I have a neighbor that knew i was starting to get into golf. She gave me a bag of clubs and under a ping G25 Headcover, this was under. A prestine g425 with a Miyazaki shaft. Shaft says its tour issued, is this club special?

It makes a special sound but it’s a great club

$650 driver brand new when it came out. This is the driver that I got fitted for and I love Taylormade. I just couldn’t say no to this club

It’s 3 models ago. Since has been the 430, 10K and now the 440 but it’s a great driver. I love ping drivers and woods.

I just spent £200 on a used one of these, with a different shaft.

    Lucky thing.

G425 was year 2021. Still plays great though.

Nobody on tour is playing Miyazaki. Maybe Champions Tour. Not sure.

    That’s a great neighbor.
    Wanna trade?

I like my ping g425 driver and irons and just picked up a g440 4 wood and it’s my favorite club to hit.

Brand new and one of the best available

In my experience, Ping makes the best driver for hitting fairways. I believe this is also the low spin model, which should make hitting straight balls even easier. Ping isn’t sexy, but it is dependable. I am a Ping guy for life.

Lst may be a little harder to hit but you should be able to game it

Good quality shaft, but very light and will be pretty “whippy” depending on your clubhead speed. Kind of an odd combo, that’s a shaft I’d expect to see on someone with 85-90mph clubhead speed, but a head that’s typically optimized for players with 115+.

You could pretty easily swap that shaft out for one you prefer, if it’s not a great fit. You could probably even sell that shaft for a reasonable couple bucks towards something more suited to your game. That’s not a beginner head, but if you’re on a tight budget it’s not a terrible option for you.

You’re a lucky fucker and have a great neighbor!

  13. Never heard of the PGA Tour Partners Club but that’s a pretty cool thing to read up on.

G425 is a great club, just not a great noise. I know nothing about that shaft.

Your neighbor must be loaded to just give that away

Your neighbor gifted this to you, bro! Keep that thing in your bag or on the wall, my man. It is indeed special.

  16. G425 LST is designed to be a low spin driver head. Usually preferred by players with higher swing speeds. Oddly, that shaft appears to be senior flex. Am I seeing that right? If so, that’s a very unusual combination and I’d honestly be pretty surprised if that combo worked well. Most players who benefit from a senior flex shaft will want the regular or the max driver head, to get more spin on the ball to create lift more easily.

Great head. If you struggle with hitting it, talk to a local fitter about putting a stiffer shaft in.

  17. I put my 425 back in the bag after trying the 430 and 440.

I freaking love mine and paid like $300 for it slightly used about 3 years ago so you have a very nice neighbor!

  19. Incredible driver. Made my worst club in my bag my strongest

I have the G425 Max (not the LST) and love it. Still use it.

  21. BogeyLowz

It’s POS. I’ll take it off your hands for $100 so you don’t carry that burden.

Is the house on the other side of your neighbor for sale???

  23. BiscottiEven9803

Gross bro sell that to me. Thats worth nothing, your neighbor hates you!

  24. You need to repost this in r/AmItheAsshole for bragging about what a great club you got for free.

  25. Rich-Animator-1450

Do his wife, she might give the irons too.

  26. Ok-Dot-5344

Don’t be surprised if your neighbor comes over for more than a cup of sugar in the future!

This gives me “lives in gated community vibes”
