The Sun Devil men’s golf team had an 18-stroke turnaround Saturday and leads the Sahalee Players Championship held at Sahalee Country Club (7,003 yards/par 72) after two rounds.
The Sun Devils shot 11-under 277 after shooting 7-over 295 in the morning and have a four-stroke lead heading into the final round Sunday.
Senior All-America Michael Mjaaseth shot 3-under 141 (69-72) and is one of four players tied for the lead the 72-player field.
ASU will start play at 8:37 a.m. and have Mjaaseth tee at 9:21 a.m.

Sun Devil Preston Summerhays won the tournament in his 2023-24 junior season (September 9-10), while ASU took home the team title last year.
Rankings
ASU is ranked sixth (GCAA), eighth (Golfweek) and 12th by Golf Channel. Scoreboard will provide the official NCAA rankings starting in October.
