Did you guys see the European captain picks? Who is our captain? Uh Luke Donald. Um first names. Yeah, first names. We’re trying everything we can to make fun of these guys. We’re running out of stuff here, buddy. Dan, it’s almost like uh like Heavy Gilmore 2 where they have the regular tour and then they have the Maxi League. How they uh they advertise their teams. Uh I I will say one was a little more made for TV. Yeah. Yeah. Uh well, let’s run through those. We’ll take a look at the Europeans captain’s picks. Uh we had John Rom, Lud Vigberg, Shane Lowry, Matt Fitzpatrick, Sept Straka, and Victor Havland. You guys might notice that of the 12 players on the European Rder Cup team, 11 of them are exactly the same and one of them is almost exactly the same. Uh, as we know at the whatever random Masters that they play somewhere else that shouldn’t be called the Masters, Rasmus Hoygard snuck his way in to a locked automatic qualifier pick. Uh, the brother of Nicholas Hoygard. So, in terms of last names, it is an identical match. 12 for 12 for team Europe. You interchangeable lookalike brothers, you know what I mean? And quite honestly, if one of them subbed out the other brother, I don’t think any of us would notice a difference. No, they play the same, too. Like, have a good one, Rasmus. He’s like, “Okay, sounds good.” Usually, if one of them’s up there, the other one’s up there with them in the leaderboards. A lot of the comments on the internet are uh I don’t know, saying the US could be cooked with this European team, guys. Are are we still feeling strong here? Do we have confidence? Is this a Is this a guaranteed win at Beth Paige black? I’ll be honest, I’m all in for USA, but this team is kind of ferocious. He’s an impostor. I swear. No, the guy in Europe. I feel like your team. You know why? He’s setting up for the replay clip that we can recall here in like three weeks. I’m the only one. I said it. He’s wearing blue shirt, blue hat today. And then Rich is going to do the old like, well, the fans want the US to win, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Cover all your bases there. Just leave a little opening so you’re never super wrong. Just make me the heel. Yeah. There you go. Meanwhile, I make these outrageous claims where I’m definitively wrong. There’s no wiggle room. And we’re not going to address it after No, no, no, no, no. Cut it out of the show, guys. Get it out of here. Um I Here’s the thing, though. I just feel like the US team is due. I feel like we have an incredibly strong team and I I think we’re going to have some homec court advantage because I am choosing to believe that the crowd energy that New York is going to bring out could tip the scales in some in some regard. Do you hope they’re New York mean? Yes. Yeah, I do. I really do. some rowdy Long Islanders out there. Like, can you imagine if this was in Chicago? Do you know what they should do right now just to again help things? Discount the alcohol. Yeah. Oh, please. You know what I mean? Like, let’s run cheap beers all day. I don’t know. Get this crowd just riled up out there in Long Island. Need that. Can we revisit just a quick second the difference between the way the US made the announcement for the Ryder Cup and the way that Europe made the announcement? I think it’s only fair that we do because it was embarrassing. It was so bad. It was really bad. They I don’t know. Do you think that they had that Europe had that already planned out or do you think they saw ours and they’re like, “Oh, let’s just do ours 700 times better.” I mean, anything was 700 times better. Like, yeah, Keegan had like a folding table. These guys, you know, sitting on Zoom and then the other guys in this beautiful studio, graphics flying, sound effects, you know what I mean? So nice. I don’t know. I mean, can we get a redo? I I think Keegan should do a redo. He’s like, “You know what? My last version was so boring. We’re going to announce him again, and this time we’re going to do it in a stadium. Uh, we’re going to have, you know, lights going on. He takes himself over, can’t we?” And also, how cool would it have been if you had fans that were in the audience, not a bunch of reporters? Yeah. Oh, yeah. It would have been so good. Like, fans would have been pumped already. They would have been like cheering.
