It’s been quite a journey for Leoni Harm. The German came close to winning in Sweden last month following a loss of form that saw her come close to hanging up the clubs. So, I was having big struggles with my ball striking um for the 23 and 24 season. I just kind of ran into issues that I I just didn’t manage to solve. I did come to the point where I was like, “What the heck am I doing?” Like, I was just fighting for cuts and I felt like I I just couldn’t compete with the best people out here anymore. I couldn’t really contend and like I saw like scoreboards and I was like, damn. like the cutline is at like the best possible score I could see myself shoot and that just becomes such a frustrating feeling cuz it just kind of stayed that way and didn’t really see any improvements in my game even though I put a lot of work in it and I felt like I was doing everything I could. Um and then so ultimately if the journey of being a professional golfer doesn’t fulfill you anymore, you start looking elsewhere. Things changed for harm after working with a new coach Scott Edwards. The swing returned and so did the results. Ninth in Czecha and then second in Sweden. It was incredible. Like I love like I love playing this tournament in Sweden. Like it was a super cool course setup. Absolutely gorgeous. Again, another very challenging golf course to see my game excel in these kind of conditions. Was really windy on day one. Was then also really windy in the afternoon. The final round it got very difficult. and to see that oh like I can do it even under these conditions again great for confidence obviously wasn’t quite enough to win cuz Maya played incredible golf the whole event was just so much fun harm trained as a biochemist and physicist here in Houston a win in her adopted home then very much on the agenda I would love to contend this week this would mean so much to me being in Houston but Golf can sneak up on you. You know how it is. Like momentum’s great and obviously the momentum’s on my side and I would love to use that, but it could all be over tomorrow. Who knows? We just have to ride the highs for as long and as well as we can and really enjoy them while they last.
