Snagged my first set last weekend for 50 bucks, seemed like a great deal but wanted opinions.
Diver Acer XK Draw, Dynacraft LCG strong 4 wood, King Cobra 5 Wood, Ben Hogan Edge CFT Hybrid, Ping Zing 9-P, Ping Eye sand wedge, and odyssey Tri-ball srt.
They have seen some use but still in decent condition. They show some wear on the shafts but seems like its just from moving around in the bag.

As long as you’re having fun and making yourself crazy over this game…then you did fine, just fine. Best not to overspend on your first set until you’re familiar with your swing and your strengths/weaknesses.
You did really well with the irons. Everything else will be upgraded long before you need to upgrade those Ping’s.
Plenty of serviceable equipment from a while ago. That Ben hogan was my first hybrid. 17 degree 1h. I still bust it out occasionally for fun.
My first serious set of clubs was a used set of Ping Eye 2’s. Used them for a few years. The biggest leaps I’ve achieved in my golf game was when I had them. But like many golfers, I thought the next big leap in my game will come with a new set of irons. False premise.
Those are great irons. You’ll have many years of game improvement with that set. Golf’s a great sport. Cheers & good luck!
I like them. Very old irons but good to start. If that putter is a three ball, I love that thing. I call it the Battlestar Gallactica. The irons are coded by color (yours are black?) so understand that is the lie of the clubs to suit how you set up. May or may not fit you well.
Nice putter!
Doesn’t look too bad for a first set! Ping Irons and Ping Eye clubs are solid!
