I’ve never seen a set of irons quite like this set of game improvement irons from HGolf. This is their Jubilee game improvement iron set. I’ve got a four through pitching wedge. And what makes these so different to me, and probably you see it here on screen, is these look a whole heck of a lot like a players distance iron. something in the vein of a P790 from Tailor Made that really started this whole category. But now we have so many direct to consumer options like Tacomao, Hogan, McGregor, and so many more that have done this style of club. But this one’s different. I would say more forgiving potentially than all of those ones I mentioned, but still in a pretty sleek looking package. The other interesting caveat is these clubs come from a fellow YouTuber, David Maxfield Golf, here on YouTube. He looks at a lot of golf technology and he knows a thing or two about golf clubs as well. He bought this company about a year ago and he’s doing some amazing things. We got to take a look at their muscle back and cavity backs earlier in the year and I’m pretty pumped to take a look at these game improvement clubs. The first out of H here in the Jubilees. So, we’re going to be playing six holes of golf here with my overunder. Going to be plus one. If I can do plus one or better, that is going to be a win here for the H irons. I’m also going to be playing a forward set of T’s here. And we’ll be playing irons only. So, no woods here. We’re going to be taking irons off all the T’s. First, let’s have a closer look here at the H Jubilee. All right, so here it is in hand. As you can see, right on here is something different as well. It says forged. You can see there’s a lot of mass here positioned right behind where the sweet spot will be on the front of this club. And that is going to hopefully give you higher trajectory and more forgiveness. Now, if I turn this club over, you can see this is hollow body construction. This top line here is pretty meaty. I mean, this is definitely a game improvement club. And here in the seven iron, you probably won’t see the back of the club, but as you move your way up the set, especially once you get to the five and four irons in the set, you will see a little bit of the back of this club coming out, but it’s not egregious. What’s also not egregious is the offset. Pretty minimal in my opinion for a game improvement club. I think it’s actually a really nice look at a dress. That sole is going to be a little thicker here as well. And that’s going to again provide a little bit easier launch conditions for the higher handicappers who would be focus of this particular club. Now, H can customize these clubs to your own specs, and they’ve got a variety of shafts available. I happen to have the NS Pro modus 120 g stiff shaft on these. H was nice enough to put their custom branded grip on here in medium for me because I like them just a little bit thicker in the grip area. So, they can customize that. You can see it’s also got that custom blue fereral on it. Really nice looking package. Again, never seen a game improvement club quite in this vein. Maybe the closest would be the Ram irons we tried. But still, I’d say those are more of a players distance. For a game improvement, about as good as it get in terms of looks, but as you know, performance is where it’s at. And now it’s time to take these out on course and put them to the test. First hole here, par five, so it would be nice to score early. We’ve got my Garmin G80 on hand, so I’ll be able to measure shots. It is an extremely wet day. We’re going to get almost no roll out, so we’re going to take that into account here as we’re looking at the measurements. But not only will this give us some GPS measurements, but it’s actually going to give us some launch data here as well. From this T- box, this hole is only playing like 390. So if it was firm and fast down here, I might have a chance of getting home in two, but probably this is going to be a three shot hole here today. I hit that a little toe side. Real nice peak height though. The club head speed was 86. The ball speed was 122. The smash was 142, which is a good number with a 4iron. And the estimated carry 177. Let’s see where it finished. Now feel off that first shot was pretty good for a toe strike. Actually felt rather good. Like I said, don’t think we’re getting home in two here. So I’m going to take a pretty conservative club here. Sixiron. We’re just going to lay it into position. All right. So you can see where we hit right here. And so you know how much roll out we got. We didn’t get much. We got about 2 ft of roll out. And 179 is the number. So not my best strike either, but we’ll continue to show you how far I hit all these clubs here today. I’ve got sixiron in hand. Again, just want to put this into good position on this particular hole. Left side of the fairway would be ideal. So, I guess we’ll get an idea of how accurate these clubs are and how I can control them early. I pushed it out there. We’re actually