If you are reading this, I hope you have a good day and GBR! 🙂

Folks, we are one day away from Nebraska second game of the season, their home opener at 6:30 Central versus the Akran Zip. So, in today’s video, I’m going to reveal my full predictions for this matchup. We’ll take it play by play, quarter by quarter, who shines for the Big Red, who struggles, what is one positional group that I have my eyes out for, who are our statistic leaders, offensive and defensive MVPs, my official score prediction, and a couple surprises as well. So, really quick, if you’re excited about tomorrow, I know I am. Hit that like button. And also, if you’re a diehard Nebraska fan and you’re not subscribed, what are you waiting for? This is the only place you can get daily talking Huskers this season. It’s a no-brainer. Takes two seconds. Join the family. Hit that subscribe button. Thank you so much. But on that note, let’s dive right into it. Nebraska has a massive game tomorrow versus the Akran Zips, our home opener at 6:30 Central. It’s essential not only for the Huskers to go out there and win, but to dominate. So, we’ll start things off with my individual predictions for this ball game, how I think it’s going to go, and then we’ll of course get to my score prediction, my offensive and defensive MVPs, and so much more. Let’s get to my first prediction of the game. Very early on in the first quarter, first half, but as it progresses, this will hold true. Nebraska’s defensive line bounces back. They heard all the criticism. They heard all the questions. And don’t get me wrong, I believe that the interior defensive line is going to be a problem that persists as the year goes on for Nebraska. But as for the exterior, it’s going to shine versus Akran. This offensive line for the Zips is awful. Okay, they don’t have anybody. They don’t have anybody’s worth anything. They have no talent. They have one of the worst offensive line in football. And for that reason, our exterior guys are three techniques or five techniques. They’re going to shine. They’re going to get to the quarterback very early on. Williams is going to have two sacks in the ball game. Ken Lhard’s gonna get pressure, but not only that, he’s going to dominate the run game. I believe that Kona Davis, while he’s gonna play sparingly due to the injury that he suffered versus Cincinnati, he’s gonna have some good reps. And also, the thing that I’m excited to see versus the Zips, some of these younger guys like a Jaylen George, like a Cade Pet, even like a David Hookin getting some reps. I think they’re going to play very well. So again, the defensive line that’s been the whole question mark. Matt R, Terry Brain, John Butler, they’ve been working overtime over this week to try to fix that unit ahead of Michigan in two weeks and you’re going to see a huge adjustment versus Akan. That’s going to be a point of emphasis. They’re going to get the defensive line rolling very early on. Now again, the interior, I think it’s going to be a problem. They’re they’re still going to struggle, but as for the exterior, perfectly fine. I think they’re going to bounce back in a big way. So defensive line has a good performance. Going on to my second prediction versus the Akran Zips. I’m gonna call my shot here. This is a bold take. I think Dylan Roll is going to make history. Listen, this Akan defense is awful. This entire team for Akran. It’s one of the worst in FBS. They’re going to be in the mix to only win one, two games this season at most. I mean, there’s just nothing that impresses you, right? The corners aren’t very good. The defensive line’s very good. They don’t have a good coach. You know, you go back to Dylan Riyle’s performance for Cincinnati. He had 33 completions in one game. That was one of the most ever completions recorded by Husker ever. Literally, I think the record for completion of the game is about 35 to 37. So Dylan Riyle was knocking on the door. For that reason, I think Dylan Riyle gets close to breaking the single game completion record. I think he’s going to have 35. So right there, he’s not necessarily going to break it, but he’s going to have 35 completions versus Akan. He’s going to have 400 passing yards, five touchdowns. And also, I believe they’re going to keep Dylan in the game longer than expected. We’re going to be blowing out Akan from the very beginning. Uh that’s that’s no shocker. So a lot of people might expect him to get pulled maybe in the third quarter, maybe even going into the second half. I think they’re going to keep him out there well into the fourth because they’re going to try to figure out this offense. They’re going to try to figure out what works, what doesn’t work. They’re going to once again try to build a rhythm between Dylan and his wide receivers because they know that when we play Michigan in two weeks, we got to be on track. We got to be perfect in all aspects. This is pretty much like a borderline practice for us. So we got to treat it like that. We got to treat it like an experiment. Uh take risks. And I think Dar because of the fact he’s going to be out there longer than expected, he’s going to shine from a statistical standpoint. Now, is he going to break any single game records? Probably not, but he’s going to be knocking on the door. And for that reason, I think he will make history. Third prediction versus Akan. I think we’re going to have a lot of breakout players, a lot of younger guys that are going to get opportunities to play for maybe the first time in their career. So, you’re going to see a lot of guys who are maybe big- time players at high school who are going to shine. You know, I go to Cortez Mills. He’s going to get probably 25, 30 snaps against Akan. He’s going to play well. I’m excited to see him with that jump ball ability. I want to see at least one time if we’re inside the goal line, go up and just throw him a jump ball, throw him a fade ball, and see if he can come down with it because that was the best thing about him coming out of high school. You know, I’m excited to see Jeremiah Charles. All the hype around him in both spring ball and fall ball. He’s corner four right now on this rotation. I mean, he wasn’t very good last year. So, I want to see if the hype’s real. I want to see him out there and play well. I think it’s going to break out. Mason Goldman, somebody I’m excited to see on the defensive line. He had a very strong fall camp. Again, we just need bodies on the D line because clearly it’s not very big. Clearly, it’s not even that talented. So, if Mason Goldman can have a good day, you’re starting to feel a lot better about this Dline depth. You know, President Tomo, I’m excited to see him on the offensive line. That’s