HAMILTON, N.Y. – Jack Hartman and Taylor Kuehn are both in red numbers, and the Bucknell men’s golf team is tied for third place late in the second round at the season-opening Alex Lagowitz Memorial, hosted by Colgate at Seven Oaks GC. Play was suspended due to darkness and will resume on Sunday morning, followed by the third and final round.

It was a strong start for the Bison, who opened the campaign with a 2-under-par 286 team score in the first round on Saturday morning. Bucknell was 1-over in the second round, and at 1-under for the tournament is tied for third place with Saint Joseph’s. Seton Hall is 10-under in round two and 6-under overall, and the Pirates have a three-stroke lead over second-place Lehigh. Bucknell is eight shots ahead of fifth-place Villanova.

Hartman opened with a 1-under 71, posting a 33 with three birdies on the back nine after going out in 38. He is also 1-under through 15 holes in his second round with two birdies and only one bogey. Hartman sits in a three-way tie for fourth place, just two shots behind the pace-setter, Ryan Cronin of Lehigh. Colgate’s Jamison Bryant and Saint Joseph’s Michael Henry Jr. are both one back.

Kuehn is making his Bucknell debut after playing his first two collegiate seasons at Samford, and he got out to a hot start with three birdies in his first seven holes. Kuehn went on to shoot 71, and he is even in round two with two holes to play.

James Robbins is also off to a good start at 1-over through 33 holes. The senior made six birdies on the day. Patrick Pritsios made four birdies in an even-par 72 in the first round, and he is now +4 with four holes remaining in his second round.

Freshman Hunter Duncan opened with an 83, but has settled in nicely in round two. He was 1-over through 15 holes and was 2-under on the back nine when play was halted.

Freshman Henry Bolster is also making his collegiate debut, playing as an individual. He started on the 17th hole and proceeded to fire a 3-under 33 on the course’s front nine. Bolster shot 74 in the first round and is 1-over in round two with four holes to play.
