Are you lost on the fairway? When you’re out here on the course and you’re not sure where to hit your ball, there’s a simple three-step process that you can go through to get yourself out of trouble. And it starts with looking at the wind. See which way the wind is blowing and pick a target. It could be a tree, it could be a bunker, but pick something to aim at. Then take a club that has a high loft on it, like a hybrid club, and hit a shot to that target. And here’s why this works so well. When you’re hitting a low shot with a lot of spin on it, the ball will stop quickly once it lands on the green. But when you hit a high shot with not a lot of spin, the ball will roll out much farther.
