Welcome back to Bogey Book. The thing is, me and Carl have always wanted a golf simulator at home, but as you guys know, those things are super expensive with the best ones costing upward of like $20,000 or so. So, we found the next best thing. It’s a budget variant for a simulator at home, and we’re super excited to test it out to see if it will match up with any of the big simulators. Boys, the only thing you need is a tripod and your phone, which you probably have, but you have to have an iPhone 11 or a newer version. So allegedly this thing is super easy to set up and use. So please Carl, show the people. It’s called Golf Boy and this is the original tripod. So if you want the best experience, I recommend you using this. Well, at least that’s what they claim. But technically, you can use any tripod that you want. This thing’s stable. I think this is the best tripod we ever had. I’m not going to lie. We’re very lowbudget production, so this is indeed the best we’ve ever had. Look, it’s so simple. You just clip these things off and then you go to the straight line, clip that thing on and then which distance are we going to choose? I think we’re doing mid mid. So you just clip it on and boom, you have a tripod. So let’s just set it up here. We’re on the back of the range as you can see, but it’s quiet over here. Just set it up. The camera should go down because the ball’s going to stand here. All right, this is the app. Once you open it, boom. You can see four options, right? Arbo, we have shot, we have course, we have putting, and we have the creator where you basically can create a course. But we’re gonna do shot, and then afterwards, we’re gonna do a round, right? Yes, indeed. We’re going to kind of simulate a course play regular day for the boys. So, a little warm-up is how we start, then we hit the course. Let’s set it up. Let’s set it up. Step one is to subscribe, but you can try for free for 1 month. Then you have to get a tripod, whether it’s your own or this one, which is theirs, and measure the tripod height. You basically click it and if you have the original Golf Boy tripod, you can see the tripod height is low, mid, high. You can select whichever option you prefer and just click register. Next, and boom, Marvo. I guess it would be really finicky if you have your own tripod. You have to measure the height with a ruler to find out. This looks complicated, but I bet it’s really easy to set up. So, we just click next. Whoa, there’s so much data, boys. I’m just going to take my 56 wedge. And as you can see, I think I selected a different and not the right hand. So, I’m just going to set it up correctly and put the ball right into position. And boom. Go. Go, baby. Come on. I’m super excited. How far should the ball go for you for the shot? It’s in yards. Uh, so I would say breakfast ball should go around like 80 80 yards. Okay, sounds solid. Let’s see. Okay, let’s see. Maybe a little bit more. Oh, it’s really good. Oh, and it got the data. 54 yards. The That’s That’s expected. Look at the divot, boys. Look at that thing. That’s crazy. I’m just going to move it a little bit to the side. So, the divot is not in frame. Arbo, are we hitting like three shots each? Let’s do three shots each. Let’s do three. Okay, second shot. Really easy to use. I’m surprised. Horrible. Do you think it’s accurate though with the 54? Let’s see. I’m going to hit two more shots. That was better. 85. Okay. So, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was the chunk that did the 54. I don’t know if you caught that, but as you can see, you can see what this thing the swing path. What? That is so cool. So, you hit over the top, I guess. Holy crap. Yeah, I do. That’s 90. Oh, no. 63. And I want to see you hit it and uh tell me what you think. Thing is with this thing, I I don’t know much about it, but I read the user manual and it said that you have to click on this icon here that you can set up some stuff. So, I want to check that out. Oh, that’s cool. It has range. You can select your own ball. So, okay. So, we got the correct one selected then. That’s perfect. I mean, I’m not going to adjust anything there, but I just want to feel it out to be honest with you. That was a bit thin, but let’s see what it shows on it. 122 yards with the 54. It was indeed a bit thin. I’m going to try to stripe it a bit better. I want to get some accurate distances. I think it should go about 100, 110 some around there. Still a bit thin. I think that’s going to be even longer than the first one. That was 138. The boy is striping it with the wedge. That’s super cool. And it catches the ball really well as well. But it’s accurate as well. Those are your