is knocking on the door of win number four in her incredible rookie campaign. It’s a Spanish one two though. Nuria, the closest challenger to the overnight leader, Carlotta Saganda. A winner already this year on the LPGA Tour and a Birdie Bonanza on day two has left the Spaniard as the one to catch. Saganda with a one-shot lead overnight, but it’s wide open with 19 players starting the day, separated by just five shots. What a warm Texas. Welcome to y’all. The third and final day of the Aramco Houston Championship, the fourth stop of five on the PIF Global Series. Well, we’ve crowned the team champions. Now, it’s who can claim the individual trophy here. and with it a first prize of close to a quarter of a million dollars. The Ladies European tour in the United States for the fifth year in a row were at Golf Crest Country Club in Pland just south of downtown Houston. Redesigned by fame course architect Joe Finger. It’s treelined as you can see. Lots of water in play at Par 72 to play today just under 6,600 yd. The weather, well, we had a lot of heavy rain when play finished yesterday evening. That softened the course a little bit. There could be some rain this afternoon. It is overcast right now, but that has helped cool it down a little bit. We’ll be hearing from Amy Balden and Sophie Walker on the course as well as Gabby Pington. I’m Richard Kaufman alongside me, Kate Burton. Kate, who do you think the biggest danger to Carlo Saganda’s potential win today is? Well, there’s 11 players within four shots of her lead at 10 under parath. You got some big hitters in the likes of Paulolly Mack and some young pretenders. Nastasia Nadau, she’s also playing very well. And the more they play the course, the better they’re getting. There were some great scores yesterday from these players, 6768. And I feel on Sunday, it’s going to be a shootout. Now remember, it’s a 54hole tournament. All eyes are on Saganda, one of the most experienced players out there. But we got Charlie Hull in the mix. We’ve got Perne Bus and Pauline Bousard. So here are some highlights, and there’s been plenty so far. Yeah, we’ll start with Nastasia Nadau. Birdie the first and that was her eagle try at the second. So second birdie of the day she moves from six to eight under par and then Pauly Mack well opened with a birdie for Pauly Mack the German player that moved her to seven under and then made a lovely birdie. This was at the third and that was actually a pass save at the fourth. So she’s had two birdies early on moved to eight under and she’s looking rather good as well. Big charge in the final round from Pauline Rousan Bousard. No birdie there at the first. That was her 10th hole of the day, but five birdies on the front nine. She’s moved from three to eight under. And a recent winner on the LPGA tour, Siganda, the leader going into this final round. This was her eagle attempt at the first hole. Well, that didn’t go in, but it was an easy birdie for the Spaniard to maintain her lead. Yeah, she moved to 11 under FL playing with Nur Turios who par the first two. This was her eagle try from just off the green putter in hand at the par 5/3. So a couple of par fives in the first three holes. She knocked that one back in to get herself to 10 under par. So Saganda leading by one still from Nuri Aturios. But look who has moved into third place. Charlie Hull with birdies at 1, two, and three. We saw that birdie from Nastasia Nadau. She’s added another one at the par three fifth hole. So she’s also moved to nine under part. So three French players there on that leaderboard side by side. Pin delicor with a couple of early birdies too. Selene Boutique like Charlie Hull did birdie the first three holes but she has given two back since then. Trish Chinlab the number one player on the ED in 2023 at six under as is the number one player from 2024. Kiara Tambellini who will be on home saw next week at the Swiss Ladies Open. Money Her playing alongside Pollin Rousan Bush the Chinese player just outside the top 20 as is the only harm who was a runner up on her last start at the Hills Open just a couple of weeks ago. Good to see Danielle Kang there on that third page of the leaderboard as well. Some decent crowds here enjoying the action. We’re going to pop off to that final group. Carlotta Saganda playing with Mimi Roads and Nuria and they are going to be watched this afternoon by Sophie Walker. Afternoon Sophie. Afternoon Richard and Kate. It is it’s overcast. You can’t see any blue sky. We’ve got a northeasterly wind. It’s the strongest wind we’ve had and uh it’s rather cool. It’s pleasant conditions here as we watch Mimi Roads with a uphill relatively straight Birdie put. Itus has just come up shy. Looking for the first birdie of the day, isn’t she Sophie for Mimi Roads? Going to need them. Yeah, you’re right, Kate. I think I think the front nine. Look at trying making some birdies on the the par five, but especially with this, I would say it’s at least a club and a half out here. It’s not it’s not the easiest of nines. I think the scoring certainly comes on that back nine and especially that 14th hole the par five that’s produced some eagles interesting there sorry if you was going to say Mimi actually walking off she’s not bothering to watch this part from Carla Saganda she’s made her way already to the next two yeah they’re behind could hold behind so are they on the clock already between the Nose final two groups were miles behind Charlie Hall’s group. Um, I think they’re trying to get the doe’s group moving and then they’ll come back for these so she knows she has to hit it. This for a two-shot lead for Saganda. Well, it was right on target, wasn’t it, from Saganda. The lead remains one. Well, Pauling Rousan Bard this for a birdie at the third hole. Oh, just grazes past the right hand side, but looking rather good. Rousan, let me say started at the 10th hole and uh went out and collected five birdies early on in the round. So, it’s five under path for the round today. That’s why she is eight under and only trails by three. But certainly the back n is slightly easier than the front and this is where she finds herself now. Yeah. Players had great success in these PIF Global Series events in the US. Been the winning captain on a couple of occasions. She uh won in Singapore as well. Probably too far back to challenge, but the birdies so far have dried up on the front nine, but would love to post the target. the lone style state of Texas hosting us on the ladies European tour for the very first time. This is the penultimate three ball. April and Gurusani here at the sixth hole. Tough hole this one, Kate. Yeah, there are a few on the front nine, but uh an inform player looking to go for the double was part of the winning team yesterday, April. So this now the second shot slightly elevated green. 19 paces on for the pin. Needs to hurry. That needs to travel. A ways to go still for a birdie attempt in the penultimate group. So started the day on seven under par. Yeah, this fourth hole. Big dog leg and even from these really good T-shots still quite a long way in. Christina Napolea with her second into this hole. [Music] Nice drive from Christina. full of emotion. She is great player on tour. Just needs that to not roll out. But it’s a huge day for her. Absolutely massive. 121st on the order. She made double bogey at the fourth, but did just bounce back with a two at the par 3 fifth. And that’s where we’re heading now. [Music] Attorios with a nine 145 yds downwind from the left in on that right hand side. Oh, cracking shot. Very nice indeed. So, two Spaniards in this group, Sophie. Quite different characters, aren’t they? Colorado Saganda Nurio Turios I would say on the golf course. Yeah, you’d want to go on a night out with both of them though. I was saying they’re they’re up late though. Kate be late. I’ve been out with Colott. She don’t come out to the bar till 1:00. I’m ready to go at that point. But yeah, on the golf course I would say Colott is a lot more quieter even the way she talks. And Nura is well like her mother said, she’s got a great smile so why not use it? So slightly different demeanor. Carot will be stuck in between clubs here. Will she go big wedge or smooth the nine iron? Oh, she liked it and for very good reason. That was all over the flag. That would have looked tremendous from her stance. Well, Mimi Roads will be glad of the the cooler weather. She’s been saying how she’s been struggling with blisters this week and yesterday I was out with her. She had a a separate towel to try and dry the sweat off her hands. She clearly struggles in the heat, but it’s a lot cooler today. Wind freshening up. It’s kind of moved more from left to right now on her. That flag 14 on, five from the right. So 145 yds. Wants to start it at the bunker on the back of the green and let the wind hit it. Well, she’s had a couple of hole in ones already this season has Mimi Roads. And for a moment I thought there was going to be a third right at it from the English player. famously have one at the Women’s Open a few weeks ago that went absolutely viral when she uh got it via the ball of Steph Kiryaku. Well, now to the young 20-year-old Nastasia Nadau. What an exciting, dazzling prospect she is from France. Hits it a long way. Lovely swing. Look at that way she holds that pose, that follow through. Beautiful result as well. So Nadau is only two back, three birdies so far from her. Cassandra Alexander T-shot at the par 38 South African having a super season one under for the day. So six under overall at the moment. That’s five back of Carlotta Saganda who maintains her one-shot lead overnight. But looking at our leaderboard, it it’s fair to say there are a lot of birdies and potentially eagles to have on the back nine. This is the Charlie Hall group and Amy Balden’s going to be watching that one. I am. Good afternoon, Richard and Kate. Well, probably Mike hit it in the trees off the tea here. So, she’s just hit it managed to hit it up short of the green and play a lovely little chip. as did Pin Delicor. She also missed the green. So, they both got short par puts to come. Going along, isn’t she Amy? I mean, she’s hitting more fairways as the day goes on. She is. Yeah. I mean, she takes the tiger lines off a lot of these tea boxes. There’s a lot of dog legs out here. So, plays to her advantage while she can cut the corner. What about Charlie though, Amy? Because it was a wonderful start with those three birdies. Just the foundation to this final round that she needs. And we all know that she’s not one to back off. She’s not. And she’s given herself a couple of opportunities over the last couple of holes as well. She missed a short putt on six. She’s got another opportunity here now on seven. So, she’s giving herself the chances that she needs on this final round. It’s still the same pre-shot routine that she’s always had on the greens. Plum bobbing getting right down. Made a number of these puts before in her past, hasn’t she? Good opportunity here for Charlie. Yeah, there’s not too much movement in this part. It’s up the hill. Bold, aggressive. You wouldn’t expect anything else from Charlie Hull. didn’t drop this time, but she’s got herself right in the picture, just two back of her Soheim Cup teammate, Carlotta Zaganda. And here is the leader who has a good birdie look herself here. Oh, that pitch mark was close, wasn’t it, Zaganda? She kind of gave me a smile. So, that was all right, wasn’t it? Putting has not been her forte this year. Last time we saw her at Centurion in London, she’s gone back to conventional style, the putting green earlier today, she had the the pencil grip on her put in, but this week’s been good for Colott. 30 puts on the first day, 25 on the second day. It’s actually been the strength of her game this week in Houston. It’s interesting. She took that about um getting some advice from Tommy Fleetwood on that putting that pencil grip, didn’t she, Sophie? Yeah, a good few years ago. But look, now she’s gone left. Now she’s left and right. So this just shows there’s three different putting grips in the last few weeks. Downhill, left to right for Carla. Again, left it in the jaws just as she did on the previous hole. She’s reading the lines really well, but just lacking a bit of pace there. Sophie, we know she’s sometimes seems vulnerable when she’s leading like this and she can slow up and get a little nervy and edgy. Yeah, I mean openly admits that herself as well. Sometimes she she fights to actually step into a shot a little bit like Keegan Bradley. It’s been okay today so far. She she’s with quite a slow group. Mimi Roads is predictable at sorry kind of quite slow as well and but yeah I think Carlos has actively tried to to be more positive in her decision making and get over it quicker and hit it on exactly the same line this one here for roads. It’s down the hill from left to right. Keep it just outside the hole. That’s a quick part and it’s very very good though from Mimi Roads and what a timely birdie to have. Yeah, first of the day moves to nine under. So back within two shot kind of deserved it, didn’t it? Really threatened a one. Got a two. All good. Excellent shot in from Nastasia Nadau. This now for a birdie. this at the sixth. Oh, lovely. That would have been back to back birdies. There’s been three on the scorecard already from Nastasia. So, going about her business the right way. Only two back also for a two at this fifth hole for this one outside right. Well, that means we have two Spaniards sharing the lead. One from Navares and one from Morca. Carto Saganda has company from Nura Iturios. Well, that’s what they’re playing for along with close to a quarter of a million dollars. But there are some players on the other side of the course. You see the asterisk next to the names of Rousan Bousard, Finale, and Shannon Tan. Shannon Tan has just gone eagle and followed it with three birdies in a row. And Alisandra Finalei has had two eagles on the day. She eagled both the 14th and just now she’s bird eagled the first as well. Folly Mack and Seline Bouty amongst those only four back as well. [Music] Yeah. So given what we’re seeing from the likes of Rousan Bousard, Finale, and Tan today, there looks like there’s plenty of shots that can be made up on the back nine. This is at the eighth. Cassandra Alexander [Music] up and out of it early. Knew the line was a right. Well, Greens are rolling well this week. They are very nice. 11 and a half on the stimp. Don’t want to get them much faster than that. Hang on. Well, Shannon Tan, as you said, Richard’s playing brilliant golf, but it’s going to weave a bit of magic here for the Singaporean on 18. Oh, and she has yet again. Shannon Dan on fire. Well, she’s a player who’s third on the order of merit, a winner this year in Germany. This is some charge she has made. It was a fine start as well from Selen Boutier, but the handbrekes come on over the last half an hour, 45 minutes just to try and get back on the birdie trail or just slides right. Three birdies to start and then a couple of bogeies since then for Boutier. One under today. So she’s seven under trailing and Saganda by four now. The cream is rising. It’s the players that are the very best. You do find them on the front page of the leaderboard come Sunday afternoon. The likes of Saganda, Hull, Mimi Roads, Rousan Bousard. All quality players on the ladies European tour. Well, a couple of birdies at the fifth from the final group. Off to the sixth now. Place the hardest hole on the golf course. Harsh dog leg from right to left around the water. There’s a blue box in the distance which is the players line. Wind into from the right. The run out on that is 280. Mimi Roads has found the fairway down the right hand side. She’s more towards the dog leg, so played it slightly safer. Notorious has Sophie updating us on the other two as we watch Charlie Hull here. Oh, that was a little bit of luck for the world number 10. Cleared the bunker by a matter of inches. Need a little bit of luck along the way. Great to see Charlie back. Two weeks without even lifting a golf club. She was itching to get going again. Ankle ligament damage. She was told she’d be out for nine weeks, but Charlie being Charlie, she was back after four. Won’t be much club in hand for Paulie Mack. 180 yards today. Super shot. That is great when you’ve got that distance. She can only need maybe a sixiron for a player like Polymat. Maybe even a seven. And you got that height and then it lands softly next to the pin. Well, we’ve heard from our encourse commentators. We haven’t heard yet from Gabby Partington who has caught up with the charging Charlie Hall. Right, Charlie, we spoken before. You’re more of an autumn go, aren’t you? So, this is a bit more what we’re used to, isn’t it? Better than the heat. Yeah, it is. I’m not a big fan of the heat. Like, I like sunbathing and stuff, but not really to play golf. Well, this is your first tournament back since injury, isn’t it? And I believe you’ve actually h haveved the recovery time, didn’t you? It should have been what was it nine weeks but you harved it to four? Yeah, six to nine weeks and a kind of like but I healed pretty good so yeah. How did you do that and what terms of recovery and things you did you do? Uh just loaded like ankle rehab. I wore my boot call it moon boot for like two weeks. I was bored at my nut but it was all right. It suited you but the the basically the record for away from golf before this was eight days and this time it was 13. How on earth did you cope girl? I just I’m a bit of a clean freak so I just done loads and loads and loads and loads of cleaning. Yeah, I know you love your running and your fitness and so do I fitness freaks. But um how did you cope in not in terms of not being able to run? It was pretty miserable, but at the end of the day like it it was it is what it is. Do you know what I mean? I just deal with it. So it wasn’t too bad cleaning, but you also added to your recovery center. You’ve got a pilatees remember former patees. So tell us a little bit about that. I haven’t used it yet, but I bought the table. So when I’m back home, I’m going to start doing loads of that kind of stuff. Can I come? Yeah, of course you can. You need some down the road for me. See you there. in the US been the she couldn’t say no really could she to Gabby there I mean her house must be fascinating the facilities that she’s got there proper playhouse fantastic well Sophie was trying to tell us where the other two T-shots went down at six we’re looking at Nura it right now Sophie yeah not good news for it fans she caught it out the heel and hit it in the water off the tea so she is dropped there she is playing her third. And as you can see, it’s not that inviting either. So, she has got 200 yards to that pin. I mean, to carry the water shouldn’t be an issue. That’s kind of only 160 for the carry. It’s more nerving with that T-shot, especially with so many dog legs that she’s going to have to face coming up now. So, wind is helping. It’s just an iron pin middle left of the green. But this is her third. She won’t have played from here before, that’s for sure. She’s looking at the club as if uh wasn’t quite the contact she’s looking for, but it’s okay. Just as she catches Carla Saganda, a big error from the fourtime Ladies European tour winner. So looks likely to drop a shot for a Turios gets done in two. That will be a bogey. Still a long way in for roads. 179 playing 170 with the slight help. 6 iron. Another excellent shot from the number one player on the ladies European tour. Her three wins this year have all come from either leading or sharing the league going to the final day. So trying to provide a new experience for herself. She had plenty in her rookie year hasn’t she? This player not a rookie Sophie 35 years old now. Yeah. has been good for a long long time as Carlotta Zaganda the Solheim Cup hero. How many times Mimi Rhodess has watched Carlott on the TV screen or when she would be playing Junior Soline Cups and now playing alongside her in between clubs here. She’s got 165 as I mentioned it’s slightly downwind. 