Golfers from across the country converged on Pitt Meadows Golf Club for the 2025 Canadian U15 championships.
About 100 of the country’s best U-15 golfers took part in the competition that began on Tuesday, Aug. 26, and ran until Friday, Aug. 29.
Locally, Tiger Xie, of Surrey, who golfs out of the Pitt Meadows Club, tied for fifth place with four other competitors with a final score of one over par.
Jay You of Langley, tied for 10th spot with four others, with a final score of two over par, and Tiger Yuanjun Liu from Surrey, tied for 15th spot with four others with a final score of three over par. Both You and Yuanjun Liu, also golf out of the Pitt Meadows Golf Club.
Owen Beaulac from Victoria took first place with a final score of five under par, and Like Bernakevitch of Victoria came second at two under par.
Jaden Arnold of Calgary, AB, and Bennett Live of Red Deer AB, tied for third at even par.
On the girls side, Maggie Zhang of Richmond, came first with a score of two under par, Riviera Lindholm of Toronto, ON, came second at one under par, and Kaeleigh Chung of Richmond Hill, ON, and Kathleen Dunn, of Surrey, tied for third at one over par.
Mission’s Avery McAbee tied for 14th place with two others at 11 over par.
