MOREHEAD, Ky. — Coming off an Ohio Valley Conference championship season, Morehead State Women’s Golf is set to return to the course for the first time in 2025-26 this weekend. The Eagles will be at a familiar location to open the season – Pawley’s Island, S.C., for the GolfWeek Fall Invitational.
This will mark the sixth consecutive season MSU has opened a season at Pawley’s Island’s Caldedonia Golf and Fish Club. Last fall, the Eagles finished eighth among 18 teams, which was the best program finish at this tournament. MSU also will return to Caledonia in April for the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge.
The large field includes 19 teams, plus the Eagles, and is set for an 18-hole day Sunday through Tuesday.
Head coach Stephanie Barker’s 2025-26 roster includes three returning Eagles and five new student-athletes. Headlining the returners is the 2025 OVC Player of the Year and OVC Tournament medalist Tuva Marie Isebakke, here for her senior campaign. Senior Amelia Rae Greenlee and junior Isabella Wiley are both back and contributed greatly to the Eagles’ OVC title and NCAA regional berth last spring.
Technically here for the spring but not playing due to transferring, Claudia Hofmeister, will take part in her first event at MSU. She transferred from Delaware State after the 2024 fall portion of the schedule. Freshman Morgan Kennedy from nearby Catlettsburg, Ky., and Boyd County High School also gets the nod in the lineup for her first collegiate tournament.
MSU boasts two other transfers in Meri Illamola (Academy of Art [Calif.]) and Kerri-Anne Cook (Glenville State [W.Va.]), plus freshman Margaret Ulrich from Wichita, Kan., who will vie for competition time this year.