65 is normally the stock 79, but it looks like she might have changed to an eight. Still one of the best ball strikers on tour. It’s pretty good from Saganda. What a performance though from Shannon Tan so far. Made a real charge in this second day. Six under for the round. This to go to seven under. What a birdie that would have been coming out of the trees after carving it right off the tea. She saw the gap. Still a very very good back nine and she started on the 10th today. Have a look at that. 30 an unassuming star of the ladies European tour. Back to the par 38 Charlie Hull. Little bit of a wide, but pace was good. Will be a three. This is Sarah Kuska. Not had a good day. She’s playing with Shannon Tan and she started 66 to her round. Maybe a little hangover after I not saying literally, but a little hangover of what happened yesterday where Sara played a big role as the winning team captain, claiming the first of the prizes up for grab this week at the Aramco Houston Championship. [Music] [Applause] [Music] What a big part now for team Kuskava as this is a part to take a share of the lead. Oh, and no problems there from April Angoras. Kuska looking to make some progress and Sophie Kibscore Nielson rolls in a birdie to get to two under par. [Music] Oh, beautiful birdie at 12. She’s having a really good day. Got a chance. Got a great chance. It’s in. What a moment for April Angurasani. And suddenly team Kuska are in the driving seat. Our winning team, team Kusta with the 2025 trophy here in Houston. Congratulations. [Music] Yeah, congratulations indeed to Sarah Kusk and her teammates April and Guserani, Anna Bellat and Sophie Kibs Gore Nielson winning by one. Team roads had set the pace at 31 under park. Team Kuska finished at 32 under. There were still a few holes to play for team Boutier who needed a birdie between them down the last to try and match team Kuska and force a playoff but they couldn’t do that. So team Kuska taking the crown. Sara leading her team to victory at the Aramco career championship too. So that’s two team trophy winning captaincies for her along with her two individual victories this season for a player who went to college here in Texas. A tap in for Charlie to remain two back. She’ll enjoy being in this position, won’t she, Kate? She’s got lots of experience. Yep. She has no fear, Charlie. She’s only got eyes on the prize. She knows Carlotta’s game very well. She won’t be phased by the leaderboard, and she’ll just treat it as a huge opportunity. Well, about damage limitation though for Nuria. Superb lag put by Itas. So she is hopefully going to tap in for her bogey. This for birdie though for Zigander from left to right. Yeah, an opening birdie. That was a two-part birdie for Carlotta Sagando. Pars since then. But Sophie, this is a you know it is a golf course which has yielded a lot of birdies in Eagle 64 yesterday from Carlotta. But this is kind of the the tricky stretch of the course. Would you say it is? We’ve been speaking to a few of the members that have these beautiful homes around this golf course and they kind of say 6 to8 is where you you hang on to your score especially with some freshening winds and the six holders played the hardest all week. Um so that’s kind of a good par you would say there for Carlotta especially with the touri. She’s going to drop one roads. This one won’t break quite as much, but it will just peel from left to right on her. The back to back bird is [Music] well putting is part of the game which she feels is her weakness. Mimi Roads, her coach in the UK, Lawrence Farmer, doesn’t let her go onto the driving range before she’s done two hours of putting practice every day. It’s how you get better. Expensive hole this one though for Nurio Torios. Can’t believe that Nuria Turios would spend two hours putting. It doesn’t sit well with her character. She had to change things up. But this is going to be a bogey part after venturing into the water. And that’s not a bad bogey from the T-shot indeed. But she is heading in the wrong direction. Only back to 10 under losing that share of the lead. Interesting, isn’t it? What makes people play their best and different approaches that they have, different players. Some stay on the range for ages, others it doesn’t suit their game. Some go for 30 km runs. Pauling Bush has done that this year. And she’s on the run here. Although the birdies have dried at all so far on this front nine. She might have gone for a 30k run this morning, it wouldn’t surprise us. A 10k run would certainly be expected. Yeah, between her and Annabelle Fuller, two of the fittest players on tour. Regularly get involved in high rocks competitions. Yeah, if you had to go on the social media channels this week, you’ll see they had a a little bit of a race out on the golf course as well. Good fun that. And Pauling Rousan Bousard going along nicely today on the other side of the course as are Aleandra Finale. He’s had a couple of eagles and Shannon Tan who turned in 30 Boutier on the fringes at the moment but all these players at seven under and better are within four of Saganda at the top. There is Annabelle Fuller who you mentioned six under part and Vanam made a great charge on the last day in London. Currently in that tie for 20th including Mann and Doy finished top five a couple of weeks ago on the LPGA tour. [Music] [Music] 396 y par four into the wind. Slight movement from left to right. Driver for roads. Well, the rough isn’t too penal around this golf course. It’s the trees that you have to watch out for. Need to work the ball left and right. And that’s what Saganda can certainly do. It’s interesting coming into this week though after her win in June on the LPGA tour. Hasn’t come in in good form. really has come in with low expectations. Has missed a few cuts, four cuts since then, 11th place in London. Certainly finding form today. It’s just the wrong time to not be in form as a European as well, isn’t it Kate? Like Charlie was injured th those months, those summer months in Europe, your eyeing when in Evian the open and then you’re not in form. It hits a draw, so she’ll start it at the trees and try and work it off them. Yeah, that’s Gander. Always wanted to be on form in a ride in a Soulheim Cup year and that of course is next year. Getting a bit excited. Rider Cups in a couple of weeks. Better drive from Aurios. Yeah, we’re just south of downtown Houston. We’re in Pland. That’s uh the name of the uh the city. So are there lots of pear trees out here? Not anymore. It was originally called Pearland. So back in the 19th century before the days of oil in Texas, this was an agricultural community and uh it got named pearand by a a Polish immigrant that had come over. So all the pear trees. This is at the par 49. Luna Subbron Galves. Just the one birdie so far today that came at the previous hole, the par 38. So she’s picked up one shot, got herself to seven underpar. One of now three Spaniards in the mix. That’s a disappointing miss. So after your first birdie of the day, your first bogey, so hadn’t level part. Luna, who’s had so many top 10, top 25s on the tour the last couple of years, unable to get over the finishing line, finished second to one of her playing partners just a few months ago. Cassandra Alexander in the Czech Ladies Open. Well, Charlie Hull’s hit it down the left hand side of number nine. Pin’s all the way at the back of the green here. She left herself with 193 yards to the pin. It’s only 155 to the front, but she’s got these trees in front of her that she has to contend with. This one needs to come up high quickly. Can’t imagine this is any more than eight. Needs to get the height. Oh gosh. Just caught a tree by the sounds of it. Amy, where’s it gone to? That’s not bad. Yeah, that’s come up around 40 yard short in the left rough. I I think she tried to take that on a little bit too much. I went to have a look at it and and it looked to me that I thought she was going to be wedging it out to be honest. She’s had a couple of breaks, I have to say. She cleared the bunker at eight by a matter of inches. She’s caught the tree that could have gone anywhere there, but it’s safe and uh gives her an opportunity still of making par. Well, she’s got green to work with. That’s one consolation because she’s going to be hitting that out of the rough. So won’t be able to get any spin on the ball. Delicor from 165 yards into a little bit of breeze. Six iron trying to get it all the way back to this back pin. Not happy that with that one. The South African Women’s Open champion won the last two years on tour as the French woman. So, another one with a bit of tree trouble. Mimi Roads. Yeah, with the T-shot from my view. You could see how the club just dropped low and behind her. She got it on the inside too much and pushed it and is now looking at which window flight window that she’s going to come through with this pine tree that’s 20 yards in front of her. So deep in discussions with doggy, it’s 130 to carry the bunker, 140 to the flag. And as I say, there’s like a low window to hit. So you take the trajectory down or there’s like a middle one, but that one is a lot narrower. I still think she’s going to look at wanting to work it from left to right. That’s certainly how she’s shaping up here. Yeah, you can see that abbreviated cailed follow through. Just trying to move the club from right to left while keeping that face open. So, it’s 140 to the flag. Don’t be short. There’s a bunker waiting. Eight iron. She’s trying to move it. Moved it a little bit. That’s okay. And not bad from Mimi Roads. So, it’s the best defense this golf course has with these dog legs, left and right. No tree trouble here. Part of the fairway. 105 yards left for Colott. Pin 11 on eight from the right. Gap wedge can take it all the way. Well, there’s no doubt she’s swinging it beautifully. Another one right at it from Saganda. talked yesterday how she uh spent Sunday and Monday at Liberty National in New Jersey with her coach Horge Parada giving her the confidence this week to come in on top of her game. There’s a little boy with a a mohawk hairstyle. It’s bright blue that’s just ran down the path which has caught Murray’s attention. So she resets 95 yds. She’s got also a gap wedge green that sits from back to front. [Music] Now this could be close. That’s a solid shot from Mtorios. P 38 with Nastasia Nadau just outside the top 10 on the rankings. 11th on the order of merit. Top 10 gets you into the final stage of LPJQ score. That’s something Estasia is keen to do. Oh, tremendous shot. The best we’ve seen today at the eighth. 180 yards and that was all over it. Oh, what a talent she is. to third now at this par four night for Charlie Hull and she’s got a chance to escape with a par four that is beautifully played by the English star. She did everything right then. Had to get the height on it. It was always going to release and got the measure of the green beautifully. Every chance that Mimi Rhodess will extend her lead at the top of the rankings is a case of how many. 500 points for a win. Kuska struggling towards the end of the leaderboard right now. So, she’s not going to pick up many points. So, Shannon Tan’s going well, but every chance that Mimi Rhodess might stretch her lead to over 500 points today. Only Gino Titan not here this week from that top 10. Perin Deaor is at number 10. And here is uh the French woman over at the ninth hole playing with Charlie. This is a very good part from long range. be happy with a two down on that lower tier. So, it’s going to be out in 34. Moving all the way from left to right. There’s some grains of sand that she’s going to look to take this at. Two and a half cups from left to right for a birdie. What a great effort from Mimi Roads. Relishing the opportunity there. Three wins came in four starts. Had a few ups and downs, few bumps along the way since then. Missed the cut in a couple of majors, but the last four weeks or so, things have been on the up again. So no real surprise to see her contending for this prestigious title. All piles on this front nine so far from Pauline Rousan Bush. Well, the sixth is a tough hole, so only an outside chance there of picking up a birdie. Not an easy put this one. She’s got a slight uphill to it, but then it’s down grain at the end. Left edge. Well, walked after it as soon as she hit it. Well, found the water at six, but she’s only one behind Carla Saganda right now. Never a smile far away. It was nice. She was talking about that yesterday, wasn’t she, in that interview, but we’ll focus on what is a crucial pass saving P for Charlie Hall. Brilliant. Clips a tree with the second after going left off the tea. But that is where champions are made. The ability to bounce back and to scramble and carve out a score. Very good four from Charlie. So the rehearsal is left hand low here on the grip uphill. It’s quite a slow birdie put this one. What grain there is. We’ll try and pull it down the right hand side as it dies with pace. Slope took it the other way. Yeah. the joys of playing on Bermuda Greens. Yeah, Sophie mentioned the putting struggles. 99th in the uh putting stats, stroke gain stats on the LPGA tour this year. It’s fascinating, isn’t it? The dark art of putting, how it’s tormented so many players over the years. Some of the more famous players, Michelle Wi and all the different putters that are out there these days. It’s changed so much over the last 10, 20 years. The pencil grip, the claw grip, left hand low, long putter. Oh, nearly didn’t need a putter there. Well, no change at the very top of the leaderboard. It’s still a Spanish one two. Carlos Siganda by one from Nuria at Golf Crest Country Club. But Shannon Tan has picked up another birdie. So she is seven under for the day through just 10 holes and gets herself alongside Charlie Hull and Mimi Rhodess, two English players and Nstasian Nado, the 20-year-old French player. Finan Bush making charges from the other side of the course as well. Been a good rookie season for Darcy Harry. Upstaged by I suppose those three wins from Mimi Roads. And there’s the defending champion. Been a struggle this year with injury and form for Lexi Firsting, but a decent week just outside that top 20. Just running you through the scores. Cut came at level par yesterday. Daniel who finished second in London just a month ago. Neville par today. Sophie Kiborn Neils part of that winning team for team Kuska yesterday. Long par three this today. It’s 180 yards, but the wind’s into from the left. It’s coming from 11:00, so playing more like 190. Sat on the back tier here. Long iron for roads. Well, it’s been a year beyond her expectations. I don’t think anyone could dream of coming out as a rookie and winning three times. heading for rookie of the year and order of merit in the same year. Carlotta Saganda was only the second player to do that. That was back in 2013. It’s now become a regular a regular thing. Five of the last seven years the rookie has won the rankings. Tambellini the latest. They’re ready, aren’t they? They come out ready. Wake Forest, Mimi Road, straight out of there winning. Yeah. So, Gander went to ASU. She quit after a couple of years because she, well, she was too good. Needed to start making some money. Plenty of money out there these days as well, Sophie, isn’t there? Yeah, she spoke openly about the money and the investment in the ladies European tour. Trying to send this one lower, slightly into the wind. See if she can find that back plateau. Trying to fade it in a little bit. Oh, and that’s another excellent shot from Saganda. But you look at the facilities now at these US colleges and the opportunities you have as an amateur. It’s mindboggling. As I say, we were talking about this earlier in the week. Some of the teams fly to tournaments in the States on a private jet. You’re a freshman, you’re a sophomore in college. It’s not a bad way to travel then hauling yourself up the M1. Hey, Sophie. Itus final player. She’s got five iron, 180 back pin. Playing all of 190. It’s a big par three today. This here, all three players just coming up shy of the flag, but all will have putter in hand at this eighth hole. Well, Gabby Partington out on the course chatting to some of the players. I think she’s got another one with her right now. Well, Selene, with so much travel, how amazing is it the fact that you actually get to kind of be down the road this week, didn’t you? Given that you live in Dallas. Yeah, it’s definitely not very far compared to where I’ve been. Um, but I won’t have a chance to go home just because I have tournaments before and after, but it’s still nice to have a home kind of feel. I feel like Texas is it own, you know, little state. So, so it’s good to be home. It’s probably a big change from France, isn’t it? Yeah. Very uh very different. I But it’s they’re nice. I feel like Texans are very welcoming. So, it’s good to That’s good to hear. Um I’ve tend to see you in the gym most mornings, most events, most Yeah, you’re always in the gym every week. And I’ve seen that you’ve gained distance in the last couple of years. If so, by how much? And would you put that down to the gym work that you’ve been doing? Uh, well, I I I’m just warming up in the gym when I see you. Not like properly working out, so I wouldn’t say I’m there that much to work out. But I definitely feel like over the years I’ve gained some distance. I think it’s important. I feel like the game has gotten, you know, better and better every year. Uh, everybody’s getting longer. You kind of have to uh get a little bit of distance. I think probably since the very first few years I’ve been on tour till now, maybe I’ve gained like 10 15 yards, which I think is helpful. I’m definitely not a long hitter. Um, but I’m like kind of keeping up with the average, you know. So, uh, yeah, I think it’s been beneficial and just prevent injury and all that. So, I feel like that’s definitely something that you have to kind of do. Yeah, absolutely. And just lastly, quickly, um, your caddy Carlos now, his girlfriend, she must be fit as a fiddle as well, Eva Lotton, and she’s cycling from Sweden to Holland. Can you tell us why? Yeah, I think uh she’s uh doing it for the the year before the Soheim Cup, which going to be in the Netherlands. So, she’s been cycling from Sweden, which is where she’s from, and to the Netherlands to um, you know, be environmentally friendly, and she has been super impressive and very amazing to to see, and I think uh, yeah, I’m definitely not there to do that, but very much supporting her. You absolutely were. Great to chat. Yeah, nice to hear from Selen Bouty. This is the final group at the par 38. All three players on similar kind of lines here Sophie albe it there’s a bit of distance between uh where Mimi Rhodess is going to be putting from and where Carlo Saganda will be I think it it kind of highlights the difference in length as well is more of that club longer and these players you know got five iron in the hand the next club up for so many of them is a hybrid and and there’s more than a 10 yard gap there. It goes into maybe a 15 yard 20 yard gap and they don’t want to be long at this pin which is why they’ve all kind of aired on the side of caution but it does leave yourself a hard putt. It’s it’s uphill and it’s into grain for 3/4 of it and then there’s a down grain and there’s a double break to it as well. So roads going first. They’ll all be in having a look at this one. Should we come back now? Yeah, it was trying. Great effort. Yeah, it was trying. Just a little bit of work on that one though. When she was in contention in London, she missed a couple of that length. One of the 18th in particular stood out. This is Nastasia up at nine. This needs to go. Oh dear. Maybe got caught up in the sticky grass. Elected to go with a putter from off the green. Well, she says the short game is the wink part of her game. It’s the ball striking where she excels. And I think we saw an example of that there. So, what did Nura learn then from that roads putt? Oh, it’s exactly the same line. As it gets to the hold, it wants to be on the left edge, but it’s going to move right to left to start. [Music] Last win was in 2023 for Itiosa at the Lasa Open. She has won before. Hasn’t been for a while. She’s got some stiff competition today. You have to admire the consistency of Carlott as a gander. Just like we’ve been comparing her to Charlie Hull. They’re always up there. They’re always inside the top 10. Just winning a little bit more. Colt seems to come over and win in Spain. She always comes back for that. But these are the type of events with their careers and their world rankings that they should be winning. So, it’s time to kind of stamp that authority. She could do that here. This one, left to right. [Music] Oh, it was a lovely part. Swung at the last few rolls, but a good try though from Saganda. I remember working at years ago on the LPGA event Lorena Archa Invitational that she won and she was six under through 10 but she dropped four shots in the last five holes end up winning in a playoff so I know we talked about she can get a bit nervous let’s see what happens on the back nine poor first putt better looking second but it’s going to result in a bogey for Nado her first of the day so she’ll turn a couple under eight under overall it’s a good point Sophie makes carusaganda and Charlie Hall were both in the final group of this event last year and uh were outgunned by Lexi Fen. He was a muchdeserved winner. They have both won this event. The equivalent Charlie won in New York back in 2021. Carlotta won in Florida in 2023. [Music] And there you go. mentioned maybe a little bit of her nemesis at times, Mimi. And that’s a costly three puck. So, first drop shot of the day for her. And that’s if that puck goes in. That ran by a fair few feet. Okay, this for a birdie now for Seline Boutier we’ve just been hearing from. And it’s a lovely birdie to climb to seven under. Can’t rule her out. Major champion. Maybe that call that the Gabby bounce. Lovely bird as you say. Still plenty on this for Mimi Rose to drop just the one. Okay, no problem. But eight under par. That takes a three back now. [Music] And so Caddy Doug to have a chat about anything but golf. That’s what they said. That’s when she plays her best. And he’s got plenty to chat about. He’s to be on the bag for Nicole Garcia. And now working with Mimi Rhodess. Congratulations. Nicole is expecting a baby. One of the stores on the ladies European tour. and Turus remains one back. She knows where the cameras are, doesn’t she? Yeah. She said, “Don’t be fooled by the smile. She does get mad from time to time, but she says she likes to smile because, you know, she likes to separate golf and life. Very fun, bubbly character. When the Sohan Cup was in Spain, she spent most of the week on the first tea dancing with the music that was there. If you ever get the chance to play in one of these promps and you are able to choose a player, choose her. If you want to have a good fun time, you’d also want to choose Saganda for her experience and the way she plays the game. Could be a bit quicker, mind you. But this is for a par to remain at 11 under steady. Not spectacular so far. Yesterday she couldn’t stop making birdies. Earlier around today it’s been mainly pars. They’re trying to get it back to this back right pin. And she has another delightful shot from Charlie Hull. Another miss green for Pauline Rousan Bousard. got up and down at the last and looks like she’s going to do the same here. Tidy short game work from the French woman. Well, things pretty much as they were overnight then. Saganda by one. This is Pin Delor playing with Charlie Hall at 10. 