SAMMAMISH, Wash. — After 36 holes of play, the Pepperdine men’s golf team is in third place, while Mahanth Chirravuri and Brady Siravo are tied for first at the Sahalee Players Championship.

Pepperdine is at a 3-over par after posting a two-round total of 579 (295-284) at the par-72, 7,003-yard Sahalee Country Club course, held in Sammamish, Wash. The Waves are three back of Texas, which is at an even par, while Arizona State leads the field at a 4-under.

Chirravuri and Siravo are tied for 1st with totals of 141 (71-70) (-3) and 141 (73-68) (-3), respectively.

The 13 teams will play one more round tomorrow to conclude the event.

PLAYER SCORES 


Senior Mahanth Chirravuri is tied for 1st at 3-under with a two-round total of 141 (71-70). Chirravuri played two nearly-identical below-par rounds, beginning his day with a 1-under-71 that included three birdies before a 2-under-70 with four birdies in the second round.
Fellow senior Brady Siravo is also tied for 1st at 3-under with a two-round total of 141 (73-68). Siravo bounced back from a 1-over-73 first round with a 4-under-68 second round that was the third-best second-round score in the field of 72 players.
Junior Willy Walsh is tied for 18th at 2-over with a two-round total of 146 (75-71). He tabbed one of the team’s two eagles of the day on a par-5 second hole of the first round, then his second round had four birdies.
Sophomore Luke Bailey is tied for 44th with a two-round total of 151 (76-75) after day one.
Competing as an individual, sophomore Byungho Lee is 71st with a two-round score of 161 (81-80).
Freshman Luke Dariotis is 72nd with a two-round score of 162 (80-82). Dariotis was responsible for the team’s other eagle on the first day; he earned it on a par-5 hole 11 in the second round.
