I borrowed a FAKE LAB Golf putter from Temu – but should I actually buy one? In this video, I test a Temu LAB copy putter for the very first time to see if it stacks up against the real thing. I put it through its paces with on-course putting tests, checking feel, roll, start line performance, and distance control.
LAB Golf putters are known for their unique lie-angle balance and zero torque design, but can a budget Temu replica really offer similar performance? If you’ve ever wondered whether a cheap LAB clone is worth trying, this video gives you a raw, unfiltered look at how it performs in real golf conditions.

👉 Watch until the end for my honest verdict: is this Temu LAB putter a hidden gem or just a waste of money?

Hi guys, welcome back. So, a friend of mine messaged last night to say I had a new golf toy for me to review. I had no idea what it was, so I’ve headed to see him today at Derby Golf Club and actually super excited to give this little toy a try. The thumbnail will give it away what it is. We have a zero torque putter from Teeu again. So, I’m a little bit excited to give this a review. So, I’m going to drive up to a green, get this zero torque. So, it says put her out. Give it a go. 90 quid. I think he paid. I’m a sucker for a big thick grip as well. Right. Mallet putter. Zero torque. 90. Let’s give it a go, guys. We’re heading that way. So, if you’re into your putters, I’m sure you’ve seen a lot about the lab putters. I’ve still got a 15, 20 year old ping putter in the bag. So, the idea of the autobalance face putter, which it does look pretty cool, is that it just wants to try and stay more square through impact, not the toe closing. So, the old which my pink putter is where we open the door, we close the door. Of course, I’m interested. I’ve never hit a lab putter. I am excited to give this a go. I say really good quality head cover as well. Lots of protection. It’s the DF3. In terms of looks, I think I’ve just had a quick look on the website. You can get them in different colors. I’ve actually just noticed as well, it does actually say lab putter on there. I’m not going into political details and all that kind of stuff. It looks really good quality. For me, I don’t think I’d personally play3400 pound for a putter. I don’t play tournament golf. I’m not playing for money. In terms of initial glances, I’ve seen these on a lot of the YouTube channels now. Looking down on the club, definitely sits more upright. Feels really good in the hand. I do like the big thick grip as well. Love a bit of white. Hopefully I can keep it white. I don’t want to give it that mucky to my friend in terms of weight. Feels really light. But how does it perform? So, I’ll give it a few tests on the green. So, I’m going to test it for feel. Can I get it starting online and with my distance control? I use a little clock face system. So, interested to see how it performs on that. Let’s get on the green. Have a first hit with this. See what it feels. So, 90 quid. Will I be nipping off to team website and purchasing this after I’ve given it a go? Let’s give it a go. Okay, so first puts with this putter. Definitely sits upright, but I am myself trying to get a bit closer to the ball. Got to get used to the ey line. It’s obviously got the markers on the top to help me line up. Obviously being a longer putter really helps me visually as well. But let’s get just one hit. See what it feels off the face straight away. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. First hits. Like I said, I’ve not used many putters. I’ve had one in the bag. I’ll flip between one and two for the past 10, 15 years. That feels really soft, really nice off the face straight away. Visually, it feels like on my eye at the moment that the face is slightly closed. That’s just getting used to the different visualization below and how it looks. But got to say just from the first three puts I’ve ever hit with this putter, I absolutely love the feel. Definitely a lot softer than with my putter what I use currently. Also with my putter, it is 15 years old, so it hasn’t got the technology of now. So, if I don’t get it in the middle quite, I can definitely tell. Got to say, really impressed. But, let’s put it through a few more situations. So, I’m quickly going to see how much side spin, if any, hopefully I’m not putting on the ball. I don’t get much time to practice. But one thing I do do just to check is when I get out on the putting green, can I just get the line to go over and over so I’m not putting any unwanted sid spin on. So, let’s give this a little go straight away. Can I get this to go end over end? Right, it’s definitely rainy today. So, let’s just give the face a little wipe. So, I just want to see can I get this to go end over end just by my normal putting stroke. So, first put with that. I’ll zoom in on that. But you can see he’s just going end over end. So, I’m not getting any sides spin on. So, I’m really happy with that one. So, feel really good. Getting none of the sides spin on. That’s a check for me. Let’s move on to a little 3 4 foot put in. Just see how it feels in terms of being a little bit more upright and not having to feel supposedly the arc as much. But feel, get the line running over. First two tests really happy with. Right. Right. So, let me give you a little bird’s eye view of what I am looking down and what it looks like on here. Again, with that white marker on the top really does help me line up when I put the line on properly. The longer depth of the putter definitely helps me see the