On Tuesday, 27 August, Falmouth Golf Club was the setting for a remarkable fundraising effort as junior golfer Jenson Davis, aged 10, completed a 72-hole challenge in a single day.

The event was held to raise money for the Falmouth Juniors’ upcoming tour to Portugal in February 2026, where they’ll compete against the Vilamoura Golf Academy.

Jenson was joined by fellow junior Theo Davies, who is also part of the touring squad.

Despite early morning thunder and rain, both players stuck to the task and completed the challenge late in the evening, finishing on the 18th hole with glow-in-the-dark golf balls.

A group of junior players gathered to cheer them on at the finish, rounding off a successful day.

Funds raised from the challenge will go towards travel, coaching, green fees, accommodation, and team kit for the Portugal tour.

The total amount raised from the event is currently being confirmed.
