CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati women’s golf team has headed down to the South Carolina coast for its fall opener, where it will play the Golfweek Fall Challenge, Sunday-Tuesday, at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island.

Garcia was the Bearcats’ top performer last year with a 74.54 stroke average, including a third-place finish at the Boilermaker Spring Classic. Like Garcia, Rim Imni also appeared in every tourney last year, carding a 76.71 in her first season as a Bearcat.
Twenty teams are lined up for this event, including Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Boise State, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, Delaware, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, High Point, Lipscomb, Morehead State, Presbyterian, Troy, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, USC Upstate and Winthrop.
Cincinnati has been consistent in its first two season openers under head coach Aimee Ponte, finishing fourth at its home Jennifer Duke Invitational in 2023 and seventh at K-State’s Powercat Invitational last year.
