The Nexus Cup, hosted by Tiger Woods, begins Monday at Liberty National Golf Club in New York. The timing naturally draws the attention of all fans, as it could be the opportunity to see the 15-time major champion swinging a club again, after an injury sidelined him from the courses six months ago.
As noted by the X TWLEGION account (@TWlegion), Woods routinely conducts a golf clinic for Nexus Cup participants, which could put a club in his hands again for a public appearance.
However, it has not yet been confirmed whether the same will be done for this year’s edition.

As you may recall, Woods suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon last March, which forced him to undergo emergency surgery and suspend his competitive season. Until then, he had only played in the TGL this year.
Recently, Woods has made a few appearances at golf courses, primarily following his son Charlie during his participation in tournaments. On those occasions, he has appeared to be in good physical condition.
Woods hasn’t played green-grass competitive golf since the the PNC Championship last December. There, the 82-time PGA Tour winner competed alongside Charlie and finished second after losing in a playoff to Bernhard Langer and his son Jason.
Woods’ last official start was in July of last year, when he missed the cut at the Open Championship.
