I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

Hey everyone, welcome back to the Hit Golf Channel. Today I’m going to be showing you all of the golf clubs that I currently use in my bag, giving you a full in-depth analysis. What’s been good, what’s been bad, what might I be looking at changing as we come into the off season. And also, I’ve got a few little little tricks and secrets and a few things that I’ve had in the bag for a long long time. almost call them lucky charms. First off, welcome back to the channel. Be sure to subscribe, be sure to like the video, and leave a comment down below. Over the years, I’ve been doing YouTube now for 13 years, and I’ve been testing products for pretty much all of that time. And I’ve had a very interesting journey with golf equipment. When I first ever started YouTube, I wasn’t that interested in equipment. I know that sounds crazy, but over the years, starting to review a lot more products, starting to get my hands on the latest and greatest, I I must admit, I became addicted, and I still am, to golf products. Where I slightly fell into a bit of a a hole was very quickly I would change clubs too often. The last few years I’ve been really on it at not changing clubs too quickly and making sure every club in my bag actually suits me. And I feel like at the moment this bag really does suit me. Let’s kick things off. Let’s go for the exciting things first. Let’s go with the driver. So, first off, under my custom RS head cover, which by the way, you can get online at rickshields.com. Under here, I’ve been using this driver all year, and that’s a long time for me. Almost. And we’re up to like 9 months of using this driver. This is the Tailormade Qi35 LS. When I got fitted for this driver, I’d actually just come off the back end of some speed training. My normal swing speed is about 110 mph driver. Last kind of winter time. I was like, “Come on, I want to up that. I want to get that faster.” And I did. I managed to go up to like 113, 114 on average. That’s when I got fitted for this driver. Now, the reason why I tell you that is cuz I’ve had a very interesting journey with this driver this year. When I swing it fast and when I’m confident with this driver, I have never hit a driver straighter or longer more consistently and it feels and sounds and looks this good. Like that that I mean that is an almost a perfect glowing review. However, over this year, my swing speed just slowly but surely has gone back a little bit more to default around 110 mph and even sometimes less. And that’s when I found this driver hardest to control. I find that my swing speeds up. This works a treat. When my swing speed goes down, it’s a bit too low spinning. However, I’m back on the up again. The swing speed’s starting to go back up again. I’m going to show you something in my bag that I’ve been working on with that. So specw wise, this is 10 and a half degrees, but it’s been lowered in loft just a touch. I’ve got two weights, two three gram weights in the front and one 13 g weight at the back, so it’s not super low spin. This is a Diamana extra stiff 60 g shaft again, which I got fitted for. And about halfway through the year, I put this on. This is a to velvet midsize grip, just slightly thicker. Sometimes again when I’m swinging it, not great. My hands get involved, end up turning it too far left. The midsize grip definitely helped. I might even potentially go a bit thicker in the next few months. Like I said, I’ve loved this driver. I did experiment with a few Jakora Ventus shaft for a little bit when I was swinging really, really fast. And I’d like to get back to there. I want to I want to take my journey with my driver back to 140, 115 miles per hour, club head speed, then get my ball speed over 170 mph. That’s the goal. So again, I’ve been playing so many longer golf courses this year. I need distance. like it’s evident I need to hit the ball further. Next club and I must admit this might be my favorite club in my bag and I’ve got to give credit to Australian Ben who works for the team. Everyone knew I used old Bluey for a long long time. My old Cobra F7 3 at the start of this year I was like no I can’t use it anymore. I need new 3-wood. Ben forced me to first off test out the Callaway Elite 3-wood. I didn’t love the fact it had a shiny crown, but apart from that, I loved it. Then this came out, the Elite Titanium. This is a 3-wood 15° and it just looks so good. I love how slim profile it is. And this time it’s got a matte carbon crown. Ben forced this club into my hands and I thought, making my this other 3-wood so good, I don’t want to change it. It’s one of the best things I’ve done. This 3-wood has honestly been a secret weapon for me this year. I’ve absolutely loved hitting it. I’ve got this in a tensai black 75 Xflex shaft. I’ve actually just got this in a normal tour velvet. Again, my experiment and going thicker in the handle, but I have absolutely loved this Callaway Elite Titanium 3. Now, this section of the bag is quite interesting. the gap between my 3-wood and my longest regular iron, which is my four iron. This bit might need looking at because I’ve noticed again on trend, certainly out on tour when I’m playing golf with a lot of these professional golfers now, is there a lot more people are carrying five woods, seven woods, nine woods. They are so much more popular now. I’m still using, and it’s quite a rare sight now. I’m still using what would be classed as a driving iron. However, I bloody love this club. Like, I absolutely love it. This is my tight list U500 3ir. It’s a strong, lofty three iron. It’s got a big chunky head on it. Steel shaft. This is a Project X 6.5 shaft. Lampin. Again, slightly thicker grip. I think this is something I need to uniform through my set. I’ve got lots of different grips going on at the moment. But this if if you told me right now, Rick, tear the ball up on this par four or par five and you have to hit the fairway for a million pounds, this is the club I would choose. I just absolutely love this club. It doesn’t seem to hit me that many horrendous ones. If it’s bad, it’s slightly right, slightly left, but not horrendous. But overall, this is a phenomenal club. And to be honest, personally for me, I can hit it low, I can hit it high. I can do lots of different things with it. If I’m going to change it to a three, fivewood or a sevenwood, it needs to be something spectacular because I could see me using this until the head falls off. Okay, irons. Now, I carry currently four down to pitching wedge in these beauties, the Tailor Made P7CBs, the cavity back tailorade irons. And I I must admit, you know, I’m really starting to love the fact they’re starting to look absolutely battered. Like they’ve got dents, they’ve got chips, they’ve got wears, they’ve got actual I must be hitting a lot more golf balls than normal. They’ve actually starting to see a bit of a wear pattern on the face. These irons since I’ve put them in the bag, go I don’t even know how long ago now. Must be over a year ago, have I can’t fault them. I absolutely cannot fault them. for me, the the flight I get from them, the distance control I get from them, the spin rate, the feel, the sound, um the forgiveness level. Listen, I still hit bad iron shots. Of course, I do. But that’s more I feel like whenever I hit a bad iron shot, I don’t blame the irons. I blame me. Like, it’s I’ve hit a bad iron shot. It’s not the club that’s caused that