BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men’s golf team sits in a tie for sixth place with The Southern Conference (SoCon) foe Samford after one round of action on Saturday at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
 
Originally slated for two rounds on Saturday, due to inclement weather, the Bryan National Collegiate will conclude with the final two rounds on Sunday.

TEAM


UNCG carded a five-over-par (293) in the first round of play.
As a team, the Spartans recorded 16 birdies and 50 pars on the day.
UNCG sits in fifth place in par three and par four holes with a 3.15 and 4.16 average, respectfully.
Wake Forest is leading the 14-team leaderboard with a nine-under-par (279) in round one.

INDIVIDUAL


Kelvin Hernandez and Liam Percy are leading the Spartans with a two-under-par each (70) in round one, with both sitting in a tie for sixth place overall.
Cole Isbell carded an even par (72) to be in a tie for 21st place after round one.
Will Guidry and Keenan Royalty are in a tie for 27th place after carding a one-over par (73) in the first round.
Jake Lewis posted a two-over-par (74) on Saturday to stand tied for 39th place.
Dax Isbell and B.J. Boyce round out the scorecard for the Spartans to sit in a tie for 53rd place after recording a four-over-par (76).
Cole and Hernandez are tied for first on par three average with a 2.75.

UP NEXT

The Spartans will conclude the Bryan National Collegiate on Sunday with the second and third rounds. The second round will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