71 yards left for Deliver. pin. It’s 13 yds and only three yards from the right. Trying to play this one up the green. Running it up the slope. Tricky angle where she was coming from. There was a lot of green there. Two under front nine for P de La. So, two under and um eight under for the championship. She’s back three and now on the back nine. Got to find some birdies. There are plenty of birdies on the back nine. It is the easier half. But yesterday in the team competition, just when you thought that all those teams were going to close in on the lead and eclipse the magic number of 32 under, they did dry up. Pressure can do funny things. Well, it’s a straight drive on nine, but that might have ventured off right a little bit for the leader. [Music] Yeah, good drive from Nura. Okay, I’ve got some bad news. It’s going to start raining soon. The wind’s getting up. We have got Well, I think it’s looking more than a bit of rain, unfortunately. There looks very, very dark clouds coming over Houston right now. And this wind’s as strong as I’ve felt it all week. It’s like a stormy wind. That’s why them balls are just moving to the right as they die on the last 20 yards of their flight. So roads is going to aim at the hospitality kind of left hand side of the fairway here. Okay. Well, we’ve got this back nine to come as Mimi has a good stare at her drive and it’s going to end in those pine cones. Yeah, we had a lot of heavy rain earlier in the week, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and uh the way the rain came down, I think on Monday in particular, had 3/4 of an inch in an hour. This course got flooded very quickly. So, if Sophie’s right, and it is some very heavy rain on its way, that doesn’t bode too well. So, fingers crossed if we do get some wet weather, it’s only a sprinkling. This will complete another excellent up and down for Pauline Rousan Bush. And that keeps her within touch. Although holes are running out, seven under par for her. She is on the started off at the 10th after that brilliant front nine where she picked up five unanswered birdies. Bogey free today at the moment. She is three back of the leader Carlo Sigander. Two trophies up for grabs this week. Team Kuska have already won the team event. It’s about who’s going to win the other trophy and with it close to a quarter of a million dollars first prize. Carlos Saganda one ahead of a compatriate but Charlie Hull has another good look at birdie coming up at the par five 10th holds that and the English woman will be within one [Music] Well, chance to see your favorite player who made it through to the weekend top 60 and ties 54ole tournament. The team event concluded last night and now these players battling it out including Daniel Kang. Well, today even part for the former major champion and Soheim Cup star, one of a handful of Americans teeing it up this week. So five under. It’s not going to be her day, but still a solid showing. Players studying as well as playing these days. Deore coming up shy. Looks like Deor might finish off here. Just lurking, isn’t she? Two birdies, no drop shots. plays be mixing it on the LE and the LPGA tour this year. Nice couple of properties around this part of the course, aren’t there, Amy? Well, there’s a beautiful house to the left of this 10th green. They’re actually out spectating, watching on Charlie Hull is eyeing up this early opportunity. She had a beautiful wedge in. She had a good look around the hole at this break. I’ve been to have a look at it. I don’t see much. I think it’s inside. Right. Tell you what, we are having a great look at that house. That was very, very nice. Do you think they’re having an after party? Well, it’s not as loud as the one that was to the left of six. I think that was a party house this week. There’s some loud music coming from that one. Charlie now in over it. keeps the flag in as she always does. And Charlie Hull starts the back nine the way she started the front and she is getting ever closer to the very top within one now of Carlo Siganda and in a share of second place. What a fine comeback this has been. Bear in mind she hasn’t played competitive golf since Raw fourth call and that second place finish at the AIG Women’s Open. And one behind Carlotta now. Well, she’s having a good look here, Sophie. Pointing up at the tree. Have you Have you caught your eye on it at all? Hey, don’t blame me. Kate caught this T-shot. Uh, we didn’t see it land. Unfortunately, we didn’t see it. You’re right. We saw a direction. Well, she’s looking up. So, it did hit a tree. Well, she’s looking as if maybe it’s got stuck up the tree. Can’t see that. I think we need a little replay on it. And then cuz the thing is we don’t know where to look. Like it’s about, you know, if it didn’t hit the tree, 40 yards further down. If it did hit the tree, then obviously it’s at right angles. Go backwards. Well, there’s a few people out there. Official photographer Neville. players. Well, let’s have a look back at this T-shot at this 10th hole from Carlotus Aaganda. Is it a case of ball getting stuck in the tree? There it is. And nothing that we can see in our island coming out, but that I’m not 100% sure that it stayed up there, but nobody else down there like you, Sophie, saw it come out. So, maybe it has got stuck in the tree. This has happened before. She’s got two options, hasn’t she? One is climb the tree and play it. You’ve just been So, you’re saying that it hit the tree, Richard, but you haven’t seen it come out? No, but our camera wasn’t necessarily wide enough. We need to identify it though, don’t we? That’s the issue. Yes. Otherwise, she just has to go back to the tea. Play three. Because there are fair few people around, aren’t there, Sophie? So, you would have thought someone would have seen it. Yeah, we had a guy just come over and he said it hit the tree, but Well, 3 minutes is the time allowed and we must be getting very, very close to that now. Well, also it’s pretty clear. Well, it’s clear on the ground, so it must have stayed in the tree because there’s enough people there that surely would have spotted it right now. And she just grabbed my laser to have a little look up there. Obviously, cuz it’s kind of like a binocular, but you know, she’s now gone back to her bag and taken the golf ball out. So MJ, the referee’s come over and unfortunately Colossus is going to have to go back to the tea cuz if it’s in the tree, we can’t find it. We can’t identify it. So it has to be classed as a lost ball. Well, I mentioned Charlie Hall getting a couple of breaks. She cleared the bunker at eight by a few inches. She then hit a tree at nine and came out safely. And then you get the other side of the coin like Carlotti here where it’s a really bad break. Ball seems to have got stuck up on a tree and now you’re suddenly playing three off the te at a hole where you’re thinking potential birdie. Meanwhile, the playing partners continue at nine. Well, this from the pine straw. Sorry, Kate. So, it makes it very interesting now, doesn’t it, Sophie? This one’s interesting. It’s hard. This pin’s hanging off the back edge. She’s hit five iron, but she’s got five iron. 183 to that pin. So much room in front of it. This flag’s only fire from the back edge. It’s hanging off. Oh, it’s a super shot from Mimi Roads. That was excellent. Clipped it perfectly off that lie. Oh, so remember Sagand’s got the lead by one shot, but it’s now going to be three off the tea at the ninth. So certainly going to drop one. This leaderboard is going to be congested. We have got a whole kaleidoscope of players right in the mix. Now 148 pin slightly into the wind. eight iron. Yeah, nicely done from Itios who I suppose by default of Carlott’s trial and tribulations is in a share of the lead really with Charlie and potentially Carlott as well with Carlott and Birdie with her second ball. Yeah. It’s all change it seems. Carlotta’s made her way back to the ninth T. This par four of just under 400 yds with a Caddy Casey. They had to take the uh the drive back. Yeah, that lonely drive back. We’re all kind of talking to each other, crowd and players like how has it stayed up there? But a guy next to me outside the ropes was like, I saw it go in. I did not see it come out. And because we’ve got some pine shore below, you’d have seen it just drop. It’ have been a lot clearer. But anyway, three off the tea now for the Spaniard. That’s an unfortunate break for Saganda now. Hopefully avoiding the tree this time. But well, she hit the tree, Kate. She came out this time. If only have done that the first. That was a really bad break. I know it wasn’t a great shot, but it’s a bad break nonetheless for the 35year-old Spaniard. And it brings, as you say, plenty of other players into the mix here. Selene Boutier, four back as it stands. But we know Seline’s going to get a Well, she’s going to get even closer. What a fabulous shot is from the Evian Champion of 2023. Well, plenty has been going on uh this week with some great initiatives. See the impact is part of the PIF Global Series. Words from social, economic, and environment impacts they make on the local environment. And they’ve had a partnership with Sustained Futures and the Muslim Golf Association who work together to empower women to take up the game of golf. And over 250 girls under the age of 18 have joined us this week on site to take part in the workshops. And includes hitting some golf balls like you see here, getting to know the game. And they had one or two Q&As. And I have to say one of the most entertaining was with our very own Sophie Walker. Charlie Hull from 146 yds. Nine iron looking to go straight at this left pin. She’s looking good though, Charlie. She’s four under the card today and uh she could very soon have a share of the lead because Saganda now is playing her fourth shot. That T-shot clattering into the trees had to go back all the way to the tea. And it’s not an easy shot that pin all the way back. Sophie, there can’t have been many birdies here today. This is This was the pin that when I got up this morning, did the pin position, went and had a little look. I actually physically went and had a look and met. Is it the green keeper’s dog, Bear? He was out here. Yeah. On this ninth green. And it’s it’s got humps and hollows. It kind of just wiggles its way from front to back, getting slightly higher as it gets to the back of the green and then it drops off into some water. So, Carlotta has found the first cut of rough sat slightly down. So, she want to get in steep. She’s got 171 yards. But, as I mentioned, this pin 38 on, it’s only five from the back edge. But, there is there’s an ups slope. It’s on a it’s on a plateau, this flag. So you want to be looking at where a playing partner’s golf balls have finished and that’s your maximum landing area really. Zero on this hole. Sophie. Exact. Yeah. What’s surprising? I can’t see any caddy letting a player go after this pin. It’s also slightly into the wind and the rain as I spoke about is starting to come down. There’s a few umbrellas up. So 171 a fourth shot here for Carot Saganda. And it’s not easy. A back flag. Come on. Well, she has the experience and the knowhow, Carlotta Saganda, to recovery from a setback like this, but it will unnerve the very best. Lengthy putt for bogey. So, every chance she’s going to make a double. bogey free for much of the round yesterday. Dropped one laid on in that round of 64. Going to go back to 10 under par at best. Coming towards the end of a round is Rousan Bush. Demolish the back nine. Five birdies it was indeed for Rousan Bushar. It’s been a string of pars on the back nine for her as she started on the 10th. So, five under today, eight under for the championship and running out of holes, but still solid showing. Yeah, she’s smiling there cuz that’s three holes in a row where she has made brilliant up and downs there, Rousan Bush. And that keeps the score looking very impressive. This is a look down at this ninth hole. And uh that rain is starting to fall, Sophie. And I suppose given everything that’s happened to Carl, it’s a case of if it rains, it pours. Yeah, I’m just going to go into hospitality actually the back of nine and call it in there from now on for this back nine. That’s all. Uhuh. Uhuh. Sorry. I know. Well, Ro’s going to go even though she’s on the direct line of Saganda. Up and over that ridge I was talking about. That’s good sportsmanship there. She could have easily have gone, “No, Carlott, I’ll wait for you to play.” But she’s kept the pace going. And as I say, she was on the exact line that Zaganda was also on. Mimi at 8 under pass. So she’ll hopefully tap that in and turn in level for the round choosing to go with a pter from off the green. Charlie well naturally won’t be aware of what’s going on behind with Carlotta Saganda that she won’t know that she’s going to be in a share of the lead very shortly. There’s not many leaderboards out on this golf course unless this one goes in. Some shot in. I mean, I know she had a great T- shot, but from 148 to go at this pin, it’s going to break off the shoulder though at the back edge of this green. So, it’s going to swing from left to right and really pick up pace in that last two yards of this putt. That’s really interesting, isn’t it? We saw Nastasia and Nadau come up quite a way short from double the distance and that never threatened. They obviously think it’s a a lot quicker than it is there. Meanwhile, Shannon Tan looking to go eight under for the round. Didn’t really have her on the radar today, but you should now. What a run this is from the Singaporean. Went to University in Texas. Knows this area well. knows the grass well, the conditions. Well, she’s going to be in a share of the lead now, Shannon Tan. I mean, she started the day all the way back at two under par, which was eight shots off the lead, and now she’s in a share of the lead. Did you have Shannon Tan on the radar today, Sophie? No, I’ve just got rain on my radar at the minute, Richard. It’s really coming down now. I’ve got my lovely cart driver Kiana with some waterproofs ready for me after I watch this pot. So, what we got? Best part of 45 ft up the hill. Kind of put putting through a channel and as it gets up to the top, the last five yards will break from left to right. Right to left to start though. Hit it. It’s a great line. Oh, what a costly hole. What a bad break for Carlotta Saganda. She’ll mark that one. Well, you’d expect Carlotta to be part of an eighth Soheim Cup in a year’s time. Made her debut in 2013. like Charlie Hull and played in everyone since then. As I say, Nura was cheerleader on home soil a few years ago. She continues this form. Nuria will be in the team as well, but she’s going to march on with a share of the lead when she steps onto the back nine and goes to the 10th. Saganda is going to drop two should that double bogey part go in. So 10 under leading the way. Yeah, three players on that mark. Tulio’s just finishing off there at nine along with Charlie Hull and Shannon Tan. Well, it may be a bad break, but it’s a costly double six for Carlo Saganda. And from being the one to chase, she is now a shot behind the three leaders. We’ve now got 11 players within two shots of the lead and that’s one of them there. Pin de laur she went out in 34. So at eight under palm is one of those players within a chance of the title. It’s all to play for on the bat n. We had a congested leaderboard in London and it’s shaping up to be exactly the same way here with nine holes remaining. Yeah, she’s one of four French players inside the top 10. There’s plenty of vaa voom on this page of uh the leaderboard, isn’t there? In Houston, Shannon Tan started the day eight shots off the lead alongside Charlie Hull now and Nuria at the very top. And she has got plenty of holes on her side, hasn’t she Shannon Tan? Albe it she is going to be playing the front nine which is probably Kate the trickier of the two nines would you say? Yeah the front nine is certainly harder. I mean you looked at players like Shannon Tan and uh Pauline Rousan Bousard cover the back nine in very few strokes indeed. That’s where they’ve made their inroads and you’d expect someone like Charlie Hull. She’s in attack mode. She’s playing well. She’s four under for the round. You’d expect her to keep the foot down and keep making birdies. You would expect that to happen. But what we saw yesterday in the team event, we expect the scores to be lower and in the end the birdies dried up. I mean, we’ve said this before, but pressure can do funny things. Charlie is one of the most experienced players. She’s only interested, she’s not remotely interested in finishing runner up. She will go for it on the back nine. And if that pays off, then she could break free from the chasing pack. But you’ve still got some great players right in the mix, including Selene Boutier has that experience. And uh you’ve also got Nuria Tulio. She’s a four-time winner on tour and she’s going to have her eyes on the prize as well. So it really is I mean I know live sport that’s the beauty of it. What we think is going to happen isn’t always so. But you would put your money on Charlie right now. [Applause] So off to the 10th T we go. Well the waterproofs are on. Dare I say I’m a little bit chilly. out in shorts. Par five, 10th hole, 533. Back into the wind down a corridor of trees. That’s just sat down a little bit in the fluffy grass down the right hand side. Are we at drizzly rain or heavy rain right now, Sophie? It’s a light drizzle, I would say, at the minute. So, that’s good. That’s good signs for us. So we’re speaking about Mimi Rose’s little lull during uh Royal P call AIG Women’s Open. She actually spoke to Karen Stpples and it really gave her a kind of a a kick in the right direction and some positivity. So great credit for the vice captain of the Curtis Cup for Road’s turnound more mini turnaround you would say. also finding that right hand rough seems to be sitting okay though 79% on the Aramco energy meter a little unnerving isn’t it on the tea right now for Carlotta she’s had a couple of T- shots there at nine that went right it is but that the ninth t-shot is a difficult difficult T- shot especially with that wind freshening up and she can’t be too hard on herself. There wasn’t there weren’t really bad shots. You got to say it’s just a bad break. Reset. Go on to this back nine. It’s par five. I don’t think you’ll get there today with this wind direction. Soft conditions. 