I’ve been playing off and on for about a year now. The only lesson that I’ve had was a few months ago that greatly improved my grip and swing with a Pitching Wedge. I’ve been told by others that I need to engage my hips and rotate more in general. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Teed way too high for a 3wood and stop swaying backwards. Also…. Hit the ball hard!

Definitely would work on grip and stance, hand position at address. Just look at any pic of any pro, and none will look like your current set up. Emulate what they look like at address and start from there

  3. Your arms + club are literally in a straight line…

no one hits a three wood off the tee. You look stiff my guy loosen up

As someone who taught themselves how to play and hit a golf ball, I would encourage you to check out videos by Paul Wilson and The Body Swing. You are all arms which will never lend to consistency. You need to learn how to hit with your lower body and hips. I’ve found his program to be the best at providing drills and training to help with this. If nothing else, buy an Orange Whip and use it to groove your swing for a while.

Don’t use a tee if you don’t have a smaller one. People hit 3w in the fairway all of the time (so you don’t need a tee to hit a 3w). And let your arms hang down naturally, they should be much closer to to your body.

  7. Drop your hands. With your current setup, let your arms hang naturally. That’s where your hands should be.

Option A- lessons. Option B, if you’re not a 6 or better, trade it for a 5 wood and hit it off the ground.

  9. Lower tee, stand closer to the ball for two quick ones
