Matt Fitzpatrick, the 2022 US Open champion, has revealed he’d rather work in football than golf despite earning over $30 million on the course. The 29-year-old Englishman, currently eyeing a Ryder Cup spot for 2025, confessed in a BBC interview, “I love football way more than golf. I’m obsessed.” A lifelong Sheffield United fan, Fitzpatrick said he’s fascinated by the sports data and culture and hopes to one day work within football, though he admits it’s wishful thinking.