533 yds. Well, no problem with that one. Yeah, there’s been a few birdies at the 10th hole, but the players are going to have to do it the conventional way. Get up and down. 533 is going to be on most players reach. Co-leader now, Charlie Hull 31 12th hole. 144 for Charlie. Nine iron, maybe even a wedge. Great shot. Pin high. Very good. Look at a two. had to break free and take the lead all by herself. What a fascinating final round it’s been so far at this Aramco Houston Championship. Back with the action in a moment, but Gabby has caught up with the Italian Alessandro Finale. Well, Alandro, it’s mad to think there was actually life before golf for a lot of us, but for you, you were a really impressive swimmer, I hear. So, how did the transition into golf happen? It happened when I was like 9 years old, 10 years old. My dad played a lot of golf and I was a really good swimmer, but I was like, I don’t think I want to go forward with this. So, I decided to start playing golf and here I am. Yeah. So, it’s your dad that got you into golf cuz I hear a lot of your family, your relatives are golfers or they do play. Apart from your mom. Is she not tempted yet? No. She’s like, I enjoy come and watch you walking around. It’s fun, but I don’t like golf. She likes tennis. So, yeah. Well, still sporty then. Um, as you know, we’ve got the RDER Cup which is round the corner this time in New York, but a couple of years ago we had it at your home club, Marco Simon. So, how amazing was it seeing your home club on that world stage? It was so cool. I was there all week. It was like amazing. The best experience ever. I mean, I wish I could go in New York as well cuz I get some tickets from Marcus Simony, but I don’t know. I’m deciding last minute. What’s holding you back? Uh, I’m supposed to play in France, so we’ll see. Depends how this week’s go. But yeah, we’ll see. It’s amazing. Yeah. Well, stranger, I hear that your favorite song is New York City. Is that right? Yeah. Yeah, that’s true. We’ll just keep it at that. We prefer Marco Simone. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Marcus Simone all the way. Great to chat. Thank you so much. Well, maybe she will be off to New York. She’s had two Eagles today, Alisandra Fernard. And she is one of those in contention for the title. Three shots back. I think she was a bit taken back by the fact that Gabby knew that New York was her favorite song. Oh, Gabby the Sonatra one or the It is. Yeah. Oh, well, that’s the one I know. There are two versions. Mary J Blige, isn’t it the other one? Now, here is Shannon Tan. Started the day in a share of 39th place. She is now in a share of first. Some tricky holes coming up. Four’s not been easy, but it is when you Shannon Tan fairway found, green found, birdie opportunity coming up to take her to nine under for the round. This is what Carlo Saganda was doing yesterday from that side of the course starting at 10. Yeah, and remember Danielle Kang speaking so effusively about Shannon Tan earlier in the week. They played together in the team event. Shannon Tan hasn’t missed a fairway since about 5 years ago. She is a fairway finder, 86% of fairway. So puts herself in very very good positions. Danielle Kang was super impressed with her play and that’s coming from a major champion and Soulheim Cup star. So watch out for Shannon. Okay, it’s Alicia Keys. Sorry. Oh, that’s it. Bad news. No. No. Right. 210 it is to the the bunker that sits across this fairway. I think they’ll all be laying up. And it was Empire State of Mine with Jay-Z, so it’s not actually called New York. So, you could be right. You could be right, Richard. Well done. Did you hop on Spotify briefly? I tell you, I should have done that. No, my my era of that was like last night in that Texas bar. Remember that, Richard? All the songs I was really really Yeah. Sophie knows her music. She’s been line dancing too, has she? I’m not sure. Country western special. Yeah. Listening to that interview with Gabby and Ally. Do you remember me and Richard would actually ones that Well, we didn’t convince her to do Marco Simone, but we said she was going to miss the go and play in the French Open. And we said, “You can’t play in the French Open knowing that this is at your home golf course.” So, we were both really pleased that she did make that decision. Another layup. As I say, we’re not getting there today. So, we’re just looking at what’s your number. That bunker sits 60 yards short of the green. So, looking to hit it down there and leave yourself around about 80 90 yards into the flag. No issue there for Zaganda from the fairway. You’d thought the lie was fine. Well, that’s not a good layup, is it? I mean, she No, no. He’s made it a little trickier for himself coming out from I suppose is it getting wet the rough as well now. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean this ball sat down in the Bermuda. Look how it’s come out just low and chasey. You’d rather that for the layup than having to come into from that Bermuda from that lie. Well, he’ll be playing a third from the short grass. Saganda won’t be. This is a bit of a test for the world number 30. Charlie Hall. This is a right edge puts going to move a little bit. Well, that was for the outright lead. Looks at the putter blade, but in position, Charlie Har. It’s fair to say she maybe hasn’t won as much as you’d expect for the talent she is. won twice on the LPGA Tour, four times on the Ladies European tour. Her last win came in one of these PIF Global Series events when she won in Riad last November, won by three shots from Pia Babnik. There she is alongside Shannon Tan and Nuria. thinking of the great comebacks uh on the ladies European tour in recent years. We had that six-shot comeback from Cassandra Alexander at the Czech Ladies Open and then wasn’t it last year the Scandinavian mix. Ling Grant started the day 11 shots behind Sebastian Soderberg in the event co- sanction between the le and the DP World Tour and she won that in the end in what was an incredible final day in Sweden. So Shannon Tan looking to join those great comebacks in this for yet another birdie. Oh, it was a nice stroke. More break than she thought, but she’s got her eye in today. Shannon already a two-time winner 21 years old one as a teenager last year on her professional debut. Very unassuming player when you meet her doesn’t have that like that f that stardom that Charlie Hull has a very impressive golfer. Well, even her dad’s Shannon’s not her favorite player. She said Esther, her dad says Esther Henselite’s his favorite player. Poor Shannon. Anyway, Nura at 10. 114 yards. Don’t be sure it’ll spin down the slope. Yeah, Shannon’s dad wanted uh Shannon to get Esther Henselite’s autograph when they were playing together at the Mundy German Masters, but she was too shy to do so. So the ladies European tour staff managed to put that right for her. I remember the time that Charlie her last asked for Paula Kmer’s autograph to sign a golf ball after she beat her in the So Cup in Colorado. What a blow to her pride that must have been for Paula Kmer. What’s the lie like here Sophie? It’s not great. I was wondering if the uh pine tree might even affect her back swing, but she’s just far enough away from it. So 107 she’s got here and it’s only a wedge, but I think she wanted to be down the left hand side so she could get a good look at this pin. You got to play for a jumper though from that light. Oh, that is a wonderful shot from Carla Saganda. That is classy from the Spaniard. Given everything that’s happened in the last 25 minutes or so, that was top class, especially being the only player that is over par. And you have to go all the way down to 24th place where April Angoras is who’s one over. So, courtesy of that double bogey after losing the ball in the trees on the ninth. Saganda fighting a way to get back into the lead again. 92 92 yards left for Mimi. Play 95. It’s slightly into the wind. [Music] A little bit of a mistake there. Going a little long and right up against the collar. Six birdies and eagle. This for par number six of the day for Shannon Tan. Yeah. The reason why uh she uh won as a teenager on tour. She was at Texas Tech and qualified for the ladies European tour as an amateur at Q school and decided to leave Texas Tech. Hello. Beautiful pop from Luna Sabbron. Maybe case of too little too late for her. She gets to seven under with new clubs in the bag. If you are joining us today for the first time, lost her clubs on Monday, Luna Subbron, and now had to cobble together a new set thanks to tight list. I’m assuming that was from the flight as opposed to she like left them somewhere. That’s what we understand. Yep. But uh they haven’t turned up as yet. She’ll have two very good sets of golf clubs and I think she’ll want to keep hold of these. Umbrella up for Mimi Roge. Have you got an umbrella here, Sophie? No. No, no, I’ve not. Although there there’s a poncho that’s potentially on offer. Uh but it’s polka dot. I’m just not quite sure I’m willing to have a cameraman find me wearing that. So, uh it’s it’s okay. Skin’s waterproof. Nura first to go here. So from the lower level, as I mentioned, anything short would spin back down. So it’s up the hill and then as it gets to the hole, it’ll just break to the left on her. Tap in par it will be for Nura. One of three players on 10 under par. Well, what a run it’s been for Salem Boutier at the start of this back nine. Birdies at 10, 11 and 12 and this for another at 13. It was a pretty decent try. play didn’t win last year on the LPGA tour, but did in one of these PIF Global Series events nestled against the collar. Wasn’t easy. Thought you could have belly wedged that one, was it? Such a short chip downhill. So easy to jab it like she did, trying to get in steep, trying to miss the collar behind you. A little puff of exasperation there for Mimi Roads. Charlie Hull from 154 yards. Needs to carry the bunker to Big 8. And again, she just clears the bunker. She’s done that a couple of times today. It’s all worked out rather well. She’s taking dead aim and going for the target on every opportunity. Back here at this par five 10th been a bit of a messy hole so far for Mimi. Yeah, you would say after those layups that Carlott still wouldn’t have had a birdie putt hitting it at the closest. And yeah, Roads has got some tidying up to do. The good news is you saw it go past the hole, so she knows it’s going to be uphill from left to right. But you’d hate to drop a shot with only 92 yds left in with her approach. This for par. There’s another drop shot for Mimi Roads. two in the last three holes and her chances of winning a fourth ladies European Tour title here this week in Houston diminishing slightly sometimes I think the more complicated the shot the better Sagam hits it she kind of goes into just a playing mode so from the thick Bermuda she’s got this one for Birdie just to make it a four-way tie at the top of the leaderboard. Brilliant bounce back, a double bogey at the ninth after losing her ball in the tree. Little fist pump there as well from Saganda. So, it’s an exciting back nine to come. Four players locked on 10 under par. Yeah, that reaction that just shows you she knew how important that was. It wasn’t the best of layups, but a brilliant up and down to make a vital four for Carlo Siganda. So, two Spaniards and a Singaporean and an English woman tied at the top at 10 under. Nastasia Nadau, she’s not out of the picture. This is for Birdie at the 12th and this to move to nine under par and get within one and boom in it goes. Looking for her first win on the le. She had a second place finish this season that came in Belgium at the Huland Court Women’s Open. Of course, she was the uh the star player when she won that playoff against Georgia Hall in London last year at the PIF London Championship. How congested is that? All those players on that page of the leaderboard separated by just two shots. Oh, it’s a classy looking leaderboard, isn’t it? Is there going to be a late twist? Could any of these players still be in with a chance? Christina Napalyava struggling today, only even par, but she finds herself three back. You never know what’s the beauty of this sport. Last year, Lana Stro won an event on the LPGA Tour, the Shopright LPGA. She fired 60 in the final round. She started in 52nd place and ended up lifting the trophy. Sophie golf’s a beautiful game and we don’t know what’s around the corner. It’s easier to chase than it is to lead. That’s basically the theory there, isn’t it? Tough T-shot this dog leg from right to left opting for a fairway wood to go through the fairway will be two 60 and this is edging down the right hand side. There’s a sharp dog leg left on 11. That’s what makes this this golf course what it is really. It’s such a flat piece of property that they’ve tricked it up with the and they are right angles. I’ve seen players hit it over these trees like 280 would drive and flick in a wedge or conservatively down the right hand side here. Tio’s trying to bite off as much of the corner as she can. Where’s that come out? And that’s absolutely fine. But a player like Paulie Mack, one of the longer players out here, Helen Breams, they really can cut off the corner. Charlie Hal’s got some distance on her, too. Mimi Rhodess now. Yeah. I just think it’s it’s what suits your eye. We talk we always talk about how good Carlott is at moving it from left to right. And I’ve been saying how Turios is looking like hitting draws. So, this all does suit the draw. I would expect roads to be pulling up. She got driver here, Kate. Cuz she likes to take it from right left. So to carry side is kind of 230. But you better keep it in the air cuz very high. Yeah, it certainly is a driver. Good illustration of the hole on your right hand side of your screen. High draw from Mimi, but she likes it. Picks up the tea quickly. 15 players separated by just three shots on what is a drizzly afternoon just south of Houston in Pland here for this Aramco Houston Championship. Golf Crest Country Club seen plenty of water over it over the last week or so. Did a core one of those within that three shots of the lead. One of uh almost a handful of French players inside that top 10. Player on fire Shannon Tan eight under today. One of the leaders a to get to the outright lead on 11 under. And she’s flying under the radar playing the course the other way round having started on the 10th. would seem as big as a bucket and it is today indeed for Shannon Tan. We’ve got a new leader and she’s from Singapore. Well, there were 38 players ahead of her on the leaderboard at the start of this final round and Shannon Tan is on a move. Can she be joined though by Charlie Hull here at 13? No. Here’s the answer. Well, Charlie Hull with the four birdies today. Shannon Tan nine under for the round. It’s an extraordinary performance from the player from Singapore. Let’s catch up again with Gabby Carol. I mean, it doesn’t look like the US right now. We got them brolies up. It has been hot for the last two days, but I believe you went to university in Mississippi State, didn’t you? So, how great is it to be back on US soil? Um, really good. I mean, I actually messaged my coach and I told her, “Hey, it’s so hot.” Cuz she asked me if I was playing in Texas. I was like, “Oh, yeah. It’s so hot.” And then she goes like, “Come on, don’t let me down now. You went to school in Mississippi.” Um, so I guess, yeah, it’s been crazy hot. And I know it was this hot in Mississippi, too, but it’s been a while. So, I haven’t really been used to it at all. But, um, yeah, getting it climatized now again. But before that, you’re obviously from Switzerland, aren’t you? So, you’re used to being in the snow, aren’t you? Yeah, definitely more snow than than like 35° and humidity. Look, you got your sister Flavia on the bag, who’s a pretty decent golfer. Now, the first time I Well, she was on the bag, it was in London, wasn’t it? So, she’s still here, so she must be doing a good job. Yeah. Well, and I guess I’m hopefully nice enough as well that she’s still here. I think that’s the bigger one. Um, but no, she’s been great. uh she’s going to go going to have to go back to uni soon. So, I think she’s going to do next week and then that’s going to be it for a while. But, no, she’s been doing great. She’s been Yeah. super nice to me and kind of keeping me in check the whole time. Oh, I’m for sure she is. And before previously, you you’d like to use local caddies. Why Why was that always important to you? I don’t know. I always just kind of like to do my own thing on the golf course and I felt like with local caddies I could do that, you know, a little bit more because I was able to do my own decisions. But I think, you know, looking forward, I’m definitely trying to probably find someone a bit more longterm to not be switching back and forth pretty much every week. Yeah. Okay. So, we say goodbye to Flavia. Yeah. Bye, Flavia. See you soon. It’s been great to chat. Thank you, darling. Not yet. Gabby, she’s going to be on the bag next week where Kiara will be the star attraction at the Swiss Ladies Open. And Kiara, by the way, five under today. She’s running out of holes coming down the last now. But 800 par. It’s been another good week from last year’s number one on the ladies European tour. Carl, just giving this a good look. How close to the collar is she here, Sophie? Very. I mean, this is going to interrupt the club getting into the back of this golf ball. She’s got 156 yards. Plays a couple up the hill. This flag is four from the left hand side. So, she’s actually going to want to start this off the green on that left hand side. and then just look to bring it back because you don’t want to be in those front right bunkers. If you miss the green slightly left, that’s okay. [Applause] Great shot. Outstanding from Siganda. What a beautiful time to strike. Well, we wonder what sort of reaction there would be to the double bogey at nine and the luck that went against her. The approach shot at 10 and then that at 11 has shown the fighting spirit of the Spaniards. That’s for sure. But she’s being spoken to here by uh the referee. Is that Mark in there? Don’t know if that Jamie telling her to get a wiggle on, I imagine. Well, yeah, we don’t know. It might be to do with the ball up the tree. We We shouldn’t really speculate. Maybe Sophie can find out what’s going on. Maybe she does know what’s going on. Look, I never know what’s going on, Richard. Do I am miles away down the fairway? Um, I will I will seek to find out though. I haven’t looked at her and thought that you’ve been really slow. Um, so I will try and find out, but they are still in discussion as we watch roads from 122 yards. Just going to flick a wedge in here. This back left pin, a green that sits kind of wide from left to right across you. It’s not very deep. [Applause] just didn’t quite get the grab she was looking for. She played it as she wanted, hence the rice smile. Still not a bad shot, but it looks a bit average compared to the shot that Sig Saganda has just played. It’s all going on for Colott. Discussion over now, Sophie there. Yeah, job done. I’ll go and ask in a moment. 60 yards differ between Attorius and Zagand’s T- shots. It’s just a flick. 