QUEENS, N.Y.– St. John’s Men’s Golf Coach Phil Wildermuth unveiled the Red Storm’s 2025-26 tournament schedule on Friday.
The Johnnies will compete in 11 tournaments throughout the 2025-26 campaign, traveling to nine different states. St. John’s will play in four events this fall beginning on Monday, Sept. 8 and seven events throughout the spring.
The Red Storm will begin the 2025-26 campaign on Monday when it competes at the Metropolis Intercollegiate hosted in White Plains, N.Y. on Sept. 8-9, hosted by Columbia.
Later in September, the Johnnies will travel to the UConn Invitation at GreatHorse to play in the three-day, three-round event in Hampden, Mass. Last year, the Johnnies finished third in the 13-team event, as Peicheng Chen took home medalist honors.
On Oct. 20-21, the Red Storm will head Cincinnati to participate in the Xavier Invitational at Maketewah Country Club. St. John’s last played in the tournament two years ago tallying a fifth place finish in 2023.
The Johnnies will close their fall slate with another local tournament as they will hit the course for the Wykagyl Invitational in New Rochelle, N.Y. on Oct. 27-28, hosted by Iona.
As the calendar turns to 2026, the men’s golf squad will return to the links for its first spring tournament on Feb. 2-3. The Red Storm will compete in the Bill Cullum Invitational at The Saticoy Club in Somis, Calif., hosted by Cal State- Northbridge.
St. John’s will head down to the Bayou for the Gulf Coast Collegiate in New Orleans on Feb. 21-22.
As the month turns to March, St. John’s will compete in two straight events in North Carolina. The team will square off in the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate on March 9-11 and the ECU Intercollegiate on March 16-17.
Next up for the Red Storm is the elusive Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, featuring top programs from across the country. After winning the GolfWeek Invitational last season, St. John’s qualified for the event in Augusta, Ga., on April 4-5. Following the tournament’s final round, all participating teams will have the opportunity to attend a practice round at The Masters at Augusta National Golf Club.
On April 18-19, the Johnnies will play in the Rutherford Intercollegiate in University Park, Pa. on the Penn State Blue Course.
The Red Storm will return to Riverton Pointe Golf Club for the 2026 BIG EAST Men’s Golf Championships scheduled for May 2-4.
The men’s golf program is entering the fourth year under Head Coach Phil Wildermuth. In his first three years leading the Johnnies, Wildermuth has had an individual make three consecutive NCAA Regional appearances. St. John’s returns four golfers from last year’s squad and adds a group of three talented freshmen.
