This can be the most frustrating thing on the golf course

Even perfect putts can miss sometimes. This is lined up perfectly with the hole. But look, they don’t all go in. So, it might not always be your fault.

Sometimes perfect putts don’t go in

  1. I guess it is how each individual dimple contacts each insividual plade of grass, adds enough unpredictability to change a putt from in to out.

  2. The balls are not perfectly balanced, in other words they don't rotate on the same axis. Better test is to run the test with a same ball or better yet run the test with a balanced ball. With that said if the test is to prove that same balls from the same manufacturing lot are not all balanced then yes.

  3. There are so many variabeles here. First, is the green properly maintained? And you hear people saying "don't step on the line" right? The fact that the ball went the same line in a row, it changes the line. Is the ball the same exact ones? You cant prove it this method

  4. I have worked for golf courses for years…If you look closely the greenskeeper is slightly dropping the ball from a higher point on the stint reader. Causing more momentum, more velocity and speed, and a seemingly “inaccurate read”

  5. The difference in the way he pulls his fingers away matters a lot more than you’d think. If he had some sort of mechanism that was perfect every time I assure you every single one would go in
