“Mr Trump’s been clear all along that he would love to have the Open Championship here and he doesn’t want to do anything that derails that. That would be, obviously, his aim.
“And, to be honest, when LIV first appeared and made their rounds to Trump, Washington, Bedminster, and Doral, many assumed there was a good chance they would come here.
“But that was never on Mr. Trump’s radar. He sees the Open Championship’s history and heritage as reasons he wants to be here.
“They wouldn’t rule out any opportunity. The Scottish Open is particularly intriguing given our history with the Women’s British Open and the Seniors Open. We’re very open to discussing these possibilities. But, of course, the Ailsa should host the Open.”

Turnberry’s recent upgrades have further improved the course, thanks to support from Trump and his son Eric. Hall added: “It’s fantastic that they have this mindset. They’re always striving for perfection.
“Every conversation with Eric or Mr. Trump or anyone from the Trump Organization revolves around one question: ‘How can we make it better?’
“And similarly, with the golf academy, we’ve installed Trackman Range. I think we’ve done a great job. We’ve collaborated with Trackman, typically placing radars out in the field. They’re 90 meters away from the range and the two targets.
“I believe it’s about being the best possible golf resort. Their constant push for improvement is a testament to their commitment.”