distances. Yeah, it is. Thin it. I thought it wasn’t going to catch it when I thin it, but it catches it perfectly. Let’s hit a good one for the last one at least. Okay, now that’s a shot. Yeah. So, let’s see how far that one went. 95 yards. So, yeah, it’s about accurate. I said it should be about 100 with a regular shot. So, I mean, surprisingly good. And it’s fun. I love to see when I come over the top or not. Funny thing is you just mentioned you hit it usually 100 yards and you just hit it 95. Real Oh, it had the It had the multiplier in there. Where can you see it? It’s here. Yeah. And you see 1.05. Boom. 5% down, boy. Well, what do you think? I think it’s super cool. This thing would be perfect for an at home setup. If you get like a cheap net off Amazon for like a hundred bucks and set this thing up in the backyard. I mean, that’s super cool. And with the coarse play that we’re going to try right here, if that’s good as well, then dude, bro, that would be a revolutionary or what is it called? They’re like a new thing, bro. Okay, so this thing is pretty accurate for the wedges, but I want to see how it works with longer irons. I have my favorite iron. We have the Tacoma 2 iron in the back, and I really want to see if it’ll go accurately with that thing. We’re going to move it so we don’t hit the fence. We’re going to put it like kind of towards the uh towards the end of the range there. All right. If you’re hitting the two iron, I’m just going to pick like a regular eight iron. 8 iron should go about I don’t know 150 160 maybe. I don’t know. This morning it’s pretty inconsistent for me. I’m saying 150. And it is 145. So pretty close. Yeah, remember this is a range ball so you have to deduct the 5%. That might be shorter. I don’t know. Oh, 148. Pretty accurate. I’m not going to lie, bro. That’s crazy. For this, look. Look at this small simulator. It’s literally You can put this thing in your pocket. It’s your phone. What the thing? You could have a buddy stand here and hold it like this for you while you hit the thing. Oh my god. I would guess the two iron would go about 220 in yards or 200. It’s just going to be a question of whether I can actually hit it pretty well. That was a bad shot from me there. Well, without looking at that shot at the simulator, I would say that should go about 170, 180. Let’s see what it 200. That was actually I was about to say, what the heck? That’s longer than I expected it to be. It rolled. Well, yeah. Oh, but is there a carry on there? Oh, yeah. But the carry is 169. So, I was pretty accurate on the carry. I want to get a carry of like 200 at least. Now, that should be good. I’m saying 190 carry. I’m saying 200 carry because that was pretty decent carry. 194. So, I mean, the coefficient that’s pretty good, though. That’s really That’s surprisingly accurate. I want you to hit a two iron because it’s fun. Okay, I’ll hit another ball and then you can hit the two iron. This is cool. I’m saying 187. I’m saying 185. Carry. Yeah. Carry on. 189. It’s pretty close. So, it’s really accurate, dude. Hit the two iron. That’s just so fun. Whether I think it’s gonna go either way. So, I think it’s going to go like 150 or 200. Okay, those are the two options. Supposedly, I just hit nine yards, but it was because I was moving a tripod and it I I think it thought that I was moving the ball. But, let’s see. Come on. I’m saying I want to hit two twin two. What the 210 yards? Okay. Total and carry carry 185 190. I’m saying that’s 225 total. Total. Okay. Well, I’m going to say 215. Ah, 218. Oh, but it’s still good. Still good. Still good. No, we’re going to be respectful of that. And while Carl is getting his two iron here, the thing is they have a 3D simulation option. If you have an iPad, you can connect it to your phone. Or if you have any other external display, you can also connect it. And then you’re going to have like this cool 3D experience that you’re seeing right now on the screen. 384 yards, man. And after each hole, you can see the result and just click next hole and just continue on. I mean, this is really cool, man. We We’re going to spend hours on this thing. I think so, too. Especially with the winter coming up. It’s like a perfect gadget to have in your home, man. I’m not going to go too deep into the app in this video, but they do have a couple more functions in the main screen here. So they also have a creator function where you can go in there and you can actually design your own course which is super cool. You can make I don’t know if you want to you can make Augusta national and they also have a putting mode which I really want to try out but we’re not going to do this in this video guys.
