Um, but Jimmy’s not here today, so it’s just we’re up against you and you’ve I can see you’ve only got one club. I’ve got a six iron. Yeah, six iron. It’s exactly what Matt and Jimmy used. Why the six iron? Just out of interest. I remember watching Dan Bradbury do a one club one club challenge. I think he like shot level par or something. He had six iron. I just thought try and be like Dan Bradbury. That’s basically it really. Fair enough. Fair enough. Fair enough. Right. Because it’s just us two today. We’re okay. We’re, as you know, we’re not great. Do you when you play in tournaments like this, do do you get nervous at all before you? Yeah. How do you battle that or do you have any mechanisms? And make sure you’ve done your preparation. It always comes back to preparation. Monday to Wednesday, put the work in and then you just got to go and play. See what happens. But yeah, I mean, you’re always nervous. Yeah. Look at that. Like again when you talk about nerves it’s just the biggest club in it. So you just and drivers nowadays are built to be a bit probably more forgiving than they used to be. Yeah. Are there for people to do all like this speed training and hit as hard as they can. So yeah just like you say when you are nervous the best thing you can do is just swing freely and hit as hard as you can I think. So that’s why you always kind of want to hit driver. Absolutely. You always been good with the driver because like we said when you come on Golf Club we’re just like me Andrew and Jimmy are like this boy is unbelievable. Yeah. Is it something you met as well was so good as well. I think when I was younger I used to be quite short as in in height um and quite small. I was always like one of the smallest kids in my year. Yeah. But I kind of learned from a young age to hit the ball quite far. So I did everything like to kind of do that and then which I think is a really important thing for like kids nowadays growing up like learn to just hit the ball far and then you can dial in the rest of it later on. Do you know what I mean? So you would say just power power first and like learn to be quick learn to be athletic. 232 to the middle rich 216 to the front. Yeah. Win me. And 249 to the back. I think I can I I’m going to try bit of wind down at the right. I’m going to rip one at that bunker and try and just hook it onto that left side of the green. That’s what I’d do. To be fair, like me and my Mrs. Ellie, like when we play like the Dunhill links or anything like you just get to go to St. Andrews and you’re in the town of St. Andrews and it is just golf everywhere. It’s literally magical now. Oh my god. The feeling of walking down one 17 18 and just being in that town is again as a golf lover. Yeah. Like nothing nothing uh nothing compares to that. But how did golf come around for you? Why did you start playing? Um I was a failed footballer really. Um talk to me what position. Uh I was I started out as a striker. Yeah. Then kind of went center attacking mid, but I was always a finisher. I was always like scored quite a lot of goals at the level I kind of played at. What sort what sort of sound did you get to? I didn’t like not not really any to be honest, but I was I was good at the level I was playing at, but then not actually but I did get a couple of little like cuz I was I was always really small. So that was always what held me back. Like I was quite quick. Um, also the reason I’m a Liverpool fan because my I used to think I was like Michael O. Michael who was out and scored goals. So, um, but and then my dad played golf. Um, and I just kind of always when I was nine, I’d go down the driving range, but then when I was about 12, 13 was when I kind of decided I was going to focus on golf a bit more. Um, and I had my gross bur when I was about 15, right? Um, so yeah, but always loved my football. Um, obviously still follow it now, but of course that me there. Um obviously golf can be quite a lonely sport and I think the thing is like we’re all out here trying to do the same thing. Yeah. And like everyone, right, who doesn’t matter if you’re playing for fun at home or playing on tour for your living, if you’re enjoying it and you’re just kind of I’ve always come back to I love the game just like you love the game. Yeah. And then I’m lucky that I happen to be pretty good where I can do it as my job. Yeah. And then as long as that’s my baseline, Yeah. I’m in a pretty good spot, then it helps to free me up and actually play some good golf. So then you add in being fortunate enough to have some mates out on tour and we’re all out there supporting each other, pushing each other. Uh Callum Hill goes and wins, which helped me win. I win, which Yubo then almost wins a couple of weeks later. Then Connor win and it’s and it’s like now all of a sudden I want to win again and it’s like I love that. I love it’s like team unity against each other but you I was part like my first love was football and I was in a team sport. Yeah. I played college golf in America being on a team and if you can kind of actually have that where you’ve got people you are actually rooting for and pushing each other it’s I think it’s healthy. Um cuz there is people out there who can be quite bitter and when it and it gets lonely and it’s like golf’s hard like it’s easy to start beating yourself up and get down in the down in the dumps with it. So, um, no, I think we’ve got a good group of us and we’re all kind of similar age and we’re all doing pretty good and, um, yeah, just trying to get better really.
