I want to show you something. Too many people get caught up in the idea of sway and I want to talk about lateral movement because we need it in our golf swing. If we look at Harris English here on the way back, his center of pelvis from his starting position will move to his right maybe an inch and then it might recenter itself by the time it gets all the way up top. On the down swing though, this is the key. You have to move to your left in the down swing. Whether that’s three inches, 4 in, or five inches from your starting point, you have to have lateral movement. If you don’t, you’re making it much harder on yourself. So, we can see he moved to his left. You can clearly see that green line represented the center of his pelvis at a dress. He has moved to his left. How much? Let’s call it four to five in, right? We see the best players in the world, they’re moving this much from their starting position. And then when he’s done, watch how his entire body is forward to that green line. That is the proper lateral movement. If you like this video, be sure to follow for more golf tips.
