Rory’s putt slips by, but it’s a birdie and a six-under-par 66It was more like eight-feet and Rory’s putt misses right. The birdie takes him to seven-under, into a tie for third, five-back of Lagergren.
A 66 that could have been a 64, typical Rory McIlroy, and he along with Tom McKibbin (-5), Shane Lowry (-4) and Alex Maguire (-2) will lead the Irish contingent tomorrow.
Joakim Lagergren leads by one over Adrien Saddier, with McIlroy lurking heading into the weekend at the K Club.