88 yards. Get the grab. Trying to three good shots, but the star there, Sigandas. And what a fight back it is after that double bogey at the ninth. A good birdie at 10. Looks sure to be another birdie there at the 11th to join the lead once again. But this time, Sugar now company because Shannon Tan is there already at 11 under. Charlie Hall just tidying up. It’s at 13 for her par. No problem. No drop shots on the card today for Hull. She’ll be delighted. She’s going to play the event on the LPGA tour next week. The Kroger. Here is the former Old Miss player from Mississippi State, Kiara Tambellini. Won the NCAA’s with them. What a huge credit she is as well to the ladies European tour. This over at 14 for Selene Boutier. Understand that was her full shot out of the sand there. So that must have been a bit of trouble off the tea for her. This 14th hole is uh seen a lot of uh trees being added to the trees for Houston. this week part of the Arama Houston Championship. Every birdie worth five trees, every eagle worth 10, and we’re getting close to 600 trees that will be planted in the local community, which is uh wonderful news. Lot of birdies and eagles on this par five. So, back to Shannon T. I I take it K because you live in Singapore and I you know I try and read the papers from around the world. She’s a big deal back home. She has led the way for women’s golf in Singapore. She certainly has the first winner from Singapore to win on the ladies European tour. We’re quite we know each other quite well and uh dedicated to the game and she’s also got excellent financial backing and great sponsors behind her that makes it very e well easier for her to be able to play with freedom, not feel the pressure of having to make the cut. But what I meant was what sort of impact has she had sort of like in the news back home? She’s a big deal. Yeah. And she’s popular and they like her and she’s young and she’s friendly and she’s got a first class game to go with it. So is only positive reviews about Shannon back in the Lion City. Yeah. It’s a small city state Singapore and they love to cheer when somebody does well. Yeah. Yeah, cuz you think of the game of golf, mild and mammoth probably has led the way as far as the men’s game was concerned, but in terms of in recent times, it’s been a little while to have uh somebody who’s performed on the world stage from such a small nation state. Yeah. But also with Singapore, they recognize their Olympic athletes. They pay them three quarters of a million dollars if they win gold. So, they love stars. And uh you know for other countries that don’t pay their stars anything if they win gold in the Olympics, Singapore loves to congratulate and celebrate the best that they have. Nura Turio’s looking to join the lead. We know Saganda surely is going to do so in a moment but Nura has got there first. Little spring in the step as she walked that one in. Yeah, a little fist bump too. Senuria Turios moves along Shannon Town. What a round today from Shannon. Seven birdies and an eagle at 14. Lilia Turio’s now alongside us. Carlos Saganda you would think is going to join her in a moment. Charlie Hull just a stroke back. Soheim Cup teammate Sele Boutier within two of the lead alongside her compatriate Nastasia Nadau and the defending champion Lexi Ferling about to have her first top 10 it seems in over a year. It’s been some struggles for the German but first you can see three under par for the round and in a share of ninth place. So this also for the three over at 11. She walks in disgust after that one. [Applause] Tambberini to tidy up. Well, a solid day indeed for Kiara Tambellini. Yeah, that’ll be around a 67 from the Swiss player. So, in good spirits as Carlotta Saganda taps in for another birdie. Back-to- back birdies to start the back nine. And she is back at the top, albeit with company. What a second shot this was in. Judge the release to perfection and the pup was a formality looking to win on the ladies European tour for the fifth year in a row. Well, the rain continues to fall. One or two uh getting up close. An American fan that’s uh looks like been to the Soham Cup. Well, what an afternoon it’s been. It’s going to be a a tight finish, you feel this one at the Ramco Houston Championship. I think he might have just got the call that you’re on TV. Carl lot Saganda looking to keep this charge going. Needs to start charging. She is on the clock. 144 wind into left to right. Same yardage as that first par three that we had and she nearly took the flag out. So, I wonder if she took that same club and that wind just freshened up it with the rain. Is it any colder as well, Sophie? Or is the temperatures the same? It is. You might have to turn down your air conditioning in there. Yeah, I thought it was getting a little chilly. Take your jacket off. So, she aren’t putting any water pros on. So, yeah, Colott is on the clock, but the other two are not. So, I think a tourist is going to have to eight iron here. 144 similar she had into nine and that was a bang on. [Applause] Yeah, nicely done from uh one of our three players. Time for the lead. [Applause] And with this rain, it’s now so important to hit fairways and hit greens. We saw Mimi just hit through the green on 11. She couldn’t mark the golf ball, so it’s getting wet and can’t put the line on it. That was probably a reason why that put never really had a chance. So, it’s 144. It’s playing at least 154 now. He’s really coming down. It was a nice looking swing from Mimi Roads. It just came up a club shy. It’s a case, isn’t it? cuz it’s not cold out, so you don’t really want to put the waterproofs on, Kate. But then again, if it’s coming down this heavy, you might have to. Yeah, if you got a good caddy though, keep that umbrella up cuz you can just swing so much better, so much easier. It’s not cold. You’re only shielding yourself from the wet. Well, look at the way Charlie Hall was able to move that ball out of the rough right to left there. That’s a really good layup from the English player. What you need are gloves. Gloves and towels. A wet afternoon in the lone star state of Texas. That’s how things look right now. You look at that leaderboard. Only Nado out of those six players has yet to win on the ladies European tour. Well, I suppose anything’s possible when Shannon Tan’s over the ball beginning the day in a tie for 39th place. Finds herself in a share of first and this to extend the lead and take it all by herself. Dele going to try and reach in two here at 14. I think she’s leaked it a little bit right. Not happy at all without the French player. At least it came out of its mark there, but that’s going to be a really awkward bunker shot for her. Back to the par 312. Lovely touch. Beautiful. Got the check. Very nicely negotiated from Saganda. She’s up against it though. She’s lost a ball in the tree. She’s been told to get a move on. and she didn’t seem particularly happy that she was being told to get a rigle on. I don’t think many players are, but we need it. Golf needs it. Women’s golf needs it. You know, we got to keep the fans happy. Got to keep them entertained. We can’t have take We can’t have rounds of in excess of six hours. Well, pretty tidy as well from Mimi Roads. But one player in this group has a putt for Verie. It’s Nuria Iturios, the player from Morca. [Music] player has uh spent her time on the LPJ tour. She was uh mixing it up between Europe and the USA for a good four years before deciding the last few years to stick with Europe only just to get to the outright lead for the first time today. Well, she’s in just the position she wants to be alongside Shannon Town at the top. It’s been mistake free so far today from Tan. She’s putted beautifully and that’s a really good save. Solid. Just got to try and post the number. She’ll be finishing before uh the leaders on the other side of the course do. She’s got three to play. Now Mimi roads this to stay at seven under par for Mimi. Oh, Mimi. It’s been a frustrating day for the English player. The rookie had a couple of drop shots around the turn at eight and also at 10. There was that birdie that she had earlier in the day at the sixth hole. But Mimi losing ground when so many of the players on this Sunday here in Houston are finding the birdies. Charlie Hall now with her third at this par five and coming up a little bit shy. So not as close as she would like trying to drone those leaders at 11 under park. Now Saganda missed the green chipped to here. So straightforward putt for a par to keep in that share of the lead on 11 under. But for those of you wondering about slow play, the maximum time allocated per shot is 40 seconds. And it’s 10 extra seconds if you’re the first to play a T-shot. if you’re the first to play an approach shot. So, if you’re the first to play in your group, you’re allowed 10 seconds extra, but generally you got to play your shot within 40 seconds of when it’s your time to go. Delor over the back of the green on 14. This is a fourth shot. She hit it in the greenside bunker. A nicely played chip shot there from Delore. Yeah, that was fabulous. [Applause] So just a par for Pin. Problem was with the uh the second shot, wasn’t it? Played that into the bunker and played it down to where she hit that fabulous chip shot, but as a result, only a par for a player who could reach that par five in two. Still in with the sniff though, isn’t she? Three back. Certainly can’t counter out. [Applause] Par four, 13th hole. Very straight one. Pin is back right here. So to get close to it, you want to be down the left half. Else trees and bunkers will be in your way with the approach shot. would have caught the car path and and that is in some long wet rough for Carlottus Aando. Another one down the right side like was the case at nine which caused us so many issues. Yeah, we found this one though. That was a bad swing. I didn’t think nine was too bad but that was a kind of a push cut there. Notorious next to play. [Applause] That is going right. Well, she was looking as if she may have uh hurt a wrist there. She has had some wrist issues before. Nuria Turios that one further right than uh Siganders. So, I’ll be getting wet feet, weren’t I? Walking in the rough. Got your waterproof shoes on today. I have. Yeah. Yeah. Good. Well done. Always prepared. Sophie shoes on. Been playing down in sort of grande and think and used to this Bermuda grasses roads. Not so much this weather. I would expect fuming. She’s missed a couple of short puts out here today in the final group. That is not what she’d have wanted. Yeah, I don’t think she this one up leftish. Yeah, that’s bounced towards the trees as well. Yeah, she might be blocked out there. Certainly wasn’t like this last week. She went to see a coach in Phoenix, Arizona, trying to get herself adjusted to this week, but much to contemplate for her given the situation. [Music] Well, earlier this week, many her took part in a ceremonial tree planting with trees for Houston. We talked about the birdies for trees. A Ramco and Golf Crest Country Club, part of their pledge to support biodiversity and ecology within Houston. [Music] So for every birdie on the 14th hole, the tournament is going to plant and/or give us the ability to distribute five trees throughout the greater Houston region. It’s my first time planting a tree, so I’m very excited. It’s always nice to have the golf courses to be able to contribute in a nice way to the environment as well. So, we we teach volunteers what to do and kind of how to do it. They feel real accomplished when it’s when it’s all said and done. Hopefully, we plan a lot more with this birdie for trees initiative. So, we wish all the players a lot of luck getting birdies. I’m looking forward to coming back here next time and be like, “Oh, hey, I planted that tree.” Our mission is pretty simple. To plant, protect, and promote trees across the greater Houston region. Trees for Houston. [Music] Yeah, Abby Clark there, the director of development for Trees for Houston, introducing that and this for another five trees and I suppose just as important for a share of the lead and Charlie Hull is amongst the leaders. Started the day four shots off the lead and takes herself to 11 under par and takes us closer to 600 trees donated for the week. Still a few more groups to go through that 14th hole yet. Yeah, it’ be good to break through 600. That’ll be an excellent initiative. Confirmation there. A fourway tie at the top. So Cup stars Charlie Ho Carl Saganda alongside Shannon Tan and Nura Turios. And here is Shannon Tan who’s playing the course the other way round having started the day at two under par. Went off the 10th. Such a hard worker. Shannon grinds away. practice is fully dedicated to the game and the rewards are starting to show. Three holes remaining. She’s nine under par for the round today. Three birdies it would be for a round of 60. Yeah, she’s one of the players who uh did mind the weather conditions earlier in this week with the heat and humidity. So, another Charlie Birdie Amy. I don’t know how aware of what position she is in right now, but it’s a it’s a pretty good one tie for the lead. Well, yeah, there was a scoreboard at the back of 13, so she knew that Shannon Tad got to 11 under. So, yes, I think she is aware that she is either leading or very close to the lead this 15th hole. A long par four over 400 yds. needs to find a fairway here. There’s trees that line left and right. [Applause] Yeah, great drive. No problems there for Charlie. No drop shots today from Charlie. It’s been a very good day at the office. Five under par. Good team as well, those two, aren’t they? Been together for a number of years. She thinks he’s fantastic. Adam Woodward. Well, he had a bit of an extended holiday that he wasn’t expecting after she withdrew with that ankle injury at the PIF London Championship when she slipped on the curb in the car park. Is there a gap here for Mimi Roads? There is. She’s looking down the left. So, she’s got 165 in 145 front. She’s got herself a five iron. Wants to keep this one low. Going to take it towards the TV tower. Little unfortunate. Just got stuck in the gluey wet grass there for Mimi Roads. [Music] Well, I think they’re moving the signage here because it’s in Nur is his line. Is that right, Sophie? I believe so. She just went up to MJ, the referee. He actually drove up up and said, “Right, I’m I’m moving on now. Getting out of your way.” And then she said, “No, not quite yet. I need you.” Uh, she’s got 175 yards. Both balls, both her and Carlotted balls, not not lying well down there. The bunker kind of blocks her. What was talking about with keeping it down the left half of the tea, so she I mean, she’s got to go over it whereas roads could go left of it. So, it’s 165 to cover the bunker, 175 to the pin. There’s some trees to get it up and over. They’re about 60 yards in front of her. And the bunker normally, you would say, would be a bad miss, but with the rain, you just never know if it’ll plug. So, she’s just got the thumbs up from MJ, the referee, that he’s moved that sign. It’s a high risk shot here for Itas. 75 y to a back right pin. [Music] It looks like it’s come up shy of that bunker. There is the ball belonging to the Spaniard. Duturio got caught up with the grass. It’s getting heavier now with this rainfall increasing. Similar equation for Carlos. 20 yards closer and Kot’s got 155 yards. And if this ball was 6 in the left, it’d be not really much of an issue. It’s kind of a weed and it’s sat underneath the the kind of leaves of that weed. It’s not nice at all. So 155 to that pin. Got the same issue with the trees and the bunker short. It’s 145 to carry that bunker. But it’s all about contact here. We’re talking about being wet ground. And this lie, it’s it’s not sat down in thick rough. It’s kind of sat underneath this kind of this weed down this right hand side. You’ve really got no idea how it’s going to come out. I mean, you would think if you’re going to miss, you want to be taking it left of flag. Got the ability to get this up and over though. Go. Well, that’s going to be awkward. Coming over the bunker. So, a few problems amongst the trees this afternoon for Carlotta Saganda. Fairways and Greens. There is nobody better on the ladies European tour than Shannon Tan. And it’s proving to be a winning recipe on this Sunday in Houston is to get to 10 under for the round and is to take the outright lead. Oh, she’s done it. and is making it look very easy indeed. Absolutely brilliant. She’s just staying in her Shannon lane, keeping the focus at 100%. Charlie Holes second on its way to the 15th. That took a big bounce, didn’t it? Don’t think she was expecting that. Well, victory at the Amundi German Masters back in May in Hamburg at the Green Eagle Golf Club. A second win after winning on that debut. Wonderful appearance in Kenya at the start of 2024. This would be the most unlikely of victories for Shannon Tan. Started the day in a share of 39. 10 under for the round, 12 under pass. She leads by one. It’s an extraordinary performance from the player third on the order of merit. Sits just inside the top 100 of the world rankings. I mean, how impressive is that score, Sophie, from Shannon Tan today? 10 under. We’ve got a leaderboard at the back of this screen and we’ve all just spotted that name at the top and she playing a different golf course. That’s kind of what it feels like. It feels like a struggle with this group at the moment. How can anybody be in double figures for the day? I mean, I suppose Colott had her round yesterday, didn’t she? That round of 64. He’s trying to back that up now. So, trouble off the tea. Second shot came out dead on her. So, she’s left herself 40 yards. The lie is a lot better. 40 yards flag, 30 yards to the front edge on this right hand side. Looking to get this one up and down. Settle down. That’s very well negotiated. Lovely touch. Oh, she’s got a short game to lean on. Caddy there. Casey used to caddy for Unhi G for many years. Yeah, Casey new on the back for Carl Saganda this year. 27 yds left. Landing this one on a down slope. Lies good. Came out a little hot. It’s going to give Carlotta a read on that putt. Over to the par 360. Picturous path three. Water all the way down the left hand side. Playing 166 yds today to a left flag. Booty has had six birdies so far. Oh, and that’s going to have to hold up. Have to check in if that is indeed still dry. She’s going to need at least two more. Shannon Tan at the par 38, her penultimate hole of this scintillating final round at Golf Crest Country Club. And she’s given herself another putt for Birdie. Just right on line, not putting a foot long, creating so many birdie opportunities. Well, you look at her stats this year on the LE. 86.9% in driving accuracy, 82.9% in greens in regulation. And you would guess she hasn’t missed a green or a fairway so far in this round. Pots to come at 13. The easiest of puts for road. She hit the pin with her chip shot. She did drop a shot though at the last. She missed a short one there. We didn’t get to see that. So that’s why she’s back at six under. Five back now. You would feel her chances of a fourth win of the season slipping away. And more than that, her position at the top of the order of merit is also in danger because Shannon Tan started the week in third place. With a win, she would have enough points to go above Mimi. Although Mimi will grab her own points depending on where she finishes. It will be close. Well, a very important put now for Nura is to remain one back down, but it’s hard to read. You’re coming down on a spin here on the 13th. Yeah, right. Sophie fell away at the end. So two back of Shannon now for Nuria Turio. What about this one? Car at Centurion and and it it felt like a hard watching somebody just not being able to work out. You know, it was almost want to say heartbreaking for somebody that I know hits it so well. I haven’t felt the case here today. Like she’s looking so much more comfortable on on the greens. Like there is a hole there. Didn’t look that way at Centurion. We saw it just break from left to right. Now, Colott actually had to move her ball marker. So, she’s on that line. Takes that deep before she sets herself and moves into this pot. Well, this is a crucial part you feel at this stage for Saganda. And she is nowhere near that looked like the Saganda with the putter in her hand at that PIF London Championship. And like it she goes back to 10 under par and two a drift of Shannon Tan. [Music] She was four over par through six holes in London. Meanwhile, long birdie pup for Charlie Holl at 15. Second on a ro right now. That was an excellent effort from Charlie. Well, five under for the day, which is great going from Charlie Hull, but in the shadow of Shannon Tan, who is 10 under for the round. Very exciting for everybody in Singapore, but a lot. They’re all in bed with the time zone. 13 hours behind Singapore we are right now. I doubt the Tan fans are in bed. The fans though, majority of them will be waking up Monday morning very excited. [Applause] Well, these