going to be in the right rough. But, uh, again, contactwise, felt very good and seemed to get decent distance there. But, again, we’ll be measuring it here. So, one thing I’ll say about these clubs is they’re very, very heavy in hand. Now, that can be adjusted. David builds all these clubs to spec. And if I knew the weight of these, I probably would have asked them for a little lighter swing weight. That’s probably part of the reason I push that one off to the right here. No big deal, though. We’re close to the green. We’re still just chipping on. And we’re still going to have a good chance at maybe making a birdie here. If that’s my worst miss right now, I’ll be very happy. All right. Here we are in the right rough in terms of how far I hit that sixiron. It was 168. Again, we had absolutely no roll out here in the rough, but we’ve only got 58 yds to this pin. Now, this tree is a little bit in the way, which is why I wanted to be on the left side of the fairway here. So, I’ve got two options. Go up and over or hit one low. For me right now, I think up and over is the play. I feel a little bit more confident with that shot with this particular lie that I have. I think I can slide the club underneath, but I guess we’ll find out. I guess we’ll find out. Yeah, perfect. Oh, that was good. So, we’re going to have a pretty good crack at birdie here. First hole. All right, I’ve got uh probably 15 ft here for birdie. Maybe even a little less, but did we do it? Oh, baby. That’s a start. That’s a start that we haven’t seen on the show in a very long time. So, I’m super pumped to uh go one under early. And now the next hole is actually a birdieable hole as well. And then we’re going to get into some really difficult holes. So I like a course like this that kind of warms you up slowly, kind of gets you into the rhythm. Some of these courses where you have a real tough start, you get behind the eightball and that’s rough. So let’s keep it going and see if the H can keep coming through for us. All right. Now let’s see if we can hit this four iron in the middle of the club and get a better idea of distance. But, uh, forgiveness wise, like we saw in that hole, even though I hit two shots that weren’t wonderful, I wasn’t in too bad of a spot. And that’s kind of what you want out of a set like this. Anyways, all right. So, shorter par4 here. I still don’t think I hit all of that one. It wasn’t completely center of the club face, but again, it seemed to go a good distance there. I hit it a little thin. And again, direction also perfect with a nice little draw. So, forgiveness looking real good. We’ll check the distance here, though. All right, we’re gonna have another wedge in our hand. And distance-wise, good news. We’re definitely seeing a lot more here on this shot. I got it to 210 there. Now, we did get a little bit of a kick forward on this particular shot. All in all, distance-wise, again, we’ll continue to test, but that was promising for sure. All right, this pin is tucked in a very, very difficult spot. 96 yds is the number. That’s going to be a 54° wedge for me. I brought all the equipment cuz we’re playing cart path only here today. If I go right at that pin is dangerous. There’s very shallow part of the green there. So, I’m going to hopefully be out just a little right of it. And if it hits the hill right, it’ll kind of feed towards the pin anyway. See if we can get the weight of the shot right, though. That’s the most important part. It’s on the perfect line. Distance looked decent, but I did not get the kick to the left like I was hoping. Either way, we’ve got a pretty reasonable chance here at another birdie putt. So, the H irons are putting us in position. Be nice to go two under. That’d be sweet. All right. And walking up here, it’s even closer than I thought. I thought I was going to have about that same distance before, 15, maybe 20 ft, but this is more like 12 right here. Boy, a fairly similar putt, I think. All right. I love to keep the putter hot early. Okay, I don’t mind tapping pars. So, we’re on one under. Going to a very difficult stretch of this course. These next three holes are going to be a challenge, but with these irons, I think we have a shot. All right, I’m going to go four iron again here cuz this hole is very narrow. I’ve got to be accurate with it. I hit it in the perfect spot on the last hole. And if I can keep that up, I’ll be feeling real good. Oh yeah. And that was dead middle of the club face there. So, getting excellent peak height. You couldn’t really pick it up and place it in a better part of this fairway so far. I mean a four iron a very tough club to hit and I’ve hit three for three fairways with it already. So if we want to talk about forgiveness of a club this seems to be an excellent set in that department. So I got absolutely no roll out and total distance here on the carry itself. 