CHOUDRANT, La. – The University of Memphis men’s golf team moved up in the team standings following round two of the Argent Financial Classic. While the team is in a tie for fourth place, Yixiang Wang moved up to a tie for fourth place.
Finishing the day at nine under par, the Tigers had another impressive showing with 15 combined birdies as well as an eagle on hole two from Christian Morneau. Wang, who shot four under par today, goes into tomorrow’s final round at six under. Morneau and Cian O’Connor both are not too far behind Wang at two under par at in a tie for 24th place.
Tobey Kim and Diego Lourenco round out the team at three and four over par, respectively. Round three will begin for Memphis at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. Live results can be found HERE.
