We Played Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course – Here’s Our Thoughts

All righty. We just landed in Spokane, baby. Spokane. Did you know that it’s Spokane and not Spokane? I did. Got about 40 minutes to Celerane. Um, play the course there and then, um, we’ll drive back here to Spokane where we’ll stay the night and then in the morning we’ll drive to Brewster and I think we have a tea time at Gamble Sands at like 3:30. So, play Gamble Sands tomorrow, play Gamble Sands the next day, and then we’re going to preview play the Scarecrow, which is going to be incredible. Um, but we’re really excited. A lot of golf. Lot of golf. Lots of me shooting in the 70s. Them shooting maybe low 90s. Say originally we planned the trip to go just to Gamble Sands and then we looked and noticed that Carter Lane was like 45 minutes from Spokane where we were flying into like go play that bucket list for sure. And even farther back then when we um when we contacted Gamble Sands and was like hey we want to come check out Scarecrow, check out Gamble Sands, we just had a packed summer and for whatever reason we weren’t able to work it out. So we’re like ah maybe we’ll get out there sometime in the future. And then about a month later after sitting on it, we continued to see like kind of content from it on YouTube and on Instagram and we got together like we got to figure out a way to make this work. So shifted things around the schedule a little bit and uh super pumped that we made it work. So um epic going to have a good time. You get noticed I I realized our footage you just see dirty window time at 2:30. Is he coming? dropping trout right in the middle of the resort. I’ve done that though. Because they always make you take they’re always like make sure your range finder’s out of your bag. All right, boys. Head on a swivel. Andrew, first first swing with the mini driver. It looks like a normal size driver. It looks small. be duck hook. This gu is probably up there like golly, it’s going to be a long day. Oh no, that’s gonarrhea. No, hit the tree and stop. Yeah, there. So, we got a par4. That’s kind of a target hole. You’re probably going to want 200 off the tea from the blues. I bet the back of the bunker. All right. No. Five holes in. It’s freaking awesome. It’s in like really good shape. Um it’s kind of fun. Like we start off with dog leg right then and we got a dog leg left. So, it mixes up a little bit. Um, holes haven’t been too similar, which keeps you on your toes and just beautiful views right here. It’s pretty sick. These views are hard to beat. Yeah, there’s been a couple holes like this. This is like the second or third hole kind of overlooking the water. How are the greens? Greens are fast. Greens are fast as hell. Yeah, they’re fast today. It’s also really nice out. Like, it’s like perfect weather. It’s not too hot. It’s not too cold. Yeah. Oh, he’s back. That’s money. How are we feeling, boys? Great. Yeah, good after I pissed on that drive. Peter Pipered. Thought so far, Bo? It’s so good. So many holes like this. We’re on hole 13. Just about to get to the island hole. We just finished a par4 that has a what is it like 312 yds to the pin. And we all thought we were going to go lay up, but we all went driver and had great shots. Is this on a track? Yes. I was going to say, wow, this is staying pretty straight. Yeah, you’re great. You shouldn’t admit that. I should be like, no. Well, I can just drive without steering. So, the distance of the green can vary from up to like 210, right? Yeah. The green’s on a road and you can see some buoys out there. Thank you. like the ownership of water works, but when you can see all these buoys out here, I mean, they can throw this island pretty far back and just like the boat. I mean, it’s on a cable. It’s on a system. So, if they really want to stretch it out, they move the actual island. Oh, and the whole pier comes with it. Yeah. It’s pretty cool. It was built in 1991, so it’s been around a while. Got a couple putts at this. Oh my goodness. Oh no. Oh no. Five. Not to do. I hit it into two different bunkers and I made it out with a bogey. So I’m happy about that actually. Wow. It’s really good. So good. Are out here on hole 15. just finished up the Island Green Hole. Um, this course, it’s pretty dope, honestly. It’s like a Parkland style, but then you’ve got like the lake there, so you’ve got a couple holes running the lake. Um, you got some elevation change. Greens are freaking hard, but that’s that’s kind of where you run into trouble on the greens. We just finished up at Cordelane. What are you guys thoughts? It’s really not that tough of a course, but the greens were very, very fast. And so I think that the greens gave us most of our trouble, I would say. Yeah, I liked it. I thought it was a really fun course. I like that it wasn’t super long, but there was still enough like strategy that needed to be had. Um, easy enough to where you feel like you should play pretty well and it’s not unfair, but you can still find yourself in some trouble if you’re not hitting the ball well. I think you can definitely score well to that point. Like, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t play and come out with a good score. Yeah, it wasn’t like annoyingly difficult or anything like that. So, that’s good. No. And then they would have like more difficult holes, but then the following like three holes were very getable. Like I feel like there were a couple drivable par4s. The first par five, hole one is like a very getable par five. We were just coming from the airport, so it did not go well for us. Well, we came from the airport and we did not hit the range. We didn’t have time and all of our T- shots were terrible. Not good. Really embarrassing. It was bad. Embarrassing with the four caddy there. He was just like, “Oh my gosh, these guys might suck.” Uh, and then hole 14 was sick. It’s pretty fun to play that in person. Um, definitely like it’s in great condition. What was it playing today for us? Like 155, 160, I think, with the wind. Yeah. So happy. it wasn’t like near the 200s cuz that would be very very difficult. But really fun. I was going to say along with that it’s like if it was it it was hard to land anything on the green today because it would just roll right off that. It was it was very firm which we haven’t we haven’t been used to in a while. Yeah. That’s our excuse. Oh yeah. After our round, we decided to go to a local spot that was recommended to us by our caddy called Crafted. And honestly, it did not disappoint. So, highly recommend this spot after your round. Overall, 10 out of 10 experience out of Quarter Lane. The next day, we headed out to Gamble Sands. And trust me on this one, you’re not going to want to miss that video. So, that is the day two vlog of this series. Go check it out.