197 is the number. So I see these clubs basically on a normal day normal conditions probably being a 205 to 210 club for me which is fantastic again considering this is a 23° 4 iron. It’s not a press law for four iron. It’s not one of these 19° game improvement four irons. So, really decent distance, I think. All right, I’ve got 158 here. I’m going to go 8 iron. Now, I hope I don’t come up short because there’s two big sandill cranes that are laying directly on my line to that pin that’s in the front of this green. So, we’ll see what we get here. It’s on a good line. Will it carry the sandill cranes? Oh, it just barely did. So, I came up a little short there. Again, on a good line, but I will say hit that one thin. You probably saw it. I didn’t take really any divot there either, which also shows you I hit it thin. And distance-wise, definitely lost a little bit there. But again, all in all, I think with these clubs, we’re probably going to see plenty of distance throughout the day. As Sean just mentioned to me, I’ve got an audience behind me, so the pressure is on here. Um, I probably hit that, just so you know, about 140. Again, hit it very thin. We need to make a good chip here to get up and down. Pretty straightforward chip. See if we get the weight of it right. Yes. Oh my gosh. I wanted to make it, but we’ll take any kind of kick in par on this hole. Never upset about that. So, we are headed to again another challenging hole, a par4 that’s very narrow. So, we need to continue to make sure we’re hitting good T- shots. And we’ve done that three out of three times to keep it up. All right. So, on this hole, it’s a little bit shorter distance. So, I’m going to pull the five iron out cuz I always love to, you know, hit as many clubs in the bag as I can anyways. And I don’t need quite as much distance on this particular hole. But again, what I do need is accuracy. I’ve got to be left of the palm tree that’s out there. And man, I’m headed right at the palm tree. See if we get past it. It did. And it’s actually in green grass now. I don’t know if I’m going to have a shot at the pin from there. I might be blocked out. But that swing was all me. I just pulled that one. All right. So, yeah, no shot. I’m just gonna punch out back into the fairway, get us into position where we can hopefully put maybe that pitching wedge in our hand and attack this pin. Just like that. Sit. I hit it too far. Might be in the rough, but either way, we’ll have a good angle at this one. All right. So, just missed the fairway literally by an inch, but we’ve got a perfect lie. It’s actually sitting up. It’s going to make this shot pretty easy. 106 is the number. I’m going to go pitching wedge here again. Trying to hit all the clubs in this bag. What I’m going to do is just choke up on it a little bit. Try to flight this down. And we’re going to try to attack. We’ve got to get up and down if we’re going to save a par here now after that punch out. It’s on a decent line just right of the pin. See if it funnels down this hill. There’s a hill right there. It is working its way back down, but we may have caught the back fringe there. The positive there was the fact that I was able to flight that perfectly. I consider this a game improvement club more so than a players distance iron. I think there’s probably a case that could be made for either, but I really think these sit in the game improvement category to be able to control the shot and the trajectory like that. Again, massive plus here for the Jubilee iron. So, let’s see if we can make a tough tough par save from off the green. All right, so this actually worked out even better than I thought. We’re actually exactly pin high and uh here’s where I landed and it kind of fed down off this hill a little bit. And for that type of shot to be able to control the distance as well as the trajectory, man, that’s really, really positive. So, this putt’s a little bit longer than some of the other ones we’ve had, but I’d still say it’s under 20 ft. Maybe 18 ft here. We got a half a chance at saving par anyway. Oh, it was bumpy. That was a bumpy ride it took. So, unfortunately, we surrender a bogey here, but we’re still even par here, which means we’re in a good spot for our overunder, and we’re heading to a par three. All right, 145. Let’s say we go eight iron here, right? We saw I came up a little short on the last one. If I get all of it, it will be long, but I’d rather be long than short, I think, on this particular hole. Drawn in there. If it’s the right club, we’re going to have a good crack at one. Yeah, we are. We’re in good shape. All right. So, great shot in there. exactly what I want to do. I’m just past the pin, which I expected. Hit that 150 on a nice smooth swing. Here is my pitch mark. So, to give you an idea of stopping power with an eight iron. Excellent. It only ran out less than I’d say less than 2 feet. So, that is perfect. I also hit that perfectly right dead center of the club. Let’s see if I can hit the putt perfect and get us back under par would be sweet. I didn’t give it enough break. I’ll never complain about the tapping pars