CHICAGO – Loyola men’s golf opens the 2025-26 slate at Golfweek Challenge on Sept. 6-9. A round will be played each day in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Each day will tee-off at 6:30 a.m. CT.
The teams will compete on the par-72, 7,126-yard course at True Blue Golf Club. Loyola is joined by Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay, South Carolina-Upstate, Nevada, Western Carolina, Presbyterian, Georgia Southern, East Texas A&M, Ball State, Mercer, North Alabama, and Central Arkansas.
Loyola’s opening weekend lineup features Charlie Kulwin, Sebastian Kasun, Jackson Overton, Ryan Walsh, and Dori Lee.
The Ramblers opened last season at the Golfweek Challenge and were led by Kasun who tied for 36th. He scored 291 (74-70-75). Lee and Kulwin also saw the course last year. Lee was a fee strokes behind in 42nd with a score of 221, while Kulwin placed 57th with a score of 226.
The Ramblers return everyone from last years squad and will be piloted by new head coach Peter Pougnet. Last season’s success was highlighted by a first place team and individual finish at Throw Down Up Top hosted by South Dakota in Homer, Nebraska. The Ramblers posted their lowest-to-par score of 860 (-16), while Kulwin finished -6 for first.