to happen. I love the fact they’re forged. They’ve got that really nice soft feel. These are a dynamic gold X100 to issue shafts, regular length. And then I’ve got the standard Z grip on the Golf Prize standard. Again, like I’ve I’ve just pulled four clubs out my bag. And all four of them have got different uh grips on them. I definitely need to work on that. Um really love these clubs. Uh really love the longer irons, the four iron, six iron has been a a for some reason a real favorite club in my bag at the moment. There’s some scar tissue on the bottom of this club as well. This is when I had a little mess around with Ian Palter in Orlando. I’ve got some really bad dents from some shots I was trying trying to hit out the trees every time. It’s actually scary how but I love I really really like them. I think they’re just incredible clubs. Again, four iron down to pitching wedge, not too strong lofted. Really just perfect for me. Okay. And then halfway through the year, I put some new wedges in the bag. Um, I’d currently been using the MG4s from Tailor Made. Um, I was like, they’re all right, but I feel like I need something new. So, just sporadically, to be honest with you, I didn’t really have much rhyme and reason for this. Just fancied a bit of a change. I put these in the Titless Voki SM10 wedges. So, I’ve got a 50°. This is an 8° bounce F grind. So, it’s like a full grind. That’s my gap wedge. got a 56° in 8°ree bounce M grind which stands for manipulation. So the way that this grind is on the bottom, you can open it up. You can do a lot of more kind of bespoke things with that grind. And I’ve also got the M grind. This is a 8° bounce as well in the 60° lob wedge. I like the fact they’re not fullon glare like as in chrome. Sorry. So like kind of this brushed finish. Again, I’ve been playing lucky enough to play a lot more golf in the sun this year. Certainly if you have a lob wedge and you open it up and you’ve got a real shiny club face that you know what that might have been the reason why I switched out from those tailormaids albe it was a rusty face the toe and the heel were very shiny where these are a lot more kind of matte finish across the the head shaft wise I’ve got these in a standard SM10 wedge flex again standard tightless 360 grips again another different grip in the arsenal of grips that I currently carry in my bag and I feel like My wedge game has really turned the corner this year. Is it great yet? No. Is it terrible anymore? No. It’s kind of on the trend, on the upward trend, which is really good. I’ve chipped in a few times. I’ve hit some wonderful wedge shots. I feel like my bunker play is getting better. I’m a lot more confident with my wedge play, which is great. And these these have definitely helped with that confidence as well. So 50 56 60 60° that is my full woods and irons and wedges and then we start to move into some more special areas. But before we come on to that, I can’t forget this club. If my clubs got pinched this year, if they vanished or they didn’t get on a flight or whatever, I’d have been devastated if I’d have lost this. Everything else I feel like I could have replaced. This is very special. Again, underneath very cool RS head cover which says B phenomenal on it can get it from richills.com this putter I mean me and me and the story of this putter if you remember I went for a putter fitting at um the university university of where ping put on this really fancy or what was deemed to be really fancy putter fitting it cost a lot a lot of money and I was open with you guys when I got this putter fitting I wasn’t impressed it was fairly basic if I’m honest with you. But the putter I got fitted for was this this PLLD. So it’s a limited edition putter uh in this kind of fang shape. Uh simple white dot on top as an alignment tool in the blacked out finish. Milled face. Has a really cool RS logo stamped to the bottom. A thicker grip. This is the PP62 grip. Just beautiful looking putter. And when it arrived I was like, “Okay, I’ll give it a bit of a test. Why not?” You know, I’ve been through this fancy putter fitting. It’s worthwhile sticking in the bag and seeing what’s happened. I don’t ever want this to leave the bag. In fact, I’ve actually got a replacement for this. But I feel like this particular putter is special in its own right. I have hold more iconic putts with this putter in the last year and a half than I have with any other putter I’ve ever had on the channel. That is for a fact. I’ve I’ve hauled some monster puts with this putter. Love it. Um, little flex. I’ve got an umbrella in case I need it. It’s a master’s umbrella. It’s pretty cool. I’ve had a debate with some of the guys in the team. I have my umbrella in the bag and they said it should be in the umbrella holder. I prefer it in the bag, but that’s just me. This is a little tool I’ve been using over the last maybe month or so. If you’ve seen these, a lot of um guys are using these. Professional golfers are using these. This is called the Stack. It’s a swing speed training device. And you in this little box you get these discs and they’re all different weights. 100 g, um 75, 50, 45, and a 20. And you’re basically using it with this app on your phone and also you use this little gizmo. So this is a little swing radar, which again, by the way, I’m very, very impressed with. This is not a sponsored post. As you know, none of this is sponsored. I’m totally independent when it comes to golf equipment. Hence why I’ve got Tailor Made, Callaway, Ping, Voke. Like, I’ve got such a mixture of clubs in my bag. I’m not sponsored by any of these brands at all. And I’m not sponsored by this brand either, but this is a really, really cool device. the stack. I have already seen swing speed increases of 1 or 2 miles per hour and I’ve not really even started yet. I’m going to pick up about five or six miles per hour club head speed with these devices this winter. Guaranteed. I know I will. I’ve got a brand new rangefinder. This is a brand new Bushnull uh Pro X3 Link. Very, very nice. Uh golf ball wise, I use uh the brand new uh Tight List Prov V1 for alignment. Draw a really, really, really thin line to help with alignment. So again, these are really cool little things you can get. I’m sure you’ve probably seen them before, but they help draw lines on your golf ball with a nice little Sharpie. I typically go for a black line. Looks nice and clean. This is my pitchfork. So this is when I got this from when I played Augusta. I know. A little flex. Uh, I’ll tell you what I did get actually when I was in America recently. I actually bought some Prov1s with different numbers on. I bought some with number seven on and number 70. Thought it look quite cool. Sun cream plasters. Uh, this is actually quite a cool little gizmo. This is a grip cleaner. You wet it and then just realized that might be me’d. Um, so grip cleaner, little groove cleaner. Uh, that’s pretty much it. Towel. I’ve got an air tag in case my bag gets lost. Very important to have an air tag in your bag. Got a this vessel bag as well, which I love. Love the vessel bags. This is pretty much my full in-depth what’s in the bag. Things tonight might change. Driver setup might change. And that might be it, guys. Thanks for watching. Stay tuned. Lots more to come. Loads of reviews coming here on the Hit Channel. And uh that is pretty much everything that I carry in my bag that’s helped me play much better this year. Much much better.