though. So, we are headed now to the sixth. All right, we’re on the last hole. We are even par. So, the overunder is looking fantastic. Even a bogey gets me there today. So, on this downhill dog leg left, I’ve got four iron. If I can hit that hill right, this could go a long way. I didn’t catch all of it, but it’s going to be fine. just going to be a slightly longer iron in our hands than I would have liked to have had. But yeah, I mean all day these things have performed really well. I got very few complaints with the H Jubilees here, especially once I got used to the weight of them. That was probably the most shocking was how heavy these felt. Again, for this category of clubs, maybe would have been nicer to have a lighter swing weight. But uh either way, time to rank these clubs. So on this channel, we always rank clubs on five categories. The first one is distance. In the distance category, I think they were ample. These are not going to be the longest game improvement clubs, but they’re also again with the loft structure these sit at, really not game improvement lofts either. With everything said, I think four is a fair score for what you’re going to get out of these. I honestly, even though my score is very good today, I don’t think I struck the ball that well to be quite honest with you. Now, let’s talk about forgiveness. That’s where I really think these clubs excelled. Again, I just told you I didn’t strike the ball that well, and you can see where how I’m playing here today. I have gotten up and down a couple times here today, which definitely helps. But all in all, I would say, I mean, five out of five easily in terms of forgiveness. It’s not going to get a whole lot better, I don’t think, in this category. So, the next category is going to be workability. I haven’t had too many chances to do that here on on course, but actually going to try to do it right now. So, how about I score it right after I take this shot? I’m going to try to fade one off a downhill lie. Pretty straight. It’s fading just a touch. Is it going to get up there? Yeah, it’s on the green. We’re going to have our last birdie putt oft. So, workability. We did also see that I was able to flight that pitching wedge and got the distance nailed in. So, for as forgiving of a club as these are, there is some workability. We’re going to go ahead and call it a three and a half out of five. If we talk about aesthetics, looks, feel, and sound in the game improvement category. Again, where I really think these sit, this is up at the top. Nice clean look. It’s as close to a blade look as you’ll ever get from a game improvement club. Now, it’s certainly not a blade. It’s got that thicker top line, a little bit of offset, but not egregious. I would say looks fantastic. Sound excellent. Feel very, very good. All in all, aesthetics wise, I’m going to give them a 4 and 1/2 out of five. And then we get down to our last category here, which is value. Now, when you go to their website, you’re going to see these irons are $1,049. That could be bad news, but the good news is those are Australian dollars. Meaning, if you were to do the conversion, the US dollar pretty strong right now. about $685 approximately would be what that converts to, which makes these really good value. I do think there’s going to be some shipping charges from HGolf, especially coming all the way from Australia. All in all, you should be under $800 with these, which I would say puts these at about a four out of five for me in terms of value. There are some brands that we’ve reviewed on this show that are going to be a little bit less expensive, especially the ones that are based out here in the United States, but I have never seen another club in this particular category where you’ve got the game improvement hollowbodied players look to it. So really, it’s in a class of its own. And I think four out of five is a fair score for the performance that you’re going to get out of these clubs. I’ve enjoyed them immensely. Looks like we’re absolutely going to break our overunder, assuming I don’t for putt this one. And this is a set that if you are somewhere in the 30 to 15 handicap range, I think you’re really going to enjoy. I’m not sure this would be your first set of golf clubs, but it might be your last set of golf clubs if you’re a high handicapper trying to improve and get a little bit better. I hope you’ve enjoyed this review. Do me a favor, just check out the H offerings on David’s website. He’s a real good guy. Whether you buy them or not, just head over there and have a look. Try to support a fellow YouTuber here. And hit that subscribe button for me if you want to support Let’s Play through. Let’s see if we can finish strong. I didn’t hit it enough. Bad putt. Bad bad putt. Didn’t see it breaking like that either. Too much. Well, we ended right on the number. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did making it. And I’ll catch you back here next time on another edition of Let’s Play Through.