somebody I’m very high on going into his second year. And then, you know, last but not least, the man of the hour, TJ Latif, he gets his first opportunity. He’s going to be the first quarterback off the bench, I presume, um, against Acuran. So, listen, when Dylan goes off to the sideline, TJ comes in. I want TJ to go out there and ball out delegate. Leave nothing. Leave nothing on the sideline. Go out there and give him everything you got because I think if TJ Latif shows us his full ability, there might be some people calling for him as the year progresses because again, he’s that talented. He has that winner mindset. Of course, has that dual threat ability with his legs, but also has great accuracy, great poise, and winner through and through. So, I’m excited to see what TJ Latif can do. Fourth prediction for this ball game. This is my only negative prediction, I’ll say, because again, not every game’s going to be perfect. Not everything can go completely in your favor. I do believe a lot of our questions at running back are not going to be answered after Akan. Okay. And I’m not really worried about Emma Johnson. We we know what he is. He’s a fine running back. We’ve said that multiple times. The question at running back is who’s going to step up from a depth standpoint because we were very unimpressed for Cincinnati. Like Mai Nelson was not very good. I think he only had one carry on the game. Again, he ran straight into the offensive line. Okay. He’s just not a very smart running back necessarily. You know, Mai Nelson again, he’s powerful. He’s speedy, but when it comes to reading the reading the offensive line, shooting through the A gap, B gap, he struggles with that, and that’s the most important thing from a running back in the Big 10. Okay, Isaiah Mosy, he’s still just very rock. Clearly, the abilities there, but he’s a true freshman, so he’s still learning the position. And what about Quinn Knives? Quinn Knives got no snaps versus Cincinnati. He’s healthy. Like, can we can we see him versus Akan? Maybe he can get his running back two job back. And I wouldn’t even mind seeing like Connor Booth or Kenneth Williams. So, my thing is I do believe our running backs are going to leave a lot to be desired. Are they going to go out there and struggle necessarily? Like, no. I could see Mine Nelson get a touchdown. I could see him show us flashes, but he’s not going to go out there and rush for 100 yards and we’re going to we’re not going to sit here after the game and say, “Oh, oh, Mai Nelson, he’s easily, you know, going to be a breakout player for us going forward.” Like, I don’t think it’s going to be the case, right? We’re going to see some good, but we’re still going to have a lot of questions going into Michigan going into next week versus Houston Christian when it comes to our running backs. And then fifth and final prediction of the ball game, Nebraska is 100% healthy. And honestly, that’s probably the only thing that I’m looking out for, right? We’re gonna win. We’re probably going to blow this team out. But the worst things that have happened in Nebraska these past couple years, we always have players that get injured in meaningless ball games where we’re going to win anyways and for whatever reason, our quarterbacks will get banged up or our key wide receiver will get banged up or key defensive lineman. That can’t happen. just can’t happen. So, for that reason, I do believe Nebraska, they’ll stay 100% healthy. They’re going to be very aggressive with the substitutes. Um, again, I think very early on the the starters are going to get out of there, especially on defense. They’re going to try to rotate guys in. So, I do believe Nebraska, they’ll be 100% healthy. We got to be we got to be healthy throughout the season, okay? The best teams in the Big 10 particularly, are the healthiest, okay? If you get banged up, you’re just not going to you’re not going to succeed, especially with our lack of depth, right? We just don’t have depth at some of these positions like the D line, like the secondary, you know, even I’d say wide receiver right now is turning that way. Like we just don’t have a lot of depth. So, we get injured. That’s really the way the season goes from goes pretty bad pretty quickly. So, I got to stay healthy and I do believe they’ll be healthy versus Akan. All right. Prediction for this ball game versus the Zips. Who gets it done? Okay, it’s going to be Nebraska, but how much? That’s the question. I believe Nebraska in their home opener night game atmosphere. It’s going to be loud. People are going to be excited. We win 48-6. So again, leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. Like that’s a great score. You win by 40 points, but it’s not a shut out. And I know Nebraska fans are going to want that. And I I absolutely want that, too. That’s on my bucket list. Like we need a shut out versus Aan. They they really they got shut out by Wyoming. If Wyoming gets shut them out, we should be able to as well. But I don’t think that’s going to happen. I believe Akan’s going to score some points, especially in garbage time. And also Nebraska’s not going to put up 60. They’re not going to put up 70 maybe like they should, right? So, I do think there’s going to be there’s going to be some things that, you know, we’re questioning after the game and that that feels like it always happens with Matt Rule coach teams like last year we should have beat Northern Ill. We should have beat Northern Iowa by a lot more. We didn’t. We should have beat UTP even by a lot more. We didn’t. Okay, we leave a lot to be desired in these ball games. Uh, so I do believe Nebraska will win. We’ll win by 40, but it’s only 48-6. As for my MVPs, Dylan Rale, offensive MVP for the second consecutive week, simply because again, I this is one of those breakout games. He should be surgical. He should be he should be dynamic electrifying. I want to see him running the ball a couple times as well. Uh but I believe he’s going to just pick apart this AAN defense and def and as for our defensive MVP, I’m going to go William. I think he’s going to break out. I told you guys the exterior defensive line. I feel great about the three techs, the five techs. The interior is the problem. and Wilson. I just don’t think anybody can block him consistently with their lack of talent on the offensive line. So, all right guys, take 5 seconds, 10 seconds, one minute. I want to hear your score prediction down below. Type it out, your reasoning. Let me know in the comment section. I absolutely want to read what you have to say. Hey, you made it this far in the video, hit that like button and subscribe. As always, folks, go grad gmet roll and I will see you in the next one.

