Hi all, been lurking on here for a while and am about to start my first build.
The space is above a detached garage and has a gambrel roof which makes things a little interesting
The ceiling is 10 ft high
The space in front of the half wall stairs has about 12 ft of width where there is 10 ft ceiling above it. This is where I am initially thinking of putting it. There are other options like in front of the wide walls windows but I would have to push it out a couple feet due to the gambrel roof.
Budget isn’t too strict but I would like to stay below 20k ideally 15k.
Initial thoughts are
-Uneekor ceiling mounted launch monitor
-DIY Cage
-Mat still need to research what it best
PC and projector I would like some suggestions as I am not very well versed in that area.
With all the windows in here do you all think I will need shades for all of them?
I have read about Black Friday deals on launch monitors and am planning to hold off until then to purchase one.
Any input, ideas, or tips are greatly appreciated.

I think you’re going to break a window.
Sick space. You’ll def want to make that room dark to preserve the picture. You can build a sick sim for 15k
Just use heavy sim curtains, you can retract them when not in use. I am almost done with my install and I got a uneekor rear mount monitor and an AK700ST benQ projector. I still need to fabricate my enclosure.
Sportscreen makes retractable screens & also have retractable side/shank screens 😁
Gonna be a beautiful sim, nice room for it too
Nice room – jealous!!!
Personally, I’d put it at the far end of the room. You’ll ‘permanently’ just block those 3 windows. The wall indentions shouldn’t cause an issue and just build your enclosures to form fit that space.
Then you’re never hitting ‘at someone’ coming up the stairs. Rest of the space is still useable for a bar/seating etc.
