diabolical and not a single soul commented on that??
You’re welcome, someday I’ll join CrossFit
Is your 3 month powerlift thing being a 3 month straight phase or spread across the year sir?
Your squats are high, reduce the weight and do actual squats
Ya build your base then you peak.
Its like that.
If you dont build your base the fuck you peaking for?
Even if you are peaking for power the same applies. Ya build your base tissue, ya build your base strenght, then you peak.
If you dont train hypertrophy, your peaking for ALL other strenght/powersports is impaired. Plain and simple. Thats why they have muscle hypertrophy focused offseason training schedules.
Very interesting take. I’m experimenting with this very concept, but I’m blending it in with my dunk training (which goes against jump training, where body weight plays a huge factor) so far the natural lean mass I’ve put on even in my arms and upper body has only helped my dunking so far !
are you still competing?
I do a few strength focused sets and then hypertrophy for like 3 months and then just hypertrophy for another 3. It helps me avoid plateauing
I do Powerbuilding in a weird way. I do 24 weeks of powerlifting and 24 weeks of bodybuilding per year. Works great.
Natural hypertrophy is going to cancel you after saying this 😂😂
I do like 5-12 reps 5 reps sounds so heavy ong
6 plate rdls is insane
1 week strength, 1 week hypertrophy
