PIERSON, Mich. – The Pittsburg State University men’s golf team concluded the first tournament of the season at the Pilgrim’s Run Invite on the Pilgrim’s Run GC on Tuesday (Sept. 9).
Tyler Hardtarfer finished tied for seventh at +2 (221) over the two-day tournament, for the day he finished -1 (72) with five birdies. Cooper Forth and Mason White tied for 48th at +20 (239) for the tournament. Owen Buerke finished tied for 69th at +26 (245) to round out the top four scorers for the Gorillas.
Santiago Caride from West Texas A&M claimed the individual title, going -7 (212) for the tournament. Indian Hills Community College claimed the team title for the tournament at +10 (886).
Up next for the Gorillas will be the NSU Classic in Tulsa, Okla. Hosted at the Page Belcher GC, beginning on Monday (Sept. 15).
