most golf systems encourage using the lead arm in a dominant way it’s why the glove is worn on the lead hand so when you place your hands on the club with a strong grip you immediately put the lead hand in control and the trail hand becomes supportive just like shooting a basketball where this hand’s supportive and this hand’s dominant it’s an important relationship that the hands need to have when you hold a club where your right hand’s on the right side of the club and your left hand’s on on the left side of the club you’re holding in a way where nothing is supportive and they’re just competing with each other if you put your Trail hand even further on top of the club it makes it even worse because now it breaks down your lead hand so your Trail hand is all that you can deliver to the strike and like I said there are many swing systems that promote a dominant lead side during the swing well putting your Trail hand on top of the club is just going to ruin your relationship to it but when you have a strong grip and the strong grip is is really easy to create when I pivot my hands and arms pivot too I’m not turning my arms here the pivot is creating a different relationship now if my hands are going to stay in this place they’re going to have to make an adjustment well that adjustment is toward a stronger grip so I teach my students to Pivot then grip sole the club without giving up this closed setup position what that does is it put your hands on the club with a strong grip but

This is making soooo much sense!
😮
Genius . When we pivot. Do we use our right hand 1st to grip and sole the club . Or does it matter ?
Good explanation. I’ve always felt more comfortable with a stronger grip and as a former baseball player have always struggled with being too trail (right) hand dominant. Never heard someone explain it this way though. Cheers
Jim, I've been playing your system for a year now and have taken my handicap from a 8 to a 4 and enjoy so many benefits from being "still". While my miss is from getting over active coming over the top and coming out of posture (left and right misses) I have consistently gotten better and can still move the ball around with both fades and draws and have hit it more solid than ever before. Thanks so much for your videos!
Hey Jim! Trying to get my game in line, so I apologize if the question is a little out there. When you pivot to get your hands in a good place, do you pivot back to address the ball neutrally, or is that now your set up to hit the draw? Side note, I struggle with aiming at address so I’m curious as to if this could help. Thanks!
This video changed my life! Slice is gone and I have a small fade now which I can live with. Thank you!
