SHIZUOKA, Japan – GW golf saw its season-opening tournament in Japan cut short due to Typhoon Peipah wiping out the final round. In two days of action, GW posted a 22-over 590 to finish 7th in the 12-team field.
Manuel Barbachano led the Buff & Blue with a 2-over 144 to finish in a tie for 29th. The senior fired an opening round 69 (-2) on Wednesday before coming back with a 4-over 75 on Thursday. Evan Eichenlaub (+6, T-54) and Maxime Lam (+8, T-72) both made their GW debut in the event.
The Revolutionaries face a quick turnaround, flying back stateside to compete in the Whirlwind Invitational in Phoenix, hosted by USC, on Monday and Tuesday at Whirlwind Golf Club.