line. I can visual I’m quite visual. So, I see the line running through from there. Thing I noticed for me, but it’s one to get used to. Obviously, the shaft is is in the center of the club. I’ve never used that before. In my ey line, it feels like the face looks a little bit closed. So, that’s how my eyes are looking, but for me, that looks a little closed, but obviously it probably isn’t. It’s just getting used to it visually. So, that’s what it looks like from above. So, in terms of comparison, I can’t compare this against the 300 lb lab putters, obviously. But, in terms of initial feels for me, I do like this softer feel off the club face. I like this setup. The shaft in the middle of the club face is not offputting. If I do a couple of practice strokes, it does feel really light as well. I can really feel then where the club head is. It just feels like it does just want to go with gravity. So, in terms of how it sets up behind the ball for me as well, when I first saw it, definitely different to what I’ve ever used before. But even after just five, six shots, I’m actually really liking it. Right, let’s move on to a little start line, then a bit of distance control. 90 quid. So, let’s give it a little start line drill. So, a couple of tegs just where the putter is going to go through. A little bit forgiving, but this is where I want the ball to go through. pure. So, all the tests so far really good. Let’s go on to a little bit of my distance control. See if I can use the same clock face system. Okay, let’s go into a little distance control. If you’ve seen my videos, I use a little bit of a clock face system. bit like a Bryson one for my 20 30 40 foot which is standard here which are normally 10 stimp and a little bit below especially when the rain is coming out for those of you seeing it try to use the same tempo so I look in terms of where my hands are the grip that’s just kind of where I see it in my peripheral so I keep the same tempo but my inside thigh is 20 foot mid thigh is 30 outside is 40 but let’s give it a But with this, will this still work? So, straight out the bat, I’ve set three markers up. 20, 30, 40 foot. Absolutely spot on. Let’s move to move you guys as well. So, we’re on to 30 foot, which would be my mid thigh. does feel nice. Also, with me, I can sometimes get I kind of yip. It’s hard to take the club away. For some reason, whether it’s the weight, the grip, it just feels easier for me to want to take it away. So, anyway, 30 foot, same tempo as what I do with my old putter. Let’s see how the speeds differ. The mid thigh. Wow. 90. I think I might be going to the website. Right. Come on. Right. 40 foot all in one take. 40 foot. Let’s concentrate. Oh, so bad start line. That was all on me. What was actually interesting in there, shocking start line, but I’ve actually hit that on here. But what it does show, if you see on there, the distance, it’s gone exactly 40 foot. So that’s super interesting that even with a shocking strike, it’s gone the distance I wanted it to go to. But let’s get that ball back. We’ll have one more go to 40 foot. Can I hit the middle of the club, but as you can see from the distance control, it’s gone exactly 40 foot. Can’t blame the putter for a shocking strike. That is pure. That has gone just over 39 foot. I would take those guys. Okay guys, our product review done. Just getting a bit of shelter in the boogie while we keep dodging this rain. But got to say from first test, first glances, got to say I’m super impressed. I love this softer feel. I’ve been looking to potentially upgrade my bike as I start this holding scratch at 46 series. So, I do want to look at changing a lot of my clubs, upgrading. So, putter, I didn’t really need to change it. I put really well, but honestly, I do like the feel, like the forgiveness looks. I actually really like the look. really helps my ey line when I’m lining it up. Obviously, the grip is a thicker grip. Obviously, you can change grip. I don’t know what else standard can it come with, but I do like the size, the feel. I do like the lightness, and I can really feel the control in the head. I don’t have to really manipulate anything. Whether it is autobalance, zero torque, I’m not techy enough to understand all of that in terms of putting, swing, and biomechanics. That’s my more my for a bit of speed. So, how it performed on the green did absolutely everything I’d want it to do. Start line was good. Get the ball rolling with no side spin. I did say what was interesting hitting really on the outside of here. It still went the exact distance what I was looking for. And if you’ve seen some of the videos, if you’re into your data, it’s all about really distance control, eliminating those three putts. Whereas miss hits before would have probably finished 2 3 foot shorter. So that was really interesting with that. A few teu products before. I’ve got grips on my golf club from Teimu. They were good. I bought a cheaper wedge. That was not so good. This one friend bought for £9. Have you tried one off Teeu? What other Teimu products have you got? But I’ve got to say for £90, I am super super impressed with this. And you never know, I might just be nipping on that website tonight and it might be coming in my bag. So check out the videos in the coming weeks. Has this putter gone into my bag? But DFree Teimu Lab Golf. Really impressed, guys. Right, until next time. Hopefully this rain will stop. I might take it out on the course before I give it back to my friend. Right, speak to you soon, guys. 90. Pretty good.
