A man accused of attempting to assassinateDonald Trump at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, last September has made a bizarre offer to prosecutors that plays to the president’s interests.

And, yes, it involves golf.

Ryan Routh, 59, filed a motion Tuesday objecting to an attempt by the prosecution to introduce new evidence just weeks before trial, which isset to begin next week in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Routh called the timing “absurd,” but offered a bizarre and unlikely solution to any impasse, according to the Palm Beach Post.

“If you would like to trade admitting the evidence for my subpoena of that baboon Donald J Trump, bring that idiot on; it is a deal,” Routh wrote.

Routh said in his motion that if he couldn’t subpoena Trump then he’d accept “all the others on my recent subpoena list,” but admitted “a beatdown session would be more fun and entertaining for everyone.”

In addition, Routh also asked for access to “documents, phone, visitation, email, and maybe a computer and printer,” and said “some female strippers would be great too.”

Although Routh might not have the leverage he thinks he has, that didn’t stop him from making a very extreme offer to settle his case.

“A round of golf with the racist pig, he wins, he can execute me, I win, I get his job. (sorry hillbilly Vance),” Routh wrote.

You can see an excerpt of Routh’s request below.

It’s unlikely prosecutors ― or Trump ― will take up Routh on his “generous” offer as the U.S. legal system does not allow federal crimes to be adjudicated via (checks notes) sporting events between suspects and victims.

Routh allegedly attempted to assassinate Trump last September at the president’s West Palm Beach golf club.

Secret Service agents spotted a person hiding in the bushes and the muzzle of an AK-style weapon sticking through the greenery several hundred yards from where Trump was playing.

An agent fired at the man hiding who then dropped his weapon and fled in an SUV. Officers ID’d him as Routh after apprehending him in a neighboring county and took him into custody.

Jury selection is currently scheduled to begin Monday, and Routh is expected to represent himself, though court-appointed attorneys will remain as standby counsel.