  1. the only club that i've not had since my childhood is the u510 – rick is right, it's likely the best "driving iron" series out there

  2. No offence Rick but you are looking old and tired mate. Get rid of the beard and the bags under the eyes M8. ☘️

  3. I would recommend trying the Tour Velvet Mid-Size Plus 4 grip. I have been using them a couple years now and having a little extra size i. the lower hand as well as the top hand feels so comfortable and takes a lot longer of tension out for me.

  4. With as much as you liked the cobra f7 3 wood, I'm suprised you didn't go with another cobra 3 wood.

  5. Playing some great golf; good to see your game going in the right direction over this past year.

The G425 was your best driver. 😉

  6. Skinny Rick! Bag looks good, change those grips! You and Guy vs Golf Life scramble needs to happen followed by You vs Jimmy

  7. For years I went back and forth between standard and midsize grips until I tried Golf pride tour velvet plus 4 standard. Great feel of the tour velvet with just a thicker lower hand and less taper. Been using the same grip for 3 seasons now and don’t plan on ever changing

  8. Rick because your primary miss is left you need to go to a midsize grip. If you like the tour velvet go with the tour velvet plus 4. Less taper is going to keep your hands from turning over too fast.

  9. I had a couple Srixon fairway woods that were straight up hook sticks, I replaced them with a Callaway Mavrick and Epic and it has been a pleasure to hit clubs that I used to dread

  10. What we reeeeealy want to know Ricky… Where do we get Pro V1 toothpaste so we too can have grade A Pearly whites 😬😁🦷💎👌👌 You've not been to Turkey have you 🤔💚⛳🏌️💨

  11. Rick you should try out doing a few tape wraps under your grips. I did 4 tape wraps under a standard grip for my 5 wood and it feels just like the jumbos on the rest of my clubs, except a little softer.