  1. I see Mozee playing a lot of slot in this game to relieve Barney. I think/hope this is the game that Q establishes himself as RB2. Akron is the worst team on our schedule, worse than Houston Christian. I think this is the first shutout for the Huskers since the 2009 Holiday Bowl vs Arizona. Nebraska 45 Akron 0

  2. Goooo Big Red beat The Zips!! Love the update Wilson keep up the great work! 35- 7 Huskers to much to handle for the Zips!!

  3. I don't think they keep Raiola in until the 4th quarter. There is no reason to risk an injury against what should be a gimme. We should be getting this young team a lot of reps down the depth chart to prepare for a future injury and needing someone to step up, where they at least have a bit of actual game time.

  4. My guess is this game will look like UTEP. Nebraska’s second and third team D allows a TD on missed assignment. 45-7

  5. We will dominate these inferior opponents. Sure, it will feel great…but until we dominate the "big boys" we just won't be a championship team. Score 52-10 Nebraska!

  6. If Nebraska doesn’t beat this team handily they are not even close to upper tier in the BIG ten. The Ohio States, Oregons, PSU, Michigan, USC would absolutely obliterate this Akron team.

  7. 56-0 we actually show up this week and let the world know that we are back , the season will end with us getting the naty back where it belongs in Lincoln!

  8. Far more important than a shut out is building depth getting some of the non starters some serious playing time

  9. If we’re winning big and DR is still in the game in the second half heaven forbid he gets hurt there’s gonna be hell to pay. Just saying.

  10. I’m sure the coaching staff is looking to see how well we execute, make adjustments and improve from game one. Also a look at backups that are knocking on the door.

  11. 77-9 we need to never let up. Even if we are up by 50. Entire team needs the reps and we can't sit back and coast if we are up by multiple TDs
