All right, let’s welcome Bubba Watson, captain of Range Goats GC. Bubba, well played today. 500 pass score of 66 here at the opening round of Live Golf UK by JCB. Can you just talk us through your round today? Yeah, I just I think I um I don’t know any stats. I literally just got off the golf course. So, um my putting I thought my putting was good. Uh saved me a few holes. Um made birdies on a few holes. Um, you know, it was it was a good start, uh, birding the the first hole, fourth hole, but my first hole. Um, so it was nice to to roll a putt in right away. Um, number six to make par there is a big step for me since I struggled on it last year. Um, so it was good. It was, you know, I started off pretty decent and, um, and then I just made birdies where you’re supposed to make birdies. Yep. Fans were out in force today. Can you just explain what the the atmosphere was like out there? Yeah, the atmosphere is great. U this is perfect weather. You couldn’t ask for better weather. Uh maybe less wind just for the golfers, but all the people out there, they were they were cheering for shots. They were uh in good they were good spirits. U it was very nice. Um you couldn’t ask for more, right? I mean, especially since I was playing good. If I was playing bad, maybe maybe it wouldn’t have been good spirits, but it lucked out for me today. I played good. So, um, but no, the crowd is always good here. Um, they understand golf. They understand good shots and bad shots, especially when we come across the pond. And so, um, um, they they respected good shots when they know a 20footer is a good shot sometimes. Let’s hand it over to media. If you could just raise your hands. Can’t talk to the exist. Hey, Bubba. Um, it seems like this year your putting has been sort of on another level. Like this has been one of your best putting years. your your stats kind of say you’re pretty um elite on live as far as putting goes. Um is there anything you did in the offseason or is there anything you’re like focusing on to um improve on it this year? I I talked to Peter Uline who’s on my team. Um he’s well known for being a great putter. Uh probably top five, top 10 in the world in putting. I’d say top five. But um so I asked him what he did and um he told me, you know, he works on his stroke. Uh works on trying to get the stroke the same every time. And so uh he told me a couple things to do, a couple training aids, a couple different things to use. Uh and then, you know, went back to the ping engineers and asked them, “What kind of putter do I need? I need something that can, you know, hit it harder, but also keep the ball in line if you misit it.” Um, and so, you know, we went to a mallet. I got a mallet, a time putter. Um, and it’s working so far. I’m I’m getting them to the hole. I in my career, I usually leave them a little short, so they’re just kind of just missing because I like to dye the putts. And now it’s getting a little bit little bit harder without changing my stroke. It’s getting a little bit harder. So, it’s more going in. Any more over to you, Mike? Well, I was just curious if you felt like now that we’re closing in on the on the regular season, do you feel like that people have their game faces on, they’re like maybe a lot more serious because there’s open zone, there’s drop zone, there’s relegation, there’s top there’s a lot more stress. 100%. There’s more stress. There’s people um not knowing the number. I do know the number, but not knowing the number, um, how many guys are are without a contract next year. Um, so there’s people that are stressed. They’re trying to get top 24. They’re trying to stay in the top 48. You know, there’s a lot of movement. There’s a lot of um having to step up and hit great golf shots because they know what’s on the line. Uh, to be to be in an elite league like this, they want a contract. They want to be able to play here next year. So, um, there’s a lot of stress out there for sure. Thanks, All right, Bubba, thank you very much. Well played today. That was the easiest one ever.
