Facebook seller with profile created in 2025. Very cheap price (even if used) and when I asked if I can set it up first to make sure it works, they said it’s already packaged up.
Gotta be some kind of scam right? Are people selling knock offs like this? Or inoperable units? Or some other kind of scam?

Yes, scam. If it seems to good to be true it probably is
2025 profiles are scams
Facebook is becoming un usable.
Even if you message these people they don’t even try to commit, idk how they operate their scams. If you say “I can pick up tomorrow or today” they just say sorry sold..
Are they just waiting for people to offer sending a deposit to hold? Then they don’t have to ask and sound like a scam ?
Agreed, scam. I have seen several of these where I live in MI, pricing is around $300. Also has the same description as your screenshot! TGTBT….
I have contacted sellers listing at $300, and none have been able to meet in person. It’s most likely a scam. I just purchased a new unit from Play Better and got a 10% discount for being a new customer. That’s the best deal I was able to find.
I sell stuff all the time on Facebook and have zero issue with a buyer trying anything before purchasing. If they break it they buy it lol.
I have one I never use that I’ll sell you if you are interested. Just shoot me a pm if so and we can figure out a price that works. Would actually save me the trouble of making a post anyway
Go on ExpertVoice, they have a good deal on it.

I dunno man, look the seller up. Ask for info. I bought my SkyTrak Plus off a guy for 600 bucks. I was highly skeptical but I did my homework and it turned out to be legit and I haven’t had anything wrong with it – going on 4 months now. It is hard to believe but some people have so much damn money they don’t even bother with nickle and dime’ing.
No chance it’s legit.
Him not letting you try before you buy shows it’s 100% a scam
Just ask for a picture of the unit with your username written down beside it. If not then move on. Some legit sellers may be offended or put off by such a request but we’re fighting a war out here.
There are multiple versions of this exact listing in Toronto all from different people all created this year.
It’s a scam. They will agree to time/place for the pickup. Then ask you to give a deposit to hold the item.
