I compare the new Titleist T100 Iron against the slight underdog of the Srixon ZXi7 Iron, two forged golf clubs that look great, feel great and performance great. Which golf iron is the winner though? Watch to find out.

So, we’ve got two cracking irons going head-to-head in this particular video in the players category. We’ve got the ever popular Titus T100, the new release for 2025 up against one that maybe just flies a little bit under that radar, and that is the Shrixen ZXi7 head in this video. Let’s see which one comes out on top and maybe the differences in their performances. Okay, so two very popular irons and I say one very much a standout with the title. huge launch for 2025 in the T series and the T obviously T100 carrying on being regenerated again up against the Shrixen ZX i7. Now for me the Shrixen just tends to fly a little bit under the radar. A little bit of an underrated iron. Definitely gaining more popularity in this iron category and the ZX i7 is a stunning look and a great feel. So we’re going to pop these two against each other. The reason I’ve chose the T100 against the ZXI7 is they’re both in that similar loft area, 32 33°. They both got a little bit of forgiveness in inside the bonnet, so to speak. A little bit of tungsten we’ll talk a little bit about. So very much level game against these two. Same shaft, same length, and same light for these two irons. So we’re going to start off with the title. It’s a T 100. So this is coming in at 33° of loft. It’s actually one degree stronger than the previous T100 uh model, but great looking. We’ve got a very sleek sort of backup small cavity in there. Uh we’ve got a new sole, which we’ll talk a little bit about, and I have done a full in-depth review of this, so you can go and check that out for a little bit more in depth in terms of the technology in the head. But in that plane position, a fantastic shape. Big fan of this. I was very, very impressed with this when I was hitting it. Feels fantastic. Fully forged head. And a beautiful feel. And that’s a great flight as well. Right down its neck on that opening T-shot. Right in the middle of the club face on the strike. Not bad club head speed for me either. Over the 90 mark with a 79. Tend to be sort of dropping off more nowadays. So first instance there was was quite a high ball flight tight. So I’ve done a lot of work with the descent angle through the T series iron. So very blendable between the models now. Yeah, that’s a super feel. A little bit pulled on that particular shot. The fight is fantastic. Great sound to it. Yeah. And some sort of good numbers. Got a little bit more distance there on that slight pull. So even though this is in the sort of players category, there’s quite a bit of tech and forgiveness levels built into this particular small compact looking tour inspired head. So we’ve got some tungsten inside that bulky section at the bottom of the iron. So heel and toes sort of split helping with a little bit of um CG placement stability on your offc center hits allowing to give a little bit of forgiveness. We’ve got a very sort of thin top line. So it is very sort of tour inspired in terms of look down by that golf ball. We’ve got a new variable sole here now which is helping a lot with turf interaction through the golf ball. Quite a thin sole. We’re going to see something very similar in the ZX i7. And we’ve got a fully forged head. And in the longer irons, we’ve got a little slot that sits the top of that um cavity there in the back, which allows us to help to flight those lower lofted irons. So again, it’s all around sort of really precisely getting this flight. Land angle is a big talking point. As I mentioned, you can see that was like 51 edging 52°. That’s what they’re trying to hit around that 50 mark, which is going to give added stopping power hitting into the greens. Now, that shot there wasn’t great. You can see there’s that Healey one. That’s awful strike. Ball speed has dropped a bit. The spin has stayed the same. And that isn’t a huge drop off. Now, this is a class as a players iron, isn’t it? So, maybe that tungsten in there, that’s just helped me out a little bit. I felt the offc center hit. The feedback was there, but I haven’t had a huge drop off of distance. I maybe expect to see a little bit more drop off of distance on that particular strike cuz that was pretty awful. So, I think if you’re a type of golf who loves that more compact, clean look in that plane position, but maybe just wants that little bit of forgiveness, that that bit of help in there, that slot in the long irons as we explained, then this is a great option from Titus in the T100. Yeah, this is a very high flight. Again, very solid numbers. We’ll hit one more with this, then we’ll move into the Shrixen. Yeah, feels super. Really like that. Big fan of that iron. Gorgeous flight. Again, very consistent on that flight. That was a nice strike, consistent spin, very similar carry numbers, which is what we sort of want from this particular iron. Right, let’s move into the tricks. Right. So, before we start hitting some of the Shrixen, let’s just have a look at a sidebyside comparison of the looks in this playing position between these two irons. And there’s quite a bit of a difference in my uh opinion. Now, the Shrixen definitely has more a squarer, blockier top line. Now, if that’s something you’re not quite keen on, you’re probably going to prefer the Tyler. It’s a little bit more slimmer, a little bit more rounded on the shape of that top line. Um, the actual blade length itself looks very, very