Initially you barely made eye contact and you were clearly uncomfortable being around unfamiliar folks. But time would show that the bridge we rode across that first day, just shy of four years ago, would be symbolic to us crossing over to our new lives together as husband and wife. I’m blessed that now you can look into my eyes every day. When you rode into my life, I wasn’t looking for love in all the wrong places because quite frankly, I wasn’t looking. I didn’t think I needed to get married because I thought I was good all by myself. I mean, I thought aside from God’s love, I thought the love I received from my family and friends and especially Neil Nila was all I needed. You are so caring, so selfless. I remember times when you got tired of telling me take a break from work and get some lunch and lunch would show up at my door. I remember getting sick at home and you telling me I telling you that you I didn’t need any medicine and later you showed up with everything I could possibly need. Maybe I wasn’t all good by myself. I wasn’t about It wasn’t about you bringing me things. I just wasn’t used to someone caring so much and genuinely want you to do things and take care of me. We enjoyed doing so many things together like bike rides, roller skating, and hikes to name a few. You also independently nurtured a great relationship with Nila. Heck, she might have she might speak to you more than she speaks to me at this point. So, in a relatively short time, I realized that I need you in my life and wanted to marry you. I’m happy that you proved me wrong. That surely wasn’t the last time. I admire you. You give your all in everything you do, whether it’s for your friends, family, and or upon the people them job. People them jobs. Okay. You say you when you say you’re going to do something, you get it and you get an idea in your head. You’re going to work to get it done up until the very last minute. As the word of God itself says, “So shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” By his apostles, he has instructed those who enter into this relationship to cherish a mutual esteem and love for one another, to share in each other’s infirmities and weaknesses, to comfort each other in sickness, in trouble, in sorrow, in health, in wellness, to provide for each other and for their household. to pray and to encourage one another and to live together as hes of the grace of life. Can we look to God in a word of prayer? Let us pray. As Ma and Dave braid this robe, they are demonstrating their commitment to build their lives joined together with Christ both now and forever. Let the church say, “Amen.” Amen. But we took lunch together one day and we’ve been together ever since. Um, I want to acknowledge the mason of honor who gained her wings cuz I probably wouldn’t be standing here in this space if she was with us. So, I want to take a moment to acknowledge that I wrote a little something cuz you always support my writing. So, I wrote something for you. Special defined. A love so pure it’s hard to define. Unconditional, intentional, enduring the test of time. A missing piece I thought had died. You, dear friend, fill a void in my heart. A mother’s love once refined.
