Alyssa, from the moment we met in 2019 working for the Tigers at Kame Park in Detroit, I knew there was something special about you. And I knew you were even more special when you tried to walk up the sketchiest street in Detroit on our first date after getting what I think was raspberry Merllo ice cream, even though they told us there was no actual wine in it. That was the moment I realized all I wanted to do was to be the one that would always be there to protect you for the rest of my life. From Michigan to Delaware to California and now here to Virginia and everywhere in between, my love for you has never swayed. No matter where we are, our love has always found a way to feel like home. [Music] On September 10th, 2019, you asked me to be your girlfriend. Now, 2028 days later, I get to call you my husband. I can’t wait to see you as a father. I know you will give our children a safe place to land like you’ve done for me. I look forward to growing old with you with one day reflecting on all the memories knowing that we’ve lived an amazing life. [Music] Now, this speech isn’t just about Graham finding his person. It’s also about the two incredible families coming together and the new one they’ll build. So, let’s all raise a glass to Graham and Alyssa. [Music] First, I just want to say uh thank you all for being here. It’s been great catching up with everyone and seeing a lot of people that I didn’t know from both sides of the family. Alyssa, meeting everyone here that I didn’t already know before. These two people have such a real connection and that’s what I’ve always seen from you guys is just uh always enjoying your time with each other and with us. Alyssa, I don’t think I’ve ever heard her complain. And if she has, it’s been totally valid and I’ve been like, I was thinking the same thing. You two complete each other and I am very happy that you both found each other. Used to chase a phrase. Couple of kids in a Chevrolet. catch a little air on the cross. Sipping on some paper. You found the perfect addition for our family. So, cheers to both of you. I love you both. Cheers. I guess I still chasing you like those good out of this town. Chasing that freedom. Chasing that feeling that got gone too soon. There’s so much I look forward to in our life together. Game nights with family and friends. Cozy movie nights on the couch. Chasing you. She’s full of class, kindness, and a witty sense of humor that can make just about anyone smile. As much as I cherish being by her side through all these years, nothing has made me happier than knowing she has found the perfect partner in Graham. [Music] Alyssa would talk about this guy she met at work. I think you all know where that was. Of course, I immediately assumed you were a player. Not a baseball player, but just like a player. And I would ask all of my dad questions. What I vividly recall is the way she answered the questions when we talked about you. She smiled the entire time and talked about you with this confused certainty. [Music] Can I be close to you? Wherever life takes us, I vow to always be there for you, to protect you, to lift you up, cuz you’re a little small. To be your biggest supporter, to love you endlessly, and to be your person no matter what. I promise to keep choosing you every single day. And as catchy as Misty is, I can’t wait to hear your fourth graders finally call you Mrs. Nolan. I love you and I will spend the rest of my life showing you just how much it was just two lovers sitting in the car listening the blonde falling for each other pink and orange skies feeling super childish no Donald Glover let’s call from my mother like where you at tonight got no alibi I was all alone with the love of my life she’s got glitter for skin my radiant beam in the I don’t need no light to see you. Your compatibility is so clearly noticeable to everyone in the room. I think I can confidently say that I know your marriage will flourish.
