Shane Lowry Makes a Wish Come True | 2025 Amgen Irish Open

11-year-old Dáire Coyle from Louth, Ireland, has a dream to play golf with Shane Lowry. Once Shane and Make-A-Wish heard about it, they wanted to make Dáire’s wish come true and give him an experience he will never forget.

In remission from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, golf has become a big part of Dáire’s life, and he plays as much as he can. His family has been a constant source of strength, with his brother Eoin even donating his bone marrow. The prospect of walking the fairways with one of Ireland’s greatest golfers is incredibly exciting for Dáire, especially with his family there to share the moment.

He he had a cold. Wasn’t himself for a day or two. Brought him to the hospital. They weren’t quite sure what it was. Ended up in Grumbland and within 2 days they said he leukemia and he kind of always on an upward trajectory since then. No setbacks. Touchwood. Do you play golf in school? Yeah. So, do you like school? No. Sounds like me. What would you hit here? Pitch wedge. I should hit a pitching wedge or you you would hit a pitch. I’d hit a pitching wedge. You’d hit a pitching wedge?
