Christian Kirk is a Fantasy Football VALUE

Christian Kirk up 2.9 spots to 125 overall. Good news for Christian Kirk out of the preseason game, he was the one that was in two wide receiver sets with Nico Collins. Given Jaden Higgins is a rookie, perhaps the Texans are willing to actually start the season like this. Nico and Christian Kirk in two wide receiver sets and then Kirk kicks into the slot for three wide receiver sets. That would be really strong usage for a reasonably good player in Christian Kirk who’s going this late and not great for Jaden Higgins at least to start the season. I still question if we’re ever going to be excited about starting Christian Kirk in season long, but I do agree that he’s just way too cheap in all formats, especially if the Texans can’t run the ball, especially if the offensive line is so bad they need to get the ball out quick. In those outcomes, maybe there’s a bigger volume ceiling for Kirk than I’m giving credit for. I still do prefer the bigger swings in this range at wide receiver for season long. If I need wide receiver, I would swing at Rasheed Shahed or Darnell Mooney or Jaden Reed before Christian Kirk. But if you’re trying to hit a single or a double, then yeah, I think Kirk makes plenty of sense.