similar between the two. Very similar on the offset. Maybe a hair more with the Shrixen on the offset, but definitely a little bit more of a chunkier top line. Just takes your eye to that top line a little bit more. So, a little bit more of a squarer look. Now, if you flip the Shrixen over on the back, we’ve got like um sort of um a satiny but with a tiny bit of polish on the back. It looks very sort of premium in that position. We can see the soles relatively thin. Again, we’ve got that um Vole that Shrixen done for many generations now. Very popular. that again it’s all about that turf interaction coming through the golf ball again it’s fully forged and it’s I forg this version there now in comparison to previous versions and it’s softer and I did a review video these irons not just the seven but also the five and the four and they felt phenomenal that does feel I tell you what I’ve not hit that either that was a bit heel yeah there’s a strike ball speed that’s a good Ball speed from a healy strike spins up 168. So equally as impressive as the tightness there on that miss hit. So again we’ve got some tungsten in here. You can see a little shadow on the on the toe end of the sole there which is a bit of a tungsten weight. We’ve got some tungsten in the heel section as well. So very similar to the tight list. Oh that felt superb. Just turn that over a little bit. Get the feel off that club face. And there’s a decent sort of spin number again. And there is the land angle. So doing a very similar job there to the tightest on those first few shots. You can just squeeze in a couple of extra yards there just through that little pull shot. But definitely more of a blockier look down by the golf ball. Oh, touch low in the face, but the flight is really good. Again, we got to remember this 7 in the Shrixen ZXi7 is 32° of loft. though it is one degree stronger than the tightest. So that’s possibly going to give us a little bit more ball speed potentially. That’s a good flight. That’s a nice golf shot. Looks quite strong. Yeah, I mean that ball speed is definitely quicker there and that spin was a little bit lower on that particular one. So has flown a little bit further but some great ball speed there. So, we’ve got this pure frame technology from Shrixen, which is basically we’ve got this um bigger ridge of forge material right behind that um sweet spot. A little bit bigger than previous models and helping to put a little bit more mass behind that central point of this golf club. As I mention, you’ve got the Vsole for the turf interaction. We’ve got a little bit more of a tighter groove uh construction there now. And obviously, we’ve got the eye forged, fully forged head. Okay, one more shot and then we’ll go and check a few numbers out between these two irons. Oh, that’s a beauty to finish on. Oh, that is going to land nice and soft. Let’s have a look. T100 against ZXI7. Let’s check some numbers out. So, dispersion first. We’ve got the white with the Titus, the orange with the Shrixen. So, I think obviously a little bit more distance there with Shrixen. Definitely saw some ball speed gains there, didn’t we? Maybe that one degree extra bit of loft there helping with that. Um but maybe front to back dispersion shortest to longest bit obviously a bit tighter with tighter with the tight list. Okay. And then obviously looking at the numbers. So club head speed pretty identical as we expect. Touch more ball speed as we saw with the Shrixen. Probably that extra degree of loft playing a part of that. So launch a touch lower than the uh tight list. The spin is a little bit lower which is obviously going to give us that extra bit of carry distance by about seven yards more through the flight. Quite a bit of difference there in terms of that distance number. But as I mentioned, the front to back dispersion is pretty poor. So we’ve got like a 16, let’s call that 169 up to like 181. Just probably a little bit of difference of spin. So the spin just jumping a little bit there. Whereas you can see the tightness is going from like a 165 to 173. So a little bit tighter on that uh front to back. Both land angles good. 50 mark with the Shrixen. impressively 52 with that tightly. So, loads of stopping power there with that extra bit of spin. So, probably the tightest is just edging it in terms of that control into the green and maybe just that little bit of consistency between those small samples of shots. So, which are you going for? T100 ZXI7? Comment down below. Appreciate you watching the video as always and hopefully we’ll catch up with you all very soon.

  1. I have the new t100 / t150 blended set and i absolutely love the look, feel, and performance of these clubs.

  2. Never had a blade. Purchased T150 beginning of year. Your recommendation. Fairly happy. Hit it better than my past Srixon, callaway 200, muzuno 943 forged

  3. My only concern with the srixon in general is how high that smash can get at times – 1.38 on a dry lie is fine but from the rough and tug it a bit you really start to lose some control. T150 might be a better fit in this case.

  4. Never been a srixon guy (im a mizuno blade guy) But i have bear so many good things about these srixonz so i will try them soon

  5. I just switched from T100 to ZXi7. In baseball terms, it was like switching from a broom stick to a big barrel baseball bat. I just wished they could make ZXi7 without offset. Went from 8 to a 4 handicap.

  6. Thanks for the video – I am torn between t150/t250 combo vs ZXI5 – I was recommended accra shaft 105 g with zxi5 irons – any insight ?