These are intriguing. What would you say are the longest irons you have tested?
Nice to see the Lab Putter back in the bag. That’s what I was thinking when you put the last one in time out.😎
They look like they hook more than desired.
Lofts sound like Hot Metal HLs.
First, those irons are real pleasing to the eye!! Do you think that high handicapper will shy away from them because they are not pressed lofts?
The weight of the club head alone will compress the ball and give you the distance. Put the correct golf swing on it…
Look identical in shape to the Mizuno Pro 245….
These look interesting but What irons and maybe more importantly wedges would be on your short list for a 13 hdcp hoping to break 80 once in a while
The two cranes don’t seem too concerned with Gabe’s presence.
Good review Gabe ! They looked great ! A game improvement club masquerading as a players stick ! Nice to hole that putt on the first hole ! Keep grinding on your putting !
I'm glad you put up the full name of the company because I thought you were just really trying hard to pronounce the H.
I purchased a combo set of Jubilee + CB irons from Haitch in June. I have 4 – 6 in the Jubilee in the same modus shaft as you. They have been an absolute game changer. I love the feel and the confidence I get from them. The front to back distribution for me has been a revelation. Never hit so many greens in my life
Thanks Gabe
How do these compare to the Cobra set you recently tested
for a high handicapper please?
Can I ask you why you aim 20 yards right and hit that duck hook with every club coming from a golf professional I don't understand thanks you.
These resemble the Mizuno MP 20 and MP 5.
Not the Taylor Made P790.
Nice looking iron though.
Who says a &17000 putter is not worth the money.
Lost me at 800 dollars considering i can buy a brand new set of last years Pings or Callaways for that price. They look great but thats too rich for a small market club
Maltby TS3 irons are the tits.
What impresses me is that with Haitch and about a dozen other direct to consumer small volume boutique golf club makers is that we are in a golden age of having great quality to price ratio products. And I think that if you are going to buy a set of Haitch or Takomo or Ben Hogan (or any of the others) do it soon. I suspect that the big volume producers are watching these boutique makers steal their market share and they will start to buy out the companies to either bury them or shift the brand name to their mega-factories. I've been a musical instrument retailer for a long time. Saw the same trend in manufacturer acquisitions throughout the 1990's – 2010's.. Many well known and well loved electric guitar name brands from the 1960's are still on the market but they are all made by Cor-Tec industry in Indonesia (The largest volume musical instrument manufacturer in the world). The original guys and factories are long gone. So if you want a real set of Haitch or Takomo do it soon before the club brands are just bought and then made by Taylormade or Callaway in their Chinese factories with the legacy names stamped on them.
What about the impact of the new tariffs that President Trump has levied (assuming they hold up legally) on the cost of these clubs (or any other clubs imported from other countries)?
Gabe at your age what do you think about the modus 120 s.
Is it too heavy and stiff to play full time?
Always enjoy your evaluations. Fair, clear and reliable….🏌️
They could have chosen any other name than "Jubilee"
Quite possibly the ugliest irons I've ever seen, and $800?!? Outrageous.
Man all your videos at Carrollwood making me wanna sign up driven past it a million times always looks nice
Hey Gabe. Love the content. Keep going…. question for you though. Other than it being a want, not a need – when do y9u know that it's time to make a change?
Im a 15, playing a used set of Sim Max 2s. I do have a baby draw. Swing speed is pretty average around 75 mph…
Why make a change? What can I get out of new wrenches? Is it gonna be the same performance for spending money?
"I hit the six iron…" means nothing these days unless we know what the degrees the club is set to. Maybe it's about time the numbers were removed and degrees added to all clubs.