two chatting Spanish as they walk around the corner to see Mimi living down in the south of Spain. This easiest hole on the golf course is 14th place half a shot under its part. 47 six is the yardage. [Applause] That looks a good drive. Great opportunity here on 14. It’s a par five 476 it’s playing today. That was a good whack as well on the Aramco energy meter. She went after that one. Nura knows she needs birdies down the stretch. Wind now helping. We’ve had 12 and 13 back into the wind. I suppose that put on the last it just shows how fragile confidence can be. You know, she’s clearly on the borderline with that putting. I said she looks comfortable, but you don’t know what’s going on inside the mine. Three different grips we’ve kind of seen today from Saganda. Find the fairway here. You can go for this in two. Well, that started left and went left. What was that from Carla? And where did that finish? We did not see that from our angle. Problems. Problems for the overnight leader. Well, couple of the drives have gone right. That was the other direction up at the green in two. So, this for eagle for Nastasia Nadau. Well, I think we can put her down for a birdie there. So, that will take her to 10 under part. The young guns making their presence felt. So, another birdie, another five trees donated by the uh trees for Houston from uh the title sponsor Aramco who are US-based here in Houston. Shannon Tan surely not another. No, not this time. That was probably her worst part of the day. And there is plenty of work left in that one as well. Playing with Sarah Kuska who lifted the uh the team trophy yesterday. Charlie Hull on the 16th, the par three. It’s 166 yds today. This pin is 16 yds on and five from the left. There’s a bunker that sits left of this pin. Charlie’s going to want to pitch this six yards short of the green, short of the flag. There is a little ridge that is just feeding the ball down to this pin. It’s in a little bowl. [Applause] Not happy with the contact there and has found the sand. Tomorrow will be one year exactly to uh the start of the Soulheim Cup and to celebrate a year to go to that 2026 Soulheim Cup as part of the ladies European tour sustainability initiative. Ever LT Strum the head of client partnerships at the L has been on a sustainabilitydriven journey from her home in Sweden to Bernard’s golf club in the Netherlands the home of next year’s team event. So she will uh be near the end of that 1,000 km journey, not just on a bike, but also by train, boat, and bus. Well done, Ava Lot. To 16th T again, De Laor now. Want to keep this one right of the pin. Don’t want to come up short. There is water. Oh, and it is a fraction shy. We did see it bounce and the grass is fairly long there. So hopefully it stay dry. Not that anyone’s staying dry today. Well, this is an important part now for Shannon. She’s 10 under. Has a has the lead by one. Oh, and this for it to rain that way. Well done, Shannon. One more hold to come. Currently tracking for a 62. And just in case anyone is watching in the clubhouse, Shannon Tan is allergic to champagne. So should she win, keep the cork inside the bottle. Yeah, I I’ll drink the champagne, Shannon. Don’t you worry about that. Long way to go in this one. Mimi Roads. Going for it. 215 yds front. 231 pin. in that bunker where we saw Varine Delore a little earlier. Although she’s got a slightly easier third to come. That was a strange looking T-shot from Kato. Was she trying to fade that one, Sophie? And it just didn’t fade. Yeah, she always played for that starting down the left, but the face just stayed close. Hung on to it with that right hand. So, kind of pulled it. That’s why it stayed low as well. She’s got 227 flag, but with the lie in the tree in front of her, this will just be like a a pitch out. Not sideways. She’ll be able to get it down there within around that 100 yard mark. So, just looking down the the right hand side here. This pin is is back left. They’re just trying to create an angle for this second shot. Well, much to ponder for Carla Saganda. It’s a an afternoon that’s certainly not gone her way. It ready to go. 205 hybrid. Oh, it’s a fabulous shot from Nura It was just what she needed after that drop shot at the last. Well, you wouldn’t think they’d all be chasing a player who started at the 10th T this morning in Shannon Tan. Started the day eight shots a drift of the overnight leader. But it’s the 21-year-old from Singapore who is out in front. But an opportunity here you feel this par five 14th has played one of the easiest holes on the golf course. The latest uh weather forecast uh suggest that the the showers uh are weakening. We can expect a bit more drizzle until around 4:00. At the moment it’s just gone half past two local time, but conditions uh as a result remain cooler than they have been. A little more comfortable because of the the raining cloud that we’ve had. Well, time to come back. Oh, plug ball now for Charlie. It’s going to be a chunk and run that’s going to have to release down beautifully. And it’s doing just that. This is a very, very skillful shot from Charlie Hull. Well, there is going to be a great significance to that because there has been a change in score for Shannon Town. Started at the 10th and they have changed her score at 13 from a par to a bogey. The scorer there with her got it wrong and they’ve spoken to Shannon and her Simon. In fact, it was a bogey five there at 13. It’s still an amazing round. She’s nine under for the day, but significantly she is now alongside Charlie Hull at 11 under Park. Right. How far in here, Sophie, for Clott? A ton. 100 on. Sounds like the water might have gone into Sophie’s mic there. Well, now Saganda really does need to get a move on here. She’s taking her time a lot over these shots. Well, that’s disappointing. You could hear her exasperated little yell there too, Saganda. Even with her experience, everything she’s achieved, winning is not simple. Mimi coming out of the bunker here. Long way to go for Mimi. You can see here the longer bunker shot is always quite hard. She’s got a lot of green to play with. Is she going to toss it up and get it to nestle down next to the hole or is it going to be more of a chunk and run? [Music] It’s difficult difficult to judge. [Music] Never an easy shot from that length. Still 30 birdie part to come. Charlie Hull hopefully going to knock this one in in a share of the lead and remains that way. Well, what a performance from Charlie Hull. Told that she’d be out for 8 to nine weeks with that tear in her ankle ligament. Back within four. And back at the top of the leaderboard alongside Shannon Tan. One back is Nastasia Nado. There’s a lot to admire about Nastasia Noo. We’ve got two young players right in the mix there. Estzia only 20 years old. Shannon 21 Saganda could be their mom at 35. Well, this is an eagle putt for Nuria Turios. It’s an unlikely one, but it is to leaprog everyone at the top and move into the lead on her own. We have seen some eagles at this 14th including one from Shannon Tan today and Sandra Finalei another who’s eagled this whole in this final around. That’s a lovely putt. Very, very good. Well, it should mean three at the top at 11 under park. We’re over 600 trees now. They’re going to be busy in Houston, that’s for sure. So, a bird to come now forward Turio. That’s going to move to 11 under joining Shannon and Charlie. There’s half Spanish, half Argentina. Dad is from Argentina. Nuria, two wins in Morocco, one in Dubai, one in uh the east coast of Spain at Lassa where Ladies European tour will be in a couple of weeks time. I’m struggling to remember the last fairway that Carlotta Zaganda hit, which is why she’s kind of struggling out here. And you would say it although this is a a birdie put seen her playing partners reach the green in two from right to left needed that shine one back. Yeah. Whenever we watch Carlotta Saganda, whether it was her win in Michigan back in uh June last year when she won the Spanish Open, she got the job done on both occasions, but just made it look really tricky, really tough. Whereas sometimes when we watch her in the Sohham Cup, she just kind of breezes through, puts her foot down. Sergio Garcia remind you of anybody? Yeah. Yeah, very true. Same line here for roads. Take this one just outside that right edge and hit it firm. Oh, that was unlucky. Yeah. Yeah. And you just feel that’s one blow too many for the number one player on tour, Mimi Roads. Five back of the co-leaders and with holes fast running out. Well, two at 11 under par this to make it three. No problems for Nura. [Applause] Very handy birdie keeping their spirits up. That’s a routine. They have practiced her and David Caddy. I wonder what they got if she ends up holding a winning birdie putt. have to step it up, won’t they? And stay stay tuned. There you are. We have hit the 600 mark. That is exactly where we are going to finish. The last group going through 14. So, well done to everyone from the title sponsor. Six trees will be planted in the Houston area. Final hole of the day for Shannon Tan, unless of course she’s needed for a playoff. Now, come on Shannon, let’s hit it close. What a wonderful day it’s been. It’s the hardest hole on the golf today on the golf course today. There have not been any. Oh, there’s been one birdie at the ninth by Amelia Garvey and in fact two. One by Allison Lee, but not easy. Well, Shannon Tan coming towards the end of a quite amazing round. Charlie Hull the world number 10. Nuria Toures looking for win number five in her career. They are locked together at 11 under park. [Music] Seline Boutier coming down the closing stretch. Two back. Carlos Saganda and Nastasia Nadau within one of those leaders. Well, just like the PIF London Championships, it is very hard to pick a winner as we come to these closing stages. Still congested at the top. Here’s one of the contenders, the Turios of 15. Rain has stopped. Sun is starting to come out. Second hardest hole on the golf course. It’ll be a lot easier from the right half of this fairway for Aturius. Great drive. It’s taken plenty of water, hasn’t it? This golf course over the last week. Got to start finding fairways. Carlotta Saganda. Yeah, she found the 10th hole, but the last really good t-shirt she hit was the seventh, which will feel a long, long time ago. Also looking on that right side. Anything left, even left half of the fairway, you’re blocked out by a high tree. It’s a good 60 ft in height. Wind down from right to left here. Yeah, that’s more like it. A club twirl. No problems there for Carlotta. I don’t know, Kate. I think that tree is still in her line. We can see when we get up there. It really is like it’s not just hitting the fairway on 15. It’s hitting the correct side of it. It just moves from right to left around that tree. It’s a bit straighter than we’re going to see. Yeah. But yeah, we’re talking trying to win a tournament, aren’t we? That’s where she’s at now. She doesn’t want to have to maneuver that second shot round. 389 for Roads. This par four that’s down the right needs to come back flight as well for Mimi Roads. Yeah, just getting underneath it at the minute. Just dropping it underneath on the way down. [Applause] These uh PF Global Series events. This the fourth stop of five. The prize fund of 2 million split between the team event and the individual. 500,000 for the team. 1.5 million for the individual. An unlikely birdie. She take two puts from here up and over the slope for Shannon Tan. That’s going to leave a tough par and a crucial one at that for the player from Singapore. Yeah, that’s going to be a knee knocker there that will test her skills. Meanwhile, Nope could join the leaders. just grazes the left edge. Player who really shun on home soil at the Evian Championship, Nastasia Nadau. And it’s, you have to say, been a good week for Sarah Kuska. It’s been a difficult day. She’s playing alongside Shannon Tan. She must feel like she’s been playing a different golf course because while Tan is nine under for the day, she’s five over for her round. But she is going to take home a trophy. Yep. Winner of the team event and uh that’s a nice part to finish with at least. So there is going to be money €30,000 to each of those team players who won yesterday. 32 underpar was the mark her April and Gurusarin and a Bellatz and Sophie Kibskore. But not nice to be out shot by potentially 14 shots by one of your playing partners. You got to take the positives, Richard. Oh absolutely. Well, she’s had an amazing year she said. Yeah, but this is a big pup. This potentially could be of great significance for Shannon Tan. This to set the clubhouse target and post the round of the week. Wouldn’t you know it? Wouldn’t you know it? Tough hole the ninth. It’s a bogey five. It’s a 64 which matches Carlotta Saganda’s effort yesterday. It’s been a fantastic performance for Shannon Tan. But will it be enough? 10 under part. I’d still hang around though, that’s for sure. I’m sure Simon Cory telling from 93 yds looking to wedge this one in close on the par four. It’s a chance for Charlie. We’re here now. Just here in Nuria Aturio’s at 11 and part back to 15 been on 15 is 10 on 11 from the right. And there’s a a grass swale which will just be on roads’s mind. Anything that you kind of miss to the right of this pin, it can just come up there. So you don’t want to be short and right. It is downwind. It’s 160 yards here. It’s kind of just in that first cut. It should come out okay. You just never know with all the tree roots around what’s beneath you. Wind is down from her right shoulder. Just wiping the face there. Looking to not get any water. on that face so it comes out with the correct spin. Eight iron here. It’s a good club wind up there. Looking to keep this left of the pin. Been that kind of day for Mimi Road. So many positive experiences in her rookie year. was so looking for. You can see her limping a little bit there. She talked about the blisters she had earlier in the week. Playing through the pain it seems and it’s very painful when you see your winning opportunities slipping away too. Debilitating with blisters. You can’t even walk. Yeah, she has. She’s been struggling. I’ve been out with her both days and it’s been walking very quick. 149 left for Zaganda. And that tree is certainly in play. It’s about 60 yards away from her right now. Turned it over a fraction. It is on the dance floor. It’s a long way away from a birdie and that’s what she needs to regain the lead albeit a share of it. Occupied right now by Charlie Hull’s got a birdie but to come on 17 and then this player also on 11 under. Good line in. Driven the ball superbly. 131 pitching wedge this. Good looking swing. Oh, it’s a wonderful result as well. All over it from Mtoriios. Well, yeah, she’s got the bit between her teeth now now, hasn’t she? the 29year-old from Morca. Very different to the way things have been panning out over this Sunday for Carl Saganda. Charlie Hull to try and get in front on her own for the very first time today. It’s trying to turn. Not quite enough for her. 10 under in the clubhouse. Charlie gets 11 under par. One hole left to play. Albe it it’s a toughy. She struggled a little bit off the tea at 18 so far this week. Yeah, great finishing hole. Tough driving hole. Okay, Nazia a little shy on this path three. So looking to chip up and in, but that needs to hustle. Yeah, flirted with the water off the tea with the French player looking for her breakthrough win on the ladies European tour. Mastianote Maria Turios looking for her her fifth and Charlie Hall a player we know who is been in the spotlight since she first came on the ladies European tour at the age of 17. Grassy swale a real feature on this 15th hole. Thankfully for road, it’s sat on top of the grass. It hasn’t sat deep into the roots. So, this one will get height. It’ll come out soft, which is what she wants because she is landing downhill and down grain. Wants to pitch this no more than 10 yards in front of her and let it release to the hole. Should [Music] love to play that again. Vin Delore hasn’t had a birdie since the fifth hole. It’s been all pass since then. Make that a birdie though. Nine under. [Music] confirmation of that on the scorecard. Had to stay patient. Big part for Nadau. Yeah, Parart is to stay one back and it’s going to be two shots now. Well, it is the part of her game that I suppose you would call the weak spot. Something she’s working really hard on the Stansion. She looks the real deal. who’s in her third season on tour, even at the age of 20. That’s a disappointing bogey. This green seeps from back to front. So, this will have some movement from left to right. First twoirds of it is up the hill and it flattens out at the end. So, just looking at taking this one down the the left hand side. Oh, beautifully judged. Nice weight on it. Level path for the round. Carlo to Siganda. You look at some of the scores around her. Shantaman with that 64. She shot that yesterday. Charlie Hull five under for the day. Still within her reach, walking away with the spoils. Although it might be made a little tougher if Nuria Turios pops her part in. First though it’s going to be Mimi Roads. Up and down week with the putter. Was great on the first day. Hit it good yesterday. Didn’t make anything. Today she’s missed a few short ones. This one outside right down the hill to save her part. Well, there you go. Wouldn’t you know it rolling in one like that but it’s for par. Well done Mimi. A lot to play for over the closing events this season for Mimi Roads. Shannon Tan. We don’t know where she’s going to finish but maybe closing the gap a little bit on her at the top of the order of merit. But this of significance this one Sophie for Nuria. It is has been eyeing it up from all angles. It’s just outside left this and down the hill. It’s massive. What a moment to strike for Nura Aturios. And she is top of the leaderboard on her own. There comes that celeb again. The smile that’s never far away is wide on the face of the player from Morca. She moves to 12 under park and she is the one right now to catch a up at 18. Charlie Hall will be unaware. She is one back now playing alongside Pin Deort. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] 73% on the energy meter for that one for got to make birdie you feel now Charlie how Amy she does Adam did come over and ask me what was leading and uh not sure if I should run over and tell him that Nura’s just beat birdie Charlie is going with the aggressive play. She’s got driver. She will know what she needs to do though. She knows that a birdie down 18 minimum. There’s a bunker down the right side. She needs to carry at 233. That’s not going to be in play with this club. With her shape, she can take it straight over that bunker, drawing it from right to left. [Applause] Oh, down that right side towards the trees trying to turn in. Needs to get past that tree. Not sure it has. That’s in a tricky spot for Charlie Hull. She has not taken a liking to that 18th T-shot. What a great performance it’s been in her first event since Raw Pour call back on the tea at 16. The leader six iron into the win from 166 yds. Well, saying go. Oh, what a shot from Nura Turas. She’s turning on the style here late on. She is going for the throat. What was uh she saying yesterday? She’s a bit of a feel player. She wants to be more consistent with her numbers, but actually the feelings when you’re in this position, you want to make the most of them. So, can she control that swing thought with those feelings of trying to get over the line? Looks to be enjoying it out here. It’s already got the putter in her hand as roads steps up now. So 166. I would say it’s playing 176. It’s directly into the wind because this flag’s on the the left hand side here. 16 on five from the left. And there’s a slope which brings it in from the right. Also taking dead a Mimi Roads. Great pass over the last and hopefully a birdie coming up for her here which every birdie will count in terms of financially order of merit points. Well, long and straight healthy combination that for Poly Mack for Charlie Hull to be able to be playing her second from down there. Well, Roads went with a five iron which just shows there is that 10 yards of wind up there. Colota can hit six here. [Music] Not what was required for Carl to Saganda. It’s slipping away. You feel right now because her playing partner here at 16, Nuria is looking like a likely winner right now. looking the favorite to get her hands on this trophy. The smiling assassin from Morca, the island of Spain. Great chance for another birdie coming up at 16. Her lead is one over Charlie Holes in the trees down the right over at 80. [Music] They’re running you down the leaderboard there. 