INDEPENDENCE, Minn. – Little Rock men’s golf closed out the 2nd Swing Gopher Invitational with a strong final round Monday, placing two Trojans inside the top 20 while climbing four spots on the team leaderboard.
Ed Featherstone paced the team with a three-under-par round to finish tied for 15th overall. Teammate Rhett South wasn’t far behind, posting a one-under finish on the day to secure a tie for 20th place.
The duo’s efforts fueled a late surge that lifted Little Rock to an eighth-place team finish, improving from 12th after the first two rounds.
Viggo Talasmaki and Mark Stockdale rounded out the scoring for the Trojans, each tying for 50th.
Little Rock returns to action Sept. 15-16 at the Bearcat Invitational.
