WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Sophomore Elvira Flodstrom paced Little Rock on the opening day of the Boilermaker Invitational Monday, carding a 6-over 74 on the demanding Kampen-Cosler Golf Course.
Junior Eleonore Aernouts followed closely with a 75, as the Trojans finished the first two rounds in 12th place, ahead of Toledo and Lehigh. Ole Miss sits atop the leaderboard after day one.
“Today, obviously, wasn’t the best golf this team can play, however, we had a lot of early-season nerves to dust off and get out of the way,” said head coach Jenna Birch. “This golf course is a beast, and a great way to start the season, and I am looking forward to seeing the resilience of all of the players and how they bounce back tomorrow.”
The Trojans return to action Tuesday morning for the final round, with tee times beginning at 8 a.m.