69 from the defending champion. Good to see Lexi Firsting putting together a nice performance. Couple of Eagles on the car from Allesandre Finale in her round of 67. Not to be today unfortunately for Christina Napole Alva. Too overpar for her round. Amy Taylor, another player like Napole Alva, who’s outside the top 100 on the Ladies European Tour ranking. So, they really needed a good week. But as Kate was saying, Cream certainly has risen to the top during this final round and you’d include Selene Boutier amongst that. Most certainly. And wouldn’t this be a lovely way to finish for Boutier if this were to go in? is going to drift right at a classy player. Plays mainly on the LPGA tour. Likes playing in these Ramco events, but still 69. Yeah, she debating her title in Shenzen at the PIF Global Series event. The final one to come at Mission Hills. We’ve covered the globe this year, haven’t we? Saudi Arabia, Korea, London, Houston. Five stops, 13 million US injected into the Ladies European Tour. The prize money across these five events. All eyes on the 16th green. Lengthy birdie putt to come for Carlotta Saganda. Two really good looks coming up for Mimi Roads and Nuria. Sophie Walker out there watching this final three ball. You know, it’s not a bad shot in by Carlotta. It’s just that speed bump on the right hand side. You keep it on top of that and then she’s now going to dip up and over it. Whereas the other two, they just turned it into that left pin. So, it’s going to move from left to right in the first fiveT and it’s straight downhill and then it’s going to come back from right to left at the end. This is tricky. It was a right idea and it was a bold attempt from Saganda. We had a lovely look at it when it’s almost like she’s timing her run to perfection here. Nuria, you think about the places where she won. Treeeline Course at Royal Golf Dar Salam. She won twice there in Morocco. Treeline Course at Laaya Resort where she won her last title. And she won under the flood lights, didn’t she, when she won in Dubai. And here we are in the trees in Houston. And this to open up a twoshot lead. Oh, the most glorious sixiron to below the pin. It’s going to come off the bank of the bunker from left to right and then it’s going to hold its line at the end due to the grain. Well, you thought he was going to drop in the left side of the cup and grab the left edge. Well, that keeps hopes alive really, you would say. With uh couple of tricky holes to come for the chasing pack. She knocked that in. Hard to see Nura not taking it from there. Charlie Hall. She’ll love the opportunity this through the trees at 18. Great shot. Found the gap. Crowd liked it, too. Well, she’s given herself a putt for Birdie. That’s the most important thing. Yeah. And that’s to draw up level alongside Itios. got a hole in hand. [Applause] Okay, just a par for Carlotta. Was a brilliant response to the double bogey at nine. If you weren’t with us earlier, a ball got stuck in the tree there that led to a double bogey. You can see the birdies at 10 and 11, but another bump in the road has come for her since and as a result, she is two behind her playing partner and compatriate. This for birdie for roads. What a good two. It’s not going to be Mimi’s day. She has been outplayed by her playing partners there. You see not enough birdies on the scorecard. A few drop shots at 810. Picked up a couple on the back nine, but still it’s a solid showing. We got to remember she’s a rookie only 23 first year on tour already. Three wins. Can’t win them all. Yeah. And hobbling playing in pain as well with those blisters on her feet. Bound to uh bound to not help. So 18th green. Well, Charlie Hull’s going to be on a very similar line to what Pindelor’s got next to play at the back of this green. Going to be downhill. I mean, there’s not too much movement if anything from left to right. It’s probably one of the most straighter putts on the course. Amy, I can see Charlie looking at the leaderboard. Yeah, the Adam actually just came over because the leaderboard was showing something else and he was asking why is the leaderboard not on, but it is now up so they can see the situation. Charlie knows that this putt is of great importance and it is going to need to go in. But the good thing is she’s going to get a good read off delicac. She got lucky with her T-shot. She just missed the tree. She had to keep it under a branch and then get over the next one, which is why it just released to the back of the green. Delic first to play. Yeah, Charlie straight in to have a look at that one, wasn’t she? She’s trying to get all the benefits. It’s come up short, but Hull would have had a good read. Now, I’m sure plenty of you have been watching golf. Not all of you, if you haven’t seen it on social media and elsewhere. The stars of golf normally produce on the last green and Rory Maroy was able to do that at 18 on home soil in Ireland earlier today. Is it going to be a grand stand finish as well for Charlie Hull? Back there in a moment. First to Nado at 17. Green side and two. She’s three back. This needs to go in. And it’s still a very nice shot from the bunker. Yeah, hopefully not that in. Stay at nine under. But it’s all about Charlie Hall. And whether this puck goes in or not, Amy, it’s been a brilliant comeback after injury from Charlie Hull this week in Houston. It certainly has. She spoke about not having too many expectations coming into this week, but what a performance that she has put on. She knows the read is going to move slightly from left to right down the hill, but this won’t be short. I suspect it’s going to be aggressive. Well, having seen the read from Pin de La didn’t really take full advantage of it. That was never threatening the hole for Charlie. Well, if she knocks that in, she will have the clubhouse lead. It’s going to mark it. first event since finishing second at the AIG Women’s Open. She was 11 shots back going into the weekend in Wales. Pushed Miu Yamashta all the way. Here is the leader. She likes it. Oh, lovely. Always a good sign when they pick up the tea early andios creeps into that light fluffy rough but it seems to be lying okay. Yeah, no problems. Three birdies so far in the back nine for a really finding form. Feeling comfortable. Disappointing day for Christina Napolea. Couple over for the round. Desperate for some order of merit points. hasn’t had a top 10 in nearly 2 years since uh she finished runner up in Morca at the end of 2023. Don’t rule out Saganda just yet. Super swing from Saganda. Well, Saganda really needs to go birdie birdie. for a tour to finish par par then we’ve got a playoff back on the 18th t another really good week from Nstasia Nadau she finished fifth on her last start that was at the Hills Open in Sweden she’s going to have another top 10 finish here and probably would take her into the top 10 of the ladies European tour rankings on well this part for park for Charlie on 18 to set the clubhouse lead. Well done Charlie Hull. You never know it may be enough for extra holes. It’s been a brilliant effort in her comeback week. A bogey free round of 67. Her best of the week. Charlie Hall looking stronger by the day. And if it’s not a win, it’s another near miss. Well, that’s terrific. It just shows the golfing skill and the passion that she has for the game. Hardly played, hardly picked up a club. Sideline from London. is gutted not to play, but she’s one of the few players and you can really see how much she genuinely enjoys playing this game. She’ll play until the day she drops dead. Charlie Hull, but thrives in competition. Is it going to be enough? Well, let’s wait and see. Two holes remaining. It’s all to play for. So, the clubhouse lead set by Charlie Hall. Shannon Tan with that 64 finishing at 10 under par. Charlie 67. one shot better off. Still chances you’d feel for Saganda, but as Kate was mentioning, probably needs a couple of birdies, at least one over those closing holes. In the driving seat, there’s no doubt about it. It’s Nuri Aturus who leads the way at 12 under. [Music] Over at 17, Mimi Roads 128 yds plays half a club up the hill. Nine iron. Super nine iron as well from Mimi. Hasn’t fired on all cylinders in the final round. Is one over par today. There’s been a couple of twos on the scorecard, but around the turn, the young English woman struggled. Three dropped shots. Great hole with the 17th. You can cut off the corner if you want to, Sophie, with the drive. The longer hitters can. The tourist was just slightly straight, but this right pin coming out of the rough, you’d think it would release. The lie is good. It’s 108 yards, but she’s going to land this on the down slope beyond the bunker. Fabulously played by Nur Turios. The winning line is getting closer. That was a brave shot as well. Was right at it. Got to try and get inside of that. Yeah, this group got put on the clock on 16 T- box, all of them. So, they’re moving from 95 yards into a bit of wind uphill, playing 100 to this right flag for Saganda. Super shot from Saganda. Well, that is inside. That does give her a sniff of a chance. Well, should she pop that one in. And Nura, here she is, the leader, all by herself, looking relaxed. Well, Nura will be putting first for Birdie there significantly. Called her the smiling assassin. And it’s not just when she’s leading like she is today that a smile’s never far from her face. Says she likes to smile because she likes to separate golf and life. She thinks the happier you are and you seem as a person, the stronger your character. That’s what her mom told her. And I love that about her. Should be a very popular winner indeed. This is the scene down at the 17th green where all three players have good looks coming at birdie including the leader Nura Turios. Now Nastasia Nado second shot into 18. And it was a solid drive. Clear look. It’s quite a testing drive on the 18th. And it’s a lovely result as well. What a good showing it’s been from the young French woman. Three French women in the top seven. Couple of Spaniards, a Singaporean, and an English woman. Sounds like the start of a joke that one. I wish I had a good punchline for it. Well, I think it’s Nura to pop first here for Birdie, albeit it’s uh not one from too far away. Three great shots. You can’t see this pin because of the uphill and it’s blocked by the bunker. This one just heals itself from left to right. Got to take it outside of the hole as well. this to put the pressure on for Birdie for Attorios. Well, this may be to put it beyond. It’s a huge three. A bit of magic from the Morcan and she moves to 13 under par. Three birdies in four holes. timing it to perfection. And she knows exactly where the TV cameras are as well. Looking for them, smiling. Oh, you can’t take that smile off her face. That was superb. That was gutsy, wasn’t it, Sophie? Yeah, it really was. She a good put on the lass. It didn’t drop. She’s just looking like she’s enjoying it. Enjoying this moment. next to go. This is just taking care of that right edge here. A slower put from this angle, but certainly moves from right to left. Two down, one to go at this 17 for this three ball. Well done, Mimi Roads. Moves her a little bit further up the leaderboard. Couple of birdies for her the last two holes. limping to the finishing line. Not long now, Mimi. That’s significant in terms of the order of merit though. What she’s doing there into the top 10 or to give herself any chance. Carlottus Aandanda has to hold this. It will mean she’ll go to 18 two behind Nur Turios. Anything in this one? It’s on the same line as road. She just moved her ball marker back. So on that right edge, let’s have three birdies on this 17th hole. Yeah. Filling it up. Three fabulous threes all to play for down 18. It’s not a done deal. Nuria’s certainly control. Playing beautifully. Three birdies in those last four holes giving her a twoshot lead. Nothing more Charlie Hall can do. But Carlotta playing alongside her is only to a drift. The final drive is crucial. It’s a testing drive on 18. Trees left and right. It slopes and gently moves around to the right. You’ve got a bunker down the right hand side as well. Certainly going to be a tester for Atulio. It’s a two-shot lead that she has. She looks like she’s having a great time, but I think beneath that smile that’s been ever present on her face throughout the course of this round. She’ll be feeling it, the nerves. The last win back in 2023. Yeah, this is a player who’s had her ups and downs. Couple of wins I mentioned in Morca in her early stages of career. Then she went into the uh into the wilderness a bit after she won that LA Mariam Cup in 2018. She really really struggled, but she’s fought back well. Picked up a few more wins since and now she’s a par four away from win number five on the Ladies European tour. But it ain’t easy. And only 56% of players have hit this fairway. It sits across you going with driver. So looking to take it over the bunker on the right hand side which is 232 carry. [Applause] She’s heading for those trees down the right. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Not entirely sure the line that she’s got in. I think she’s got away with it. Depends on those overhanging branches. Water short of the green as well. Yeah, Mimi Roads went into the water here at 18 yesterday. Made a fighting five in the end. That fairway that moves from left to right. The bunker on the far left. It’s 260 yards to it. Wind is helping from left to right. Driver for roads. Looks to be a better line for Mimi Roads. That’s going to be a clear view into the green. Well, she needs a bit of assistance. Carlo to Saganda. She has to make birdie. She has to, I suppose, hope, if that’s the right word, that Nura Turios drops a shot here if she’s going to have any chances of winning this Aramco Houston Championship. Well, she’s been given a slight bit of hope, hasn’t she? We don’t know. It’s down the right hand side. We saw it bounce, but Notorious has missed this fairway. So, you know, there is a chance of making bogeies. And Colott is thinking birdie, but you have to hit the fairway. If you hit the fairway with this driver, she’s got 100 yards in. She’s got a chance to go at the flag just like we saw on 17. But you must find the fairway. Start it down the left half and have it just move from left to right down this fairway. This slight dog leg [Applause] be good. she said and good it is. That is a perfect T-shot from Carl to Saganda. This isn’t done yet. Bouncing the step for Nuria and quite rightly given the way she has been playing down the stretch up on the tea. No birdie for Nastasia Nadote. Been an excellent final round 69 from her. Another top 10 finish for the young French player and another runner-up finish potentially for Charlie Hall who’s been speaking with Gabby Partington. Charlie, well done. What a round of golf and what a comeback. A bogey-free round of 67 for the final round here in Houston. How did you play out there? What does this mean to you? Yeah, I played A1 golf all day to be fair. Like I played really well and um I hit some nice shots coming in. Um, I made a good par on the last. I was trying to go for the put, but it just didn’t break. But yeah, I feel pretty solid, especially with like my injury and just coming out. Didn’t even think I’d play well this week to be fair. So, I’m looking I’m happy with my result. So, it’s pretty good. You mentioned your injury. To come back the way you did after a month out and, you know, 13 days of not actually playing any golf. Does this just show your your resilience mentally and physically and where you’re at at the minute? Yeah, to be fair, like I had 13 days without hitting a golf ball and the next week and a half, I wasn’t actually meant to be hitting like full shots and probably doing no more than like 20 minutes a day, but I just went out and just smashed like five or six hours a day practice. I didn’t really listen to them, but my my my foot’s pretty good, but I was doing all my rehab stuff and I just listen to my body and I feel pretty decent. So, yeah, I’m pretty happy. It’s a little bit sore now. I twinged on the golf course walking walking over a tree route, but no, it’s um I’m pretty happy. You do have the clubhouse lead as I mentioned, waiting for a few more players to come in. Do you think you’ve done enough and what you going to be doing waiting in this time? I think I’m two two shots behind the the lead. It’s easy hole, the last hole. It’s a easy birdie hole. So, it’s not enough today, but I’m looking forward to Cincinnati next week and just going forward. I’m about to say coming back after your injury, the way that you’ve playing, you’re back to the LPJ next week in Cincinnati. So, the way your games at the minute, does that put you in goodstead? Yeah, definitely 100% and um yeah, it just feels pretty good and just want to say a shout out to TB. Best of luck. Cheers. There you go, TB. You got a shout. It’s an easy hole. Is it? If your name’s Charlie Hull, it might have been an easy hole, but uh I’m not sure for the rest of us mere mortals. Nura taking the walk down towards her ball here. I make that now backto-back finishes for Charlie Hull. Should she finish where she is on the leaderboard second and a 16th runnerup finish in her career. So, I’m sure Sophie’s had a a look at this. We’re getting a look at the angle. What do you make of this one? I don’t think it’s that great. That tree is right in her way. The overhanging trees. She’s inside a hundred yards. And yeah, might be easy for Charlie, but Noria has got some uh thinking to do. And the fact that she will be last to play, that’s going to help her. You probably see where Colotta puts her shot and then then go from there. Is it starting to rain again? It’s never completely stopped. There’s only slight bits of rain. We’ve got lucky. It’s, you know, main part of Houston that got a deluge. So, it’s just skipped past us and broken up as it’s come past us. So, we’ve got lucky today. It’s cracking finishing hole, isn’t it, Sophie? This, you know, it requires a good drive. I know Charlie says it’s easy. She still had to hit her second shot out of the trees. Um it really does get your attention off the team. Not for Mimi Roads though because she’s taken it down the left side and has a clear view of her second. Yeah, but remember yesterday even the order of merit number one will be thinking of that. I’m sure she hit it in the water. I think it’s because there’s this popular spot there’s some divots down there. She hasn’t got herself in a divot, but she’s on a slight downs which is never easy when you’re hitting a wedge and it’s it’s 119 yards, so it’s a longer shot than yesterday. We’ve got that false front pin is front right. The ball below your feet. You’re looking at this is going to just straighten the shot. Normally she moves it from right to left. This will be held more straight. Wedge from 119. A very good wedge dancing around the pin. And a look at a three. Frustrating day for Mimi. Those birdies didn’t eventuate. Coupled on the closing stretch of holes, but a little bit too late. But still her and Doug having a good time. Well, we know Sophie that Carlotta loves a bit of match play. And this is a match play scenario, isn’t it? If she can knock this in tight, just increase a little bit of pressure on the leader. It’s 88 yds. It’s a good number for Zaganda. This flag 11 Lebanon and in the center just three quarter this one. Try and take the spin off it. 85 yds pin 74 carries the bunker. Must avoid those tree branches. Going to run to the back of the green. It’s going to be okay. Yeah, she’ll be happy with that. Nuratio, it’s dry. It’s uh just off the putting surface, but she knows two putts from there would guarantee her the victory. That was a very difficult shot to play. Amy Bordon comes back into the commentary box because she had to get it over the water. She had to keep it under the trees and there’s a bunker at the back of the green and when this much depends, you know, this is a championship winning shot to play. That took nerve and skill. She’s got a couple of audio issues with Amy. She’ll be back with us in a second. But really, very difficult. It was a half wedge shot as well. It was not easy. She made it look that way. Well, the crowd giving her warm applause and she’ll give them