HICKORY, N.C. – The Hanley Painter Memorial Golf Tournament is set to kick off Homecoming Weekend on Friday, October 17th. This event, along with the Silent Auction, combine to be the single biggest annual scholarship fundraiser for the Bears Club. This year’s Silent Auction will run from October 9th-19th and includes incredible items such as mountain house getaways, sports memorabilia, one-of-a-kind experiences, and more!
The Golf Tournament will be played at Lake Hickory Country Club with tee times at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Those who wish to get involved can sign up as individual participants, foursomes, or as sponsors through their company. To sign up, click HERE.
This year’s tournament will include skill awards and three flights determined by the total age of the group (Flight 1 – 160 and below, Flight 2 -161-259, Flight 3-260 and above).
“We encourage Bear Nation to get involved in this exceptional and stellar event,” added Bears Club Director Juju Phillips. “There is not a charity golf tournament around here with its history and importance for the Bears Club’s annual scholarship fundraising campaign.”
