The Justin Thomas/Tiger relationship is fascinating to me. We never really saw Tiger that close with guys, everyone was basically an enemy to him during his playing day. Then he found Justin Thomas and we started getting real Tiger banter, including the tampon
There was the Presidents Cup teaming in 2019 where they went 2-0 together
And now we have JT bringing up this story. It’s perfect Tiger Woods. Oh you think the 2020 Tour Championship is a big deal? Let me grab one of my multiple green jackets, throw that on and remind you that you don’t have one of these. It’s the Happy Gilmore gold jacket joke in real life. Not to mention Tiger already had multiple Tour Championships and even more PGA Tour Player of the Year awards.
More importantly I like knowing that Tiger is willing to take it up a level if you try to shit talk him. Not exactly crazy to say that I love Tiger Woods. One of my all-time favorite athletes, got to grow up with prime Tiger and cheer for him against all the others out there. Easily a top-5 favorite athlete and favorite athlete to watch. So getting this version of Tiger as I’m an old makes it even better.
I need one more Tiger run. I want another East Lake, another Masters, something to see this version of Tiger dominate. I know it’s almost a 0% chance, but hey if a blogger can recover from an Achilles injury to start shooting lower a year later, why can’t the best golfer ever? Elite golfer. Elite shit talker.