lots back as well. With that smile, that enigmatic smile that Nura has had throughout the course of her career. Fans love her for very good reason. [Applause] Well, it’s in her hands. Norurio’s eyeing things up here at 18. She will be first to go. It’s in a very similar position, Sophie, to where April Anguraserani sealed things in the team event yesterday for team Kuska. I’ll let you do the read then cuz I didn’t see that one. Downhill left to right, Richard. Yeah, that’ll do it. Yeah, I don’t You really don’t need to worry about the pace. You can see that she’s stood high on that bunker. Now it drops in to this front right pin. And she’s missed on the correct side. Like Kate was saying, she’s got plenty of room there. You would have wanted to miss short in the bunker, right? Opting for the putter, which is the correct option here because you’re coming through some fringe, but it’s downhill, so it shouldn’t really make too much difference. Getting the pace correct on this one, cuz it’s just going to want to get away from you. It’s one of the quickest putts on the golf course. And it’s going to move about a foot from left to right here. Two pots to seal the deal for Nura Itriio. cozy down beautifully. What a performance this has been. Yeah, she knew exactly what to do on this hole, didn’t she? With that second shot, she needed to play the percentage shot, playing it to that back left side. And when you think Sophie, she went in the water at six. She thought then her chances may be slipping away, but she hung tough. Bad break, I suppose, for Carlos Aandanda. The way her ball got stuck up at the tree at nine, but Nuri has come out here and and grabbed it. She has, especially from the 14th hole. She hit that hybrid into the heart of the green. Two puts, birdie, and then a couple of, you know, shots that you’re going to remember that one into 16, the pot on 17. There’s a there’s a time where you’ve just got to take your chance and she’s done that today. Bearing in mind she’s playing with one of the best players in the game, Carlotta Saganda, compatriate older than her, is arguably more successful than her. So to outjul Saganda down the stretch and as Sophie said with those three birdies in the last four holes, mighty impressive. this to finish with three birdies in a row for Mimi Roads. So close, but another good week. Another week that cements her position at the top of the Ladies European tour rankings. It’s a top 10. Closing round of 72 given the pain in her feet. A very good display from Mimi Roads this week. Can Carl Saganda just finished the day on a high disappointing day? Well, it’s been an adventurous round for Carlotta Saganda with that lost ball on nine. She also then got a a t a warning for being too slow on the back nine. She had to contend with quite a lot. But this now Bley at 17 and now one at 18 to move into second place all by herself. It’s going to move from left to right down the hill. needs to stay up not to be high hopes of a second win in the USA in 2025 after her victory at the Maya LPJ Classic in Michigan in the middle of June. She was the one to catch coming into this final round. But it was really, I suppose, significant that T-shot at nine when the ball got stuck up the tree that led to a double bogey that ultimately took things away from her. This for the closing par and a round of 71. Well, she’s come into this week with four missed cuts in the last few events. So, she’s found form this week. Her fiance James said, “Ah, I’m really not fancing her chances.” But hasn’t she played well? She’s been in contention throughout the course of the day. She’s had the lead. She’s lost it. And this now to finish on 11 under par alongside Charlie Hull and in second place. kind of feel a bit like last year when Charlie Har and Colottus Aanda you would say were favorites to win and a certain Lexi Ferling pit them to the post. This time round it’s going to be Nura Itas the smallest of putts for victory. Houston not a problem for Nuria Turios she is the champion. I think she’s going to need something stronger. [Applause] What a lovely smile. The winning smile from Nurio Turios, the Aramco Houston Championship winner. A final round of 68. Enough for a twoshot victory. And what a popular winner she is. the Spanish playing partners. Look at them all on the green. She’s a very popular winner. She is. It’s always good to see someone that’s smiling out on the golf course. Doesn’t matter how she’s playing. Well, I mean, earlier this week in the pro, the players that played with her said it was the best round of golf they’ve ever had. Uh she makes everybody feel at home. Popular with the fans, popular with her peers as well. Well, there’s no doubt about it. She was the smiling assassin on this Sunday in Texas. Nuria, the 29year-old from Morca, emerges as the victor. And I think we can hear from the champion right now. She’s alongside Gavin. Massive congratulations. You are the winner of the Aramco Houston Championship. Look, your first win. The crowd know what it means. You love the crowd. They love you back. Your first win on the PIF Global Series. What does this one mean? I don’t know. I’m really happy. I can’t explain my feelings neither in English even worse. So, but thank you very much for everything. And I don’t know. Thank you. Just quickly, we’ve got to talk through your round because you didn’t make it easy for yourself at times, did you? We look at the six, but the way that you bounce back from that under pressure, huge amounts of composure. Just how proud are you with the way that you dug deep and got through here to the end? Yeah, with my Kai, we have been working a lot through the year. I’ve been a couple of times up there. So, that’s for him also. Of course. Of course, it is a team effort indeed. Well, I mentioned team. It was a top five in the team. Now, you’ve clinched the individual. It’s a pretty good week for you, Nura. Yes. Yes. I’m really happy. I we almost got it with Cassandra, Allesia, and ah I can’t remember and Antisha, but it was really good. Yes, your fifth win on the ladies European tour, but as I mentioned, your first win as part of the PF Global Series. You’ve played plenty of these events. I know you love them so much. Plenty of vamises throughout the day. So, just tell us particularly how special is this one on top of everything else. Wow. I was really looking forward to to win some of these events because I I have won with a team with Pauline as a car as a sorry as a team as a captain. Uh but yes, it’s really special even here in in the US that I’ve been trying to get to the LPGA and knowing that I can play these courses good. So, this means a lot. Thank you. Lastly, how will you celebrate? Well, I don’t know. I have to catch a flight tomorrow to Switzerland, so we’ll see. We’ll celebrate on the flight. Very well done, Nuria Tio, your champion. [Music] And she really is a global player. Dabby mentioned the four victories for her for the five wins for her. That’s five wins in four continents, having won in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and now in North America. those rounds of 6867 68 enough to give her a twoshot victory over the Soulheim Cup stars that are Charlie Hall and Carlotta Saganda. Great effort as well from Shannon Tan in this final round. But Houston, it belongs to Nura Gtoriios. Really was a great effort today from from Shannon Town, wasn’t it? When you you know, you start the day just inside the top 40 and you threaten to win a bogey at the last, but a great round of 64 nonetheless. Yeah, eight under round that golf course today. It was difficult conditions. I know the girls have, you know, they’ve they’ve teared it apart all week, but an eight under par in them conditions today. The rain was really falling and it got difficult, but so eight under 64 was just so impressive. But focus on the winner here in Nuria Turals. You know, we’re talking about a player that’s been on tour a long time. I mean, her first win, what came back in what 2016 in Morocco. She’s had her ups and downs as players do, but you know, to win five times now on tour, that, you know, takes her up into the the upper echelons of of of victors in Europe. Yeah, she’s been a player that’s been consistent for a long time. her first win coming back in 2016. She won twice in 2019, her last win in 2023. And now it just shows that she’s played consistently for the last nine years. What do you make of the comeback today, Kate, of Charlie Hall? She she seemed very happy with her week’s work, albeit she’s come up one place short of potentially winning here this week. Charlie knows exactly what she’s got to do, and Charlie’s only interested in finishing first, and I think that’s a huge advantage. She’s not worried about um order of merit, world ranking points. She wants to win trophies. And when you can just put your foot down in the final round without worrying about the consequences. There’s this saying that you know, you practice like it means everything and play like it means nothing. And that is the epitome of Charlie Hull. That’s what the great players are able to do. It’s the ones who are able to execute the shots coming down the stretch. Charlie’s going to win again. and she’s going to win a lot because she genuinely loves and thrives in this pressure situation because she doesn’t care. And when you’ve got that attitude, that winning attitude, it is going to pay off. So, it bodess well. The LPGA is going to be playing next week. But, um, it’s been very good considering she’s hardly played. I do worry though when she said she tripped over that tree stump and has maybe hurt. She’s a bit accidentrone, isn’t she? Well, yeah, I asked her about that. She said, “Yeah, I’m very, very clumsy. It runs in the family apparently. and sister’s just as bad as she is. But hopefully fitness wise, she stays fit because, you know, she’s an exciting player to watch, isn’t she? She is. She’s been struggling with her back. I I know after the first round, she was holding on to her back on that last on the 18th T-shot and she’s had an MRI on it. She’s got some cysts at the bottom of her bottom of her spine. So, she’s been told by her trainer that she’s not allowed to lift any heavy weights now for forever, she said. Um Oh, no. Yeah. And she said she’s okay with it. She’s going to do some Pilates and um she’s got the reformer now, isn’t she? She said she said her new um her trainer is also a Pilates coach. So that’s what she’ll be doing. Love it. Confirmation of how it finished here at this Aramco Houston Championship. Nura Aturios taking the title with a round of 68. Hit the front with those three birdies in four holes. Starting at the 14th, usurping Shannon Tan and Charlie Hull at the top of the leaderboard. Carot Saganda who led for so long after that 64 yesterday from her in the end having to settle for a final day 71. So this is stop four of five on the PIF Global Series across three continents. Nura Aturias joining these stars as champions on the series in 2025 shot and in it goes for a lovely birdie there for the South Korean. Can the captain provide one as well? Think you can, you know. Fantastic. Our team captain, Somi Lee. Congratulations. What a start to the season. Such a beautiful swing. And a great result. Wow. Fantastic. [Music] Starting the new year as she ended the last winning ways for Gino Titan. [Music] Hold your Oh, it does sneak in the side door. That’s a great part there from Schmidt. What a birdie that is. 2025 team champions. Team Kuska. [Applause] That is excellent. And it’s getting better and better. Poor Hoju Kim. Yu Kim does it again. This wonderful start to 2025 continues. [Music] What a mark. How about that? And what a time to strike for Megan Dennis. That is extraordinary. From first reserve to surely champion. [Music] Right about there, peppering the pin. That’s superb from Funuk. From early despair to ultimate joy for Laura Funuk. Yeah. Yeah. And added to the victories this week is team Kuska, April and Gerisarani, Annabelatz and Sophia Kibskore Nielson winning the team event. And then today, Nuria Aturio’s grabbing the victory here in Houston. 68 her round today. Had some bumps in the road, but let’s look back at how she got the job done. Front nine, she went in the water at six, but went to the turn one under. I made a lovely birdie at the 11th. It was a par on the 10th. I was right in the mix. Had a share of the lead on 11 under par at that point. Dropped a shot at 13. And this is for birdie on the par five. That was for Eagle. Yeah, two parts for a birdie to get herself uh on the move because it was at this point of the course where she really started to put her foot down. Beautiful birdie at 15. Came close to another one at the path three 16th as well. hold a good few feet of putts today. Got that post birdie celebration down pat as well with her caddy. Super T-shot here on 16 signature par three at Golf Crest. Boom. Unfortunately, she didn’t make the putt. Then she went on to 17. This is a second shot from this right hand side. should have had her heart in her mouth at this point cuz it just crept over that bunker. Took the direct line, the tiger line in. And remember, Carlos Aanda was close and that was crucial. Get the first birdie in first and it meant she had a two-shot lead to take up 18. She was in a little bit of trouble down the right side of 18. Had to maneuver this shot. That was a very clever shot to play, Amy, under the circumstances. Yeah, it certainly was. That was the percentage shot. She rolled it down to here and that was the per for the win. Well, she started the week 28th on the order of merit. Nuria Aturios, she’s already had three top fives before she came here to Houston. And that victory from her today will take her just outside the top 10. She’s had a time on the LPGA tour. I wonder whether she fancies another shot at it. last few years she has concentrated on the edit. [Music] So all that’s left to do is for her to get her hands on a fifth ladies European tour trophy. Well, very good afternoon to you and welcome to the presentation of the Aramco Houston Championship. Yes, everyone’s eager here. Part of the PIF Global Series. What a week it’s been here in Texas. And I’m delighted to announce we have our individual champion of 2025 with a total score of 13 under par from Spain, Nura Itios. [Applause] Now, before we hand over the trophy, as we’re all eager and awaiting to do so, it’s time to acknowledge our presentation party. First of all, Chris Kul, vice president and general counsel, Aramco Americas, and of course, Dalia Coutura, chief demand officer from Gulf Saudi. Now Chris, if you wouldn’t mind doing the honors, please to our champion here in Houston Nuria. [Music] Well, a smile’s never far from her face, but she’s got every reason for that big grin here this afternoon. Congratulations, Nuria Aturios. Has there been a happier winner on tour? Has there been a more smiley winner on tour this year? It’s lovely to see, isn’t it? She’s always got a smile on her face. It’s so nice to see. Making me smile in the commentary box. Infectious. Well, there’s confirmation of how it all finished. Another good week for Nastasia Nadau. Waiting for confirmation, but I think that will take her into the top 10 of the rankings. Pin Deacort, another French player who is in the top 10 at the start of the week after winning in South Africa. Muria Turres taking the team title here in Houston. But these PIF Global Series events, we have two trophies up for grabs of course every single time. And yesterday the glory, well that belonged to team Kuska. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] What a big part now for team Kuskova as this is a part to take a share of the lead. Oh, and no problems there from April Angoras. Team Kuska looking to make some progress. And Sophie Kibscore Nielson rolls in a birdie to get to two under par. Oh, beautiful birdie at 12. She’s having a really good day. [Music] Got a chance. Got a great chance. It’s in. What a moment for April Anurasani. And suddenly team Kuska are in the driving seat. Our winning team, team Kuska with the 2025 trophy here in Houston. Congratulations. [Music] Behind the music. Yeah. Congratulations to Sarra Kuska the team captain and her playing partners April Anguraserani Anna Bellat and Sophia Kibskore Nielson taking the team trophy in Houston here 32 under par by one from team roads and team boutier. So first time for the ladies European tour in Houston aim it’s been a fun week hasn’t it? It absolutely has. I’ve absolutely loved my time here in Houston. My first time and I think a lot of the girls first time as well. It’s been um it’s been a fantastic week, a fantastic golf course and we’ve had tight finishes, haven’t we? In both the team events and the individual always somehow these PIF Global Series events produce. Well, they produce a stellar field. You look at some of the Golf Sally ambassadors that play. You’ve got Charlie Hall, you got um Carloto Saganda and then look at these upcoming stars. Shannon Tan, 21 years old. Nastasia Nadau, a top 10 finish for her at only 20 years old. They’re both winners on tour in the team and individual competitions. And it’s exciting to see because it’s so close and each day this is a new golf course for these players. They didn’t know what to expect coming in, but each day they got better and better. And that 64 from Shannon Tan, that brilliant flurry of birdies. And this winning puck from Aturios has capped off a brilliant week. Magical for the Morin. A champion again two years after her last victory on the Ladies European tour. Another follows here in Houston. Mimi Rhodess amongst those to lead the celebrations. A lovely hug with her caddy David as well who she paid tribute to in her winning interview with Gabby. You know, you feel there are some players that might celebrate, some will just, you know, think that’s been a good good week and and plan the next one. I’d love to be part of her her celebrations. We’re flying back tonight. Unfortunately, we’re going to miss that. So, Amy, yeah, Ivy and I remember from amateur golf, she likes to party. So, I I would love to be out celebrating with her. That’s for sure. Well, she says she got the flight to catch to Switzerland. She’ll be feeling confident going there. She’s played well there in the past. And then it’s off to Lasa Golf Resort where she got her last title in 2013 when she beat a certain Laura Funstuk who won the last PIF Global Series event in London in a playoff. So, good time for her to be feeling in good form and good confidence because she’ll be feeling she can add to this win over the next few weeks for sure. And I think that’s the biggest, you know, that’s the biggest come out of this week is that confidence that it’s building. You know, she’s not won for a couple of years going into Switzerland, then going into her home country Spain. She’s going to be expecting a lot a big finish now to the season after that. Yeah, she’s worked really hard, Kate, on her mentality that she said, you know, she’s worked on a swing, but also that mentality side of things that sometimes it’s a weak, sometimes it isn’t. And I think we saw the reaction to that ball going in the water at six. She didn’t let her head drop here. She just pushed on and ultimately got over the finishing line. And it’s that bounceback ability of the very good players. They’re the ones that lift the trophies come day’s end. They are the ones that still have that belief that you got to play 18 holes, you can’t give up after a poor shot. and that experience that she’s got as well. She’s also 28th on the order of merit and that’s going to change with 500 points. So that’s going to help her campaign coming down the final stretch of events. Yeah, I just mentioned she’ll probably be just outside the top 10 now trying to push into that top 10 and a decision then does she go to Q school in the US. She’s been there before. She’s played the LPGA Tour, but maybe time to give it another shot. I I think so. It’s interesting to see what her decision will be if she gets into that top 10, but I can imagine with, you know, how good of a player player she is and she’s plays well all over the world. I can imagine she’d definitely want to be going over to the LPJ and competing over there. Well, congratulations to team Kuska taking the team event and to Nuria who today has taken the individual title. The ladies European tour is next after Switzerland. But from all of us here in Houston, bye-bye for now. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music]